Frequently Asked Questions - Mirage Cadet 59300 Vollrath

What types of pots can I use with the Mirage Cadet 59300 cooktop?
Use pots with a flat bottom with a diameter between 12 and 26 cm, made of ferrous stainless steel, iron, or cast iron. Pots made of aluminum, copper, glass, or ceramic are not compatible.
What should I do if the cooktop does not heat up when turned on?
Check that the pot is induction compatible and that its diameter is sufficient. If the display flashes, the pot is probably too small or unsuitable.
How to clean the cooking surface?
Let the cooktop cool down, then wipe it with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive products or scouring pads to avoid damaging the ceramic glass.
What do error codes F5 or F6 mean?
These codes indicate that the overheat protection is activated. Let the appliance cool down, then press the On/Off button to restart.
Can I use an extension cord?
No, the appliance requires a dedicated circuit and must be plugged directly into a grounded outlet. Extension cords, power strips, and surge protectors are prohibited.
How to set the timer?
Press the Timer button, use the up/down arrows to set the time in one-minute intervals. At the end, three beeps sound and the cooktop turns off.
The cooktop automatically shuts off after 10 minutes, is this normal?
Yes, it is a safety feature. If no pot is detected or if the pot is not suitable, the cooktop shuts off after 10 minutes.
Can I use the induction cooktop with aluminum pots?
No, aluminum pots, even with a metal disc at the bottom, are incompatible and can damage the appliance. Use only ferrous materials.
What is the safety distance around the appliance?
The rear of the cooktop must be at least 10 cm from any adjacent surface, and the underneath at least 2 cm to ensure proper air circulation.
Where can I find spare parts?
Spare parts are available on the Vollrath.com website. For any repairs, contact Vollrath technical support.
