How do I replace the lamp of the Cubus 253 projector?

Turn off the device and let it cool completely. Open the top cover (figure 4). Open the condenser lens bracket (figure 5) and remove the old lamp. Insert the new lamp without touching the glass with your fingers (use a clean cloth). Then close the cover.

Which supply voltage should I use?

Select 220V if the local voltage is between 200 and 230V. If the voltage exceeds 230V, choose 240V to extend lamp life. The K2 switch is located inside the safety base.

How do I clean the projector lenses?

For the reflecting lens, first blow off dust, then gently brush with absorbent cotton. For the objective mirror, use absorbent cotton soaked in a mixture of alcohol and ether. Never use abrasive paper or cloth.

What should I do if the cooling fan does not work?

If the fan does not rotate or the air flow is obstructed, turn off the device immediately to avoid overheating. Check that the ventilation grilles are not blocked. If the problem persists, contact a qualified technician.

How do I use the hi/lo switch?

The hi/lo switch allows you to choose between high (hi) or low (lo) light intensity. Use the low position to save the lamp or in low ambient light.

Can I replace the lamp myself?

Yes, lamp replacement is user-accessible. Follow the instructions in the manual: let cool, open the cover, replace the lamp without touching the glass. For any other repair, call a qualified technician.

The projector does not turn on, what should I check?

Ensure the power cord is properly connected and the selected voltage matches your mains. Check that the top cover is properly closed (safety switch). If the lamp is burned out, replace it.

What is the size of the work stage?

The work stage measures 285 x 285 mm, suitable for standard transparency sheets.

How do I adjust the projection angle?

The mirror can be tilted up to 60° and the projector can rotate 360°. Use the locking screw to secure the desired position.

Should I turn it off immediately after use?

No, to avoid overheating, set the switch to the standby position for 3 to 5 minutes so the fan cools the device. Then turn it off completely.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using your overhead projector, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

1. Read the following instructions carefully before operating the overhead projector.
2. Make sure that the operating voltage of the overhead projector corresponds to your local voltage.
3. Care must be taken to ensure the smooth airflow of the cooling system. Take care that the Projector is placed on a sturdy, flat surface. Immediately switch off the machine if the cooler is not functioning properly.
4. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble this appliance, but take it to a qualified technician when service or repair work is required. Incorrect reassembling can cause electric shock when the appliance is used subsequently.
5. Tilt up the projection mirror before switching on the overhead projector.
6. Always unplug appliance from electric outlet before opening the cover for cleaning, servicing, lamp changing and when not in use. Never tear cord to pull plug from outlet. Grasp plug and pull to disconnect.
7. Let appliances cool completely before replacing the lamp. Attention! Care must be taken as burns can occur from touching hot parts!
8. To avoid the potential electrical shock, do not expose this overhead projector to rain, moisture, or other liquids.
9. Let overhead projector cool completely before putting away.
10. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
11. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. Do not leave appliance unattended while in use.

A Safety Interlock is located on the edge of the cabinet. When the platen of the overhead projector is opened, the power supply will cut off. Please make sure the appliances is unplugged during repair to avoid electric stock

OPERATION PROCEDURE

1. Adjust the post to the vertical position as Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, it will self-lock tightly.
   Note: Before switch on the machine, please measure the local voltage to select the input voltage, we suggest select 220v when the voltage is on alternating current 200V-230V. When the voltage > 230V, should choice 240V in order to enhance the lamp's working time.
   Connect the power supply and switch on the “on/off” switch, the machine will start working immediately.

1. Lamp changing: Attention! Hot parts! Do not exchange lamp until the projector has cooled down!

Pull out mains plug before opening the projector.

Press the platen housing lock lever an pull out faulty lamp, push new one straight into the socket right to the stop (Fig. 5). Close down cover.

1. When lamp and fan simultaneously fail to operate, exchange the fuse (located below the connector socket for the mains cable)

Allow only a trained specialist to open the projector, since high-tension parts may become freely accessible.

1. Cleaning optical parts:

Press button to release cover. Attention: Use only a soft cloth. This also applies to the cleaning of the lens.

Note: Take care when replacing the Fresnel lens to ensure that the label UP points towards the lens.

1. Let appliance cool completely before putting away or when replacing the lamp.
