How to turn on the Ducky 30.2031.07 thermometer?

To turn on the thermometer, place it in water or press any key. The temperature appears on the screen.

What is the temperature measuring range?

The measuring range is from 0 °C to 50 °C (32 °F to 122 °F).

How to set the temperature alarm?

Press the ON/SET key for two seconds. The default value 39 °C flashes. Use the + key to choose between 37 °C, 38 °C, 39 °C or 40 °C, then confirm with ON/SET. The low threshold is factory set at 30 °C and cannot be changed.

How to change the unit from °C to °F?

Press the °C/°F key to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.

What does the red LED indicator mean?

The flashing red LED indicates that the water temperature is too high (above the set threshold). It flashes until the temperature returns to the comfort zone.

What does the green LED indicator mean?

The flashing green LED indicates that the water temperature is too low (below 30 °C). It stops flashing when the temperature rises.

How to replace the batteries?

Press firmly on the unlock button with a pointed object. Turn the lid to the left (OPEN arrow) using a coin. Insert two LR44 batteries with the + polarity facing up. Close by turning to the right (CLOSE arrow) until the button clicks.

What to do if the display is dim or missing?

Check the battery polarity (the + must be facing up). If the display remains dim, replace the batteries. If the problem persists, contact the seller.

Is the thermometer waterproof?

Yes, it is designed to be used in water when fully assembled. It also floats on water.

How to clean the device?

Use a soft, damp cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasive products.

• This product is not a toy. Use under parental supervision.
- Keep this instrument and the batteries out of reach of children.
- Batteries / button cells may be hazardous if swallowed. If a battery / button cell is swallowed, this can lead to serious internal burns and death within two hours. If you suspect a battery could have been swallowed or otherwise caught in the body, seek medical help immediately.
- Batteries must not be thrown into a fire, short-circuited or taken apart. Non-rechargeable batteries must not be recharged. Risk of explosion!
- Rechargeable batteries must be removed from the device before charging and may only be charged under adult supervision.
- Batteries contain harmful acids. Low batteries should be changed as soon as possible to prevent damage caused by leaking. Empty batteries must be removed from the device immediately.
- Never use a combination of old and new batteries together, nor batteries of different types. Wear chemical-resistant protective gloves and safety glasses when handling leaking batteries.
- Dispose of used batteries immediately.

6. Getting started

• Place the duck in the water or press any button.
  • The temperature appears on the display.
• The device will turn off automatically after approx. 30 minutes.

7. Temperature alarm

• Press and hold the ON/SET button for 2 seconds. 39 °C (default) appears on the display and HOT flashes. You can choose the upper temperature limit (37 °C, 38 °C, 39 °C or 40 °C) with the + button.
• Confirm the setting with the ON/SET button.
• The lower temperature limit is factory set to 30^ .
• If the water temperature rises above the set upper temperature limit, HOT appears on the display and the LED signal light flashes red.
• If the water temperature drops below 30^ , COOL appears on the display and the LED signal light flashes green.
• The LED signal light continues to flash until the measured temperature is within the alarm limits again.

8. Temperature unit setting

- Press the °C/°F button and you can change between Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F) as temperature unit.

9. Care and maintenance

• Clean the device with a soft damp cloth. Do not use solvents or scouring agents.
• Remove the batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period of time.

9.1 Battery replacement

• Change the batteries when the display becomes weak.
• To open and close the battery compartment, the release button must be pressed down firmly with a pointed object.
• Open the battery compartment by turning the lid to the left (in the arrow direction OPEN) using a coin and insert two new LR44 batteries (+pole above).

• Close the battery compartment by turning the lid to the right (in the arrow direction CLOSE).
• The lid is correctly closed when the release button is locked in place.
• Note: The instrument must be switched off before changing the batteries.
• Attention: Close the battery compartment carefully, so that no water can get in. Pay attention to the sealing ring.
