IMPORTANT SAFETY MEASURES

BEFORE USING THE GRILL FOR THE FIRST TIME NOTE: When you use the grill for the first time you will notice that the appliance gives off a slight smoke. This is due to the heating of the new parts and components and does not pose a risk to your health. Remove all packaging from the grill before using it for the first time. Check that the grates are free of dust. Clean the surface of the grates with a damp cloth and dry them with a dry cloth, kitchen paper, etc. Place the grill on a level surface. Remove the storage pin to make the upper and lower grills open and close. Grills must be closed to allow preheating. NOTE : ONLY for the first time use add a thin layer of oil, butter or margarine to the grates and rub with kitchen paper. Be careful as the grates will be hot.

HOW TO USE THE GRILL

Select the desired level on the thermostat button. Close the grill and plug it into the power supply, the red light (power) will come on, indicating that the grill is heating up. It will take about 5 minutes to reach the desired temperature, when this happens the green light (ready) will turn on. Open the grill, place the sandwich, snack, meat or other type of food on the bottom plate. Close the grill, the green light will turn off. You can adjust the height of the top plate using the angle adjustment button. Once the grill is open, select the height between “LOW and HIGH” in this way you can prevent the top plate from touching the food or putting pressure on it. Cook for 3 to 8 minutes, until the green light comes back on, until the bread is golden brown, or adjust the time to your personal taste. When the food is ready, open the grill by the handle to avoid touching the hot surface. Remove the food with a plastic or wooden spatula. Never use metal utensils or knives, as these could damage the non- stick coating of the grill plates. When you are done cooking, unplug the grill and leave it open to cool.

USING THE OPEN GRILL

Place the grill on a clean, flat surface. The grill can be opened 180º, slide the tab on the side of the handle to the “OPEN 180º” position when you have opened the grill about 90º, this way you can open it to 180º and you will have a larger surface for cooking.GR 3800

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Always unplug the grill and allow it to cool before cleaning. The appliance is easier to clean when it is slightly warm (not burning). It is not necessary to disassemble the grill for cleaning. Never immerse the grill in water or put it in the dishwasher. Wipe the grill plates with a soft cloth to remove food residue. When residue is stuck, pour some hot water over it and remove it with a plastic spatula. Do not use abrasive products or utensils that may scratch and damage the non-stick coating of the plates. Clean the outside of the grill with a damp cloth only. Do not immerse in water or other liquid. Remove and empty the grease collection bucket after each use and clean it in hot water with detergent. Rinse and dry it before using again. STORAGE Always unplug the grill before storing it.
