Frequently Asked Questions - 39376 Lindy

What maximum resolution does the Lindy 39376 extender support?
It supports up to 3840x2160 @60Hz in 4:4:4 8bit and 2560x1440 @144Hz in RGB.
What is the maximum transmission distance with this extender?
Up to 300 meters (984 feet) with Duplex LC OM3 fiber (50/125μm).
Why is there no image on the screen?
Check that the power supply is plugged in, that the fiber optic is correctly crossed (transmitter OUT to receiver IN and vice versa), that the DisplayPort cables are in good condition and do not exceed 1 meter in length. Reduce the length if necessary.
Can I connect a USB flash drive or webcam to the extender?
No, only USB HID devices (keyboard, mouse) are supported. Storage devices or webcams will not work.
How do I know if the optical link is active?
The « Power / Connection » LED on the transmitter and receiver indicates the status of the power supply and optical connection. If it is solidly lit, the link is established.
What to do if the keyboard or mouse do not respond?
Make sure that the transmitter's Mini-B USB cable is properly connected to the PC (port labeled « USB HID HOST »). Check that the devices are plugged into the receiver's USB ports. The « USB Status » LED blinks once per detected device.
What type of power supply is provided?
A 5VDC 2A power adapter with interchangeable plugs for EU, UK, US, and Australia. It connects via a Mini-USB cable to the transmitter or receiver.
Is the extender compatible with HDCP?
Yes, it supports HDCP 1.3, which allows playback of protected content (e.g., Blu-ray) provided the source and display are compatible.
Can I use single-mode fiber instead of multi-mode?
No, the provided SFP modules are designed for multi-mode Duplex OM3 fiber. Using single-mode fiber would require appropriate SFP modules, not included.
How do I reset the extender in case of problems?
Turn off all devices, then turn them back on in this order: first the extender, then the display, finally the source. If the problem persists, check the video configuration in the PC BIOS.

Troubleshooting

There is no display on the screen.

It has been found that there are significant differences in the cable lengths/types and even input ports which can be used on different brands of display using DisplayPort resolutions. If problems are experienced, please apply the following steps:

Try a different input port on the display.
- Please ensure the display's input source is set to DP.
- Reduce the cable length on the Input and Output to 1m .
Try a different type of 1m DisplayPort Cable.
- Check that the Micro-USB and plug used by the external power supply is firmly connected.
- Check that the fibre optic cable and modules are connected correctly.
Power off all the devices, then power on in this order: first, the extender, then the display and finally the source.
- Check the PC BIOS configuration for the video output settings
- Try to connect the PC and display with a direct connection to ensure the video signal is present. Lindy regularly checks and tests our product range to ensure maximum compatibility and performance.
