Beyond that, we recommend equipping the pool with additional protective measures complying with French standard NF P90-307/A1. Following standard NFP 90-307/A1, your alarm is con gured for a rectangular pool 4 x 8 m in size and 1.40 m depth (the most widely used type of pool in France). Gre By Visiopool® can be used in pools up to 5 x 12 m in size. Gre By VISIOPOOL® analyzes the movement of the water in your pool and knows how to distinguish interference waves (cascade, ltering, rain, wind) from those emitted by the falling of a body. The response time is proportional to the distance between the point of detection and the point of immersion. Warning ! The installation and use of an alarm system is no substitute for your personal vigilance. The Gre By VISIOPOOL® is an additional tool to human vigilance for supervision of pools. This method is no substitute for the attention of adults. Supervise your children carefully! Limits of Use p. 14
  • You can use the alarm Gre By VISIOPOOL® only if the pool installation allows complete intervention (including rescuing in the pool) in under 3 minutes from the house or place of accommodation.
  • The standard NFP 90-307/A1 relating to pool alarms speci es the detection of any
  • The standard NFP 90-307/A1 relating to pool alarms speci es the detection of any fall within a maximum time of 12 seconds : therefore the Gre By VISIOPOOL® may not fall within a maximum time of 12 seconds : therefore the Gre By VISIOPOOL® may not be situated more than 7 meters away from any potential fall site. In order to make large sized pools compliant, you may have to install one or more additional Gre By VISIOPOOL® alarms.
  • The safety, alarm and fault signals must be audible from the house or place of accommodation. This must be veri ed during installation.
  • Shape and equipment of the pool: For pools of unique shape or in the case of large pools (close to 12 x 5 meters), only an onsite test can verify the compatibility of the Gre By VISIOPOOL® with your equipment. Warning: some pool equipment may be incompatible with the proper functioning ofDecember 2016 Alarm for swimming pool GRE by VisioPool® - Instruction manual- User Manual Page 5

the Gre By VISIOPOOL® alarm (pool covering, cleaning robot, etc.). Ask your installer for advice.

  • The Gre By VISIOPOOL® alarm is not designed for free-standing pools with soft walls, pools without a border, mirror pools, pools equipped with a gradually sloped access or pools equipped with a high rate of ltering (similar to that of a counter-current system). The use of a bubble cover can impede operation of the Gre By VISIOPOOL® alarm.
  • In surveillance mode, the Gre By VISIOPOOL® alarm device adapts its sensitivity to the agitation conditions in the pool. Its sensitivity can be diminished in the case of very strong winds, storms or bad weather conditions. The wind tests were performed according to the methods speci ed by standard NF P90-307/A1. Be extra vigilant if there is strong wind, gusts of wind or bad weather conditions that could a ect the sensitivity of your Gre By VISIOPOOL® alarm. Checking the Packaging and Contents Despite all care we take in the quality of our products and their packaging, we ask you to check the contents and the condition of your Gre By VISIOPOOL® alarm device. The package should contain : A - A plate with a circuit board, with 100 dB siren, switch with lock and battery compartment, B - Gre By VISIOPOOL® housing, C- Plunger tube D - O-ring E - A blister of 4 professional alkaline batteries, E - A blister of 4 professional alkaline batteries, A plastic bag containing: F - 2 contact keys, F - 2 control magnets, G – 2 magnets H - 4 plastic pegs, J - 4 square steel nuts, K - 4 steel screws 4 x 20 mm, L - 4 steel screws 4 x 30 mm, M - 2 steel screws 4 x 40 mm, N - 2 steel screws 4 x 50 mm, P - 4 soft washers, Q - 4 spacers for adaptation to all kinds of borders, R - An installation and operation R - An installation and operation manual, S - A warranty card to ll in and return for the warranty to be valid.Page 6 Alarm for swimming pool GRE by VisioPool® - Instruction manual- User Manual December 2016 Checks before rst use Gre By VISIOPOOL® alarm systems are tested at every stage of their manufacture. Nevertheless, despite the care we take, if a device has been damaged during shipping, storage or bad handling that could a ect its components, only a test during installation can assure that it works properly Put the 4 supplied alkaline batteries into your Gre By VISIOPOOL alarm, making sure to get the polarity right. The compartment is designed to lock the batteries in working position: clip them into place by pressing them rmly with your thumb. Attach the plunger tube to the Gre By VISIOPOOL alarm, not forgetting the O-ring (see diagram).

stop it by switching the alarm o with the key. If the test is successful, then your immersion detector is ready to be installed. If the test failed, check to make sure the batteries are correctly in place and then repeat the test. If the problem persists, get in touch with your vendor or ACIS. Choice of Installation In order to minimize the alarm’s response time in the event of a fall, the Gre By VISIOPOOL® device must be fastened at the middle of the longer edge of your pool and have the entire pool in direct line of sight.

  • The alarm is designed to be fastened to the border (the curvature of the cover matches the pro le of classical borders. The spacers can be used to compensate for gaps). The safety, alarm and fault signals must be audible from the house or place of accommodation. This must be veri ed during installation.
  • Install permanent notices that the pool and its surroundings are under electronic surveillance.
  • Install your Gre By VISIOPOOL® device more than one meter away from any recirculation ducts, skimmers, waterfalls or other equipment that generates noise in the pool.
  • Keep the access to the control zone (magnetic sector) of the VISIOPOOL® free and clear.
  • The alarm has an IPX5 protection factor. It is not protected from immersion. In accordance with speci cations of standard NF P90-307/A1, your Gre By VISIOPOOL® device must be fastened in such a way that it cannot be removed by bare hands alone. Your Gre By VISIOPOOL® alarm must be rmly fastened to the border of your pool. The Gre By VISIOPOOL® alarm is equipped with pre-drilled holes and spacers for fastening it solidly to your pool border (minimum width : 100 mm). Verify that the support (border, terrace, etc.) is truly stable, since the Gre By VISIOPOOL® must not vibrate for it to work optimally. The alarm must be installed switched o , with the cover removed. Position the alarm in such a way that the plunger tube is at least 5 mm away from the edge of the border. The Gre By VISIOPOOL® alarm is designed to be fastened to rigid borders at least 100 mm wide.
  • Of the 6 possible xation points, you must use at least 4. You can choose to use the spacers (Q) or not in order to obtain the sturdiest xation possible. The tube of the sensor must be vertical.
  • Drill holes and insert pegs (in cement borders only)
  • The foam rubber washers (P) go directly underneath the housing, or underneath the spacers if the latter are used.
  • Screw the alarm onto the border using the 4 screws of the right length.

bip bip bipPage 10 Alarm for swimming pool GRE by VisioPool® - Instruction manual- User Manual December 2016 Note : if your alarm does not succeed in detecting the fall in less than 12 seconds, it may be necessary to shorten the plunger tube. If this turns out to be necessary, only cut the tube by 2 cm at a time, and repeat the test after each cut. In any case, the end of the plunger tube must still be more than 14 cm beneath the water. It is also necessary to take into account the possibility of a low water level during periods of high evaporation. Test result Valid Action The fall is detected in less than 12 seconds (maximum) Yes Stop the siren It takes more than 12 seconds to detect the fall No Repeat the test or contact your vendor or ACIS. The fall is not detected No At the end of the tests, the Gre By VISIOPOOL® alarm will automatically return to surveillance mode once the pool water has become still again, which can take up to 12 minutes. As it swaps to surveillance mode, the alarm emits a series of bleeps in quick succession and the red LED starts to blink. Alkaline Batteries Despite all care taken in the choice of batteries, it can happen that unforeseeable storage may have weakened their performance. If the batteries are weak, three very quick “bleeps” will sound every 45 seconds or so until the batteries have been changed. The batteries are guaranteed to last 2 years in normal use (that is, without excessive triggering of the alarm). When replacing them, always use batteries of exactly the same characteristics and power. So as not to pollute the environment, return dead batteries to a proper reprocessing centre (waste collection site, recycling point). In any case, the end of the plunger tube must still be more than 14 cm beneathDecember 2016 Alarm for swimming pool GRE by VisioPool® - Instruction manual- User Manual Page 11 Operation (use the table of controls given on the last page of this document). Under normal operation, it is imperative to remove the key. So that people can swim in the pool, the VISIOPOOL® alarm must be in “swimming” mode, with the red LED blinking. If the green LED is blinking, you can switch the alarm to “swimming” mode by placing the magnet on its emplacement. A “bleep” indicates the changing of mode. After swimming, the VISIOPOOL® alarm automatically returns to “surveillance” mode if the water remains still for at least 2 minutes. This automatic return to surveillance mode is indicated by multiple series of “bleeps”. Note that these must be two consecutive minutes of still water. All things considered, the automatic activation of surveillance mode can sometimes take up to 15 minutes. During this time, you must ensure heightened human vigilance. It is possible to prompt a quicker return to “surveillance” mode by placing the magnet on its emplacement for a few seconds. If the pool water is still moving too much, the alarm could refuse to be forced to return to “surveillance” mode. Some counter-current systems prevent the automatic reactivation of the immersion detection system. If the siren goes o , take immediate action when the incident happens. You can turn o the sound of the siren by placing the magnet on the magnetic area or by switching the alarm o with the key. By default, the siren will sound continuously for 2 minutes, then intermittently for another 3 minutes, and then the alarm will return automatically to swimming mode. When your pool is too disturbed, the alarm give two short sounds, then every 45 seconds there is one “bleep” and LEDs blink 3 times simultaneously. The alarm goes automatically into swimming mode. You can stop the “bleep” by placing the magnet on the magnetic zone. To get the best satisfaction out of your alarm, familiarize yourself with the start/stop controls.Page 12 Alarm for swimming pool GRE by VisioPool® - Instruction manual- User Manual December 2016 Complete stop* If you wish to stop your Gre By VISIOPOOL® alarm, despite the risk of interrupting the surveillance, turn the key to the OFF position and remove it from the keyhole. Keep it in a safe place that is easy to remember (on a hook in your pool house, for example). If the alarm is to be deactivated for an extended period, you are advised to remove the batteries and store them in a cool, dry place. To restart your Gre By VISIOPOOL® alarm, proceed from point 1 of these instructions. If you have any problems, get in touch with your vendor immediately, or ACIS. *Attention : in accordance with regulation 2003-9 on pool safety, we remind you that this device “must be installed and fastened permanently, all year round”. In the event of drowning while your Gre By VISIOPOOL® is at a complete stop for whatever reason, neither your vendor nor the manufacturer can be held liable for the accident. Warnings: FROST – Beware: Your Gre By VISIOPOOL® system will not function if there is water frost inside the sensor, or if the surface of the pool water is frozen. In case of doubt as to the solid or liquid state of the water inside the tube, carry out a functional alarm test. COMPETENCE FOR INTERVENTIONS – With regard to servicing and maintenance of this appliance, the only intervention the user is authorized to perform is change the batteries. For any other intervention, contact your vendor or ACIS. CHECKS – Verify the proper function of your Gre By VISIOPOOL® regularly by carrying out the triggering tests described in the instructions. Note the results of these tests on the designated sheet in these instructions. In the case of malfunction, protect your pool against access, immediately inform your vendor, or ACIS if preferred, and have the repair procedure initiated. A test sheet is provided on page 16 of these instructions.December 2016 Alarm for swimming pool GRE by VisioPool® - Instruction manual- User Manual Page 13 Additional Information Legal Information : Law No. 2003-9 and the decree on its enforcement No. 2003 1389 were passed in order to counteract the rising number of accidents and drowning in private swimming pools for private or collective use. These bills stipulate the following : As of 1st January 2004, every new, private, open, in-ground swimming pool for private or collective use must be equipped with a standardized safety device. As of this date, the manufacturer or installer of such a swimming pool must supply the owner with a technical sheet indicating the required device. In the case of permanent or temporary transferal of ownership of the Gre By VISIOPOOL® alarm, ensuring that the new user is in possession of all documents that came with the appliance at the time of initial installation, including the original packaging, is required. The owners of open in-ground pools for private or collective use installed before 1st January 2004 must have equipped their pool with a standardized safety device by 1st January 2006. In the case of seasonal rental of the residence, a standardized safety device must be installed before 1st May 2004. It is essential to insist on active supervision by parents. Information Concerning the Gre By VISIOPOOL® Alarm The Gre By VISIOPOOL® alarm system is not a substitute for common sense or for individual responsibility. It is also not intended as a substitute for supervision by parents and/or responsible adults, who are still the essential factor for the protection of children (most notably those under 5 years of age). The Gre By VISIOPOOL® device is an alarm system for open in-ground swimming pools for private or collective use that indicates a danger (or risk of danger). The rapid intervention (in under 3 minutes) of a responsible adult is obligatory when the alarm is set o. The device is made to be installed in pools of 12 x 5 m maximum in size (range : 7 meters). Beyond that, we recommend equipping the pool with additional protective measures compliant to the French standard NF P90-307/A1. The user who turns o the alarm signal must be aware that human supervision must take over. It is imperative to respond when the signal sounds. The greatest vigilance of a parent or responsible adult is required in the interval between the end of swimming and reactivation of “surveillance” mode. In order to reduce the latent period, this mode can also be activated by applying thePage 14 Alarm for swimming pool GRE by VisioPool® - Instruction manual- User Manual December 2016 magnet to the magnetic point. Switch o the counter-current mechanism when nished swimming in order to be able to reactivate “surveillance” mode. In no case may your vendor or the manufacturer of the Gre By VISIOPOOL® alarm be held liable for the drowning of a child, a dependent person, any adult or any animal. The installation of an alarm system must not lessen your vigilance or substitute for active supervision of the pool and its surroundings in any case. This alarm system, as with any other safety device or equipment, is an additional tool that must be used in the case of momentary absence of surveillance. Safety Advice : 1 – Supervise and act !

  • The surveillance of children must be close and constant.
  • Designate one person as responsible for safety.
