1. Before you use this product

  • Please make sure you read the instruction manual carefully.
  • Following and respecting the instructions in your manual will prevent damage to your instrument and loss of your statutory rights arising from defects due to incorrect use.

3. Range of application and all the benefits of your new instru-

  • This product is exclusively intended for the range of application described above. It should only be used as described within these instructions. Digital bath thermometer
  • Unauthorized repairs, alterations or changes to the product are prohibited.
  • Do not use the device if it seems to be damaged.
  • This product may only be used in water when it is fully assem- bled. Caution! Risk of injury:
  • Always check the water temperature with the back of your hand before putting a child into a bath.
  • This product is not a toy. Use under parental supervision.
  • Keep this instrument and the batteries out of reach of children.
  • Batteries / button cells may be hazardous if swallowed. If a bat- tery / button cell is swallowed, this can lead to serious internal burns and death within two hours. If you suspect a battery could have been swallowed or otherwise caught in the body, seek medical help immediately.
  • Batteries must not be thrown into a fire, short-circuited or taken apart. Non-rechargeable batteries must not be recharged. Risk of explosion!
  • Rechargeable batteries must be removed from the device before charging and may only be charged under adult supervi- sion.
  • Batteries contain harmful acids. Low batteries should be changed as soon as possible to prevent damage caused by leaking. Empty batteries must be removed from the device immediately.
  • Never use a combination of old and new batteries together, nor batteries of different types. Wear chemical-resistant protective gloves and safety glasses when handling leaking batteries.
  • Keep new and used batteries out of the reach of children.
  • Avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes when handling leaking batteries. In case of contact, immediately rinse the affected areas with water and consult a doctor. Important information on product safety!
  • Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, vibrations or shocks.
  • Make sure the polarities are correct.
  • The temperature appears on the display.
  • The device will turn off automatically after approx. 30 minutes. Digital bath thermometer
  • Press and hold the ON/SET button for 2 seconds. 39 °C (default) appears on the display and HOT flashes. You can choose the upper temperature limit (37 °C, 38 °C, 39 °C or 40 °C) with the + button.
  • Confirm the setting with the ON/SET button.
  • The lower temperature limit is factory set to 30 °C.
  • If the water temperature rises above the set upper temperature limit, HOT appears on the display and the LED signal light flashes red.
  • If the water temperature drops below 30 °C, COOL appears on the display and the LED signal light flashes green.
  • The LED signal light continues to flash until the measured tem- perature is within the alarm limits again.

8. Temperature unit setting

  • Press the °C/°F button and you can change between Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F) as temperature unit.

9. Care and maintenance

  • Clean the device with a soft damp cloth. Do not use solvents or scouring agents.
  • Remove the batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period of time.

9.1 Battery replacement

  • Change the batteries when the display becomes weak.
  • To open and close the battery compartment, the release button must be pressed down firmly with a pointed object.
  • Close the battery compartment by turning the lid to the right (in the arrow direction CLOSE).
  • The lid is correctly closed when the release button is locked in place.
  • Note: The instrument must be switched off before changing the batteries.
  • Attention: Close the battery compartment carefully, so that no water can get in. Pay attention to the sealing ring.
