IMPORTANT SAFETY MEASURES

1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or appropriate training concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
2. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with this appliance.
3. Keep the appliance and its cord out of the reach of children under 8 years of age.

BRIEF INTRODUCTION ABOUT YOUR GRILL

With just a little imagination, you can prepare a wide variety of appetizers, snacks, meals, all kinds of toasts and melted goods quickly and easily.

BEFORE USING THE GRILL FOR THE FIRST TIME

NOTE: When you use the grill for the first time you will notice that the appliance gives off a slight smoke. This is due to the heating of the new parts and components and does not pose a risk to your health.

• Remove all packaging from the grill before using it for the first time.
• Check that the grates are free of dust. Clean the surface of the grates with a damp cloth and dry them with a dry cloth, kitchen paper, etc.
• Place the grill on a level surface.
• Grills must be closed to allow preheating.

NOTE : ONLY for the first time use add a thin layer of oil, butter or margarine to the grates and rub with kitchen paper. Be careful as the grates will be hot.

HOW TO USE THE GRILL

• Close the grill and plug it into the power supply, the red light (power) and the green light (ready) will come on, indicating that the grill is heating up.
• It will take about 5 minutes to reach the desired temperature, when this happens the green light (ready) will turn off.
• Open the grill, place the sandwich, snack, meat or other type of food on the bottom plate.
• Close the grill, the green light will turn on.
• Cook for 3 to 8 minutes, until the green light goes out again, until the bread is golden brown, or adjust the time to your personal taste.
• When the food is ready, open the grill by the handle to avoid touching the hot surface. Remove the food with a plastic or wooden spatula. Never use metal utensils or knives, as these could damage the non-stick coating of the grill plates.
• When you are done cooking, unplug the grill and leave it open to cool.

USING THE OPEN GRILL

• Place the grill on a clean, flat surface. The grill can be opened 180°, press the button on the side when you have opened the grill about 90°, this way you can open it up to 180° and you will have a larger surface for cooking.
• Use the grill in this position to cook burgers, steaks, chicken fillets (bone-in chicken pieces are not recommended as they will not cook thoroughly), fish and vegetables.
• This allows you to cook two types of food without mixing their flavours, by putting each one on the same plate. It also allows you to prepare different cuts of meat with different thicknesses, allowing you to cook each one for the necessary time.
• To make food healthier, the grill allows the fat to fall by tilting into the grease collector located at the back of the grill.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Always unplug the grill and allow it to cool before cleaning. The appliance is easier to clean when it is slightly warm (not burning). It is not necessary to disassemble the grill for cleaning. Never immerse the grill in water or put it in the dishwasher.
• Wipe the grill plates with a soft cloth to remove food residue. When residue is stuck, pour some hot water over it and remove it with a plastic spatula.
• Do not use abrasive products or utensils that may scratch and damage the non-stick coating of the plates.
• Clean the outside of the grill with a damp cloth only. Do not immerse in water or other liquid.
• Remove and empty the grease collection bucket after each use and clean it in hot water with detergent. Rinse and dry it before using again.

STORAGE

• Always unplug the grill before storing it.
• Always make sure the grill is cool and dry before storing.
