How to install the secuENTRY 5670 Bridge?

Connect the bridge to a USB 5V/1A power supply using the provided USB-C cable. Place it less than 2 meters from your lock. The green LED should blink every 2 seconds. Download the secuENTRY KeyApp, create a Burg-Wächter cloud account, then add the bridge by scanning the QR code and entering your Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz network password.

What to do if the LED does not light up?

Ensure the power supply provides 5V and at least 1A. If the LED still does not light up, press the reset button with a pointed object for 5 seconds until it blinks. If nothing happens, check the USB cable and power supply.

How to update the firmware?

Unplug the USB cable, wait 10 seconds. Hold the reset button while reconnecting the cable until both LEDs blink. Open the KeyApp, go to Menu > Firmware update, select secuENTRY 5670 BRIDGE, scan the QR code, then press START. Do not unplug during the update.

What to do if I lost the QR code?

The QR code is required for firmware updates. If lost, note that it is no longer possible to update the bridge. We recommend keeping the QR code in a safe place, for example by scanning it and saving a photo or electronic file. Contact Burg Wächter customer service for assistance.

How to reset the device to factory settings?

Use a pointed object to press the reset button on the bridge. Hold it for 5 seconds until the green LED blinks. This puts the device into learning mode; you will need to reconfigure it via the KeyApp.

Why is the red LED on?

The red LED indicates that the bridge is connected to your Wi-Fi network but has no Internet access. Check your Internet connection (modem, router). If the issue persists, restart the bridge by unplugging and replugging it.

The app cannot find the bridge, what to do?

Make sure your smartphone and the bridge are on the same 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network (not 5 GHz). Check that the bridge is in learning mode (green LED blinking). If necessary, reset it with the reset button. In the app, go to Menu > SecuENTRY Bridge > + to add a gateway.

Can I use a different power supply than the recommended one?

The power supply must provide 5V and at least 1A via a USB-C connector. Using a power supply that does not meet these specifications can damage the device or cause malfunctions. We recommend using a suitable power adapter (not included) that meets these characteristics.

How to delete and re-add the device in the app?

In the KeyApp, go to the device list, select the relevant bridge and delete it. Then press the reset button on the bridge until the green LED blinks. Then follow the initial addition procedure: press the + in the app, name the gateway, enter the Wi-Fi password and configure.

What to do in case of persistent problem?

Disconnect the bridge power by unplugging the USB cable. Wait 5 seconds, then reconnect. If the problem persists, delete the device from the KeyApp and add it again (see chapter 5.4.2 of the app manual). If this does not resolve the issue, contact the dealer with proof of purchase and the QR code.

The secuENTRY 5670 BRIDGE gives you the ability to manage secuENTRY cylinders from afar using the secuENTRY KeyApp* combined with an internet connection. This includes transmitting configuration files, remote opening and creating temporary access codes.

QR code

Each secuENTRY 5670 BRIDGE has an enclosed QR code. This QR code is needed for perform firmware updates.

Attention! If the QR code is lost, a firmware update of the secuENTRY 5670 BRIDGE is no longer possible. Please take care to save the QR code!

Tip: The QR code can also be scanned in electronic form or saved as a photo on a secured data carrier.

Initial setup

Connect the secuENTRY 5670 BRIDGE to a 5V USB power adapter (not included) using the enclosed 2m USB type C to type A cable; the power adapter should supply a minimum of 1A to run the device.

1. Place the device no more than two meters away from your lock.
2. Plug the power adapter into the socket.

3. The green LED on the secuENTRY 5670 BRIDGE will flash every two seconds.

4. If this does not happen, use a thin object to hold the reset button for five seconds until the green LED flashes.

5. The flashing signifies that the device is in learning mode.

First, you need to download the secuENTRY KeyApp and create a Burg-Wächter Bridge Cloud account (please see the KeyApp instructions in sections 1 and 2 for more information on this).

1. Open the App Store on your smartphone and search for "secuENTRY KeyApp" to download the app.
2. Open the App and register. Select the option to create a Cloud account.
3. Choose "No account yet? Create one."
4. Enter a password and click "GET VERIFICATION CODE."
5. You will receive an e-mail with the code at the e-mail address you entered.
6. Enter this code into the app and press "REGISTER."

Now you can add your device to the KeyApp.

1. Press the back button.
2. Press the menu button and select "secuENTRY Bridge."
3. Press "secuENTRY Bridge and Assignment."
4. Add a Bridge by pressing the "+" button.
5. Enter the name of the Bridge and the password for your WLAN network.

Attention: your smartphone and your Bridge must be located in the same 2.4GHz network!

1. Press "CONFIGURATION."

Now your Bridge will connect to your WLAN network and your Burg-Wächter Bridge Cloud account. The various features of the secuENTRY 5670 BRIDGE are explained in detail in the KeyApp instructions.

Firmware update via Bluetooth

Firmware updates can only be installed via Bluetooth at this time.

To install an update, proceed through the following steps:

1. Unplug the device's USB cable and wait ten seconds.
2. Use a thin object to press the reset button and plug the USB cable back in.
3. Hold down the reset button until both LEDs flash simultaneously.
4. ThesecuENTRY 5670 BRIDGE is now ready to receive firmware updates for the next two minutes.

Now open the KeyApp on your smartphone.

1. Press the menu button and select "firmware update."
2. Choose the "secuENTRY 5670 Bridge" product series.
3. Choose the "secuENTRY 5670 Bridge" product.
4. Select the newest firmware update.
5. Scan your device's QR code (Type: KEYPAD_FP is displayed).
6. Press "OK" and then press the "START" button.

The firmware update will now be installed. Do not disconnect the device from power while the LEDs are still flashing. If only the green LED is lit, the firmware update has successfully completed; however, if the red LED lights up for three seconds, this means the firmware update has failed.

FAQ and repeated setup

No LEDs on the device light up:

If your device is switched on after the initial setup and neither the green nor red LEDs are lighting up, this means there is no connection to the WLAN network.

The red LED on the device lights up:

If the red LED is lit, this means your device is connected to your WLAN network, but is not connected to the internet.

The device does not function properly:

If this happens, switch off your device by unplugging the USB cable. Wait five seconds and then switch the device back on. If this does not help, remove your device from the KeyApp by swiping the name of your device to the left, and add it again (see KeyApp instructions, section 5.4.2).

Warranty

In order to provide you with a flawless and high-quality product and to help you in the event of service or repair, it is necessary that faulty or defective devices be presented to your dealer with the original proof of purchase and the QR code.
