When passing this product on to others, please also include all the documents! The light alarm clock is only suited for use with the included power adaptor (model no. CZH024050300EUWH).
CHILDREN! Never leave children unattended w ith the packaging material. The packaging material represents a danger of suffocation. Children frequently underestimate the dangers.40 GB/IE This product may be used by children age 8 years and up, as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, or lacking experience and / or knowledge, so long as they are supervised or instructed in the safe use of the prod- uct and understand the associated risks. Do not allow children to play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children without supervision. Before using the product, verify the available mains voltage corresponds with the operating voltage required for the power adaptor (100–240 V∼ 50 / 60 Hz)! Before using the product, verify the light alarm clock and the power adaptor and the cable connection aren‘t damaged! Never operate a damaged product! The power adaptor must be plugged into an easily accessib
socket so it can easily be unplugged in the event of an emer- gency. This product does not contain any parts that can be serviced by the user. The bulbs cannot be replaced. Do not place open fire (e.g. candle) on the product. The product is only suited for use with the included power adaptor (CZH024050300EUWH). Please note that the power adaptor continues to draw a small amount of power even if the product is turned off as long as the power adaptor is plugged into a power outlet. To switch the product off completely, unplug the power adaptor from the socket.41 GB/IE Safety instructions for batteries / rechargeable batteries DANGER TO LIFE! Keep batteries / rechargeable batteries out of reach of children. If accidentally swallowed seek im- mediate medical attention. DANGER OF EXPLOSION! Never recharge non- rechargeable batteries. Do not short-circuit batter- ies / rechargeable batteries and / or open them. Overheating, fire or bursting can be the result. Never throw batteries / rechargeable batteries into fire or water. Do not exert mechanical loads to batteries / rechargeable batteries. Risk of leakage of batteries / rechargeable batteries Avoid extreme environmental conditions and temperatures, which could affect batteries / rechargeable batteries, e.g. radiators / direct sunlight. If batteries / rechargeable batteries have leaked, avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes with the chemicals! Flush immediately the affected areas with fresh water and seek medical attention! WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES! Leaked or damaged batteries / rechargeable batteries can cause burns on contact with the skin. Wear suitable protective gloves at all times if such an event occurs. In the event of a leakage of batteries / rechargeable batteries, immediately remove them from the product to prevent damage.42 GB/IE Only use the same type of batteries / rechargeable batteries. Do not mix used and new batteries / rechargeable batteries. Remove batteries / rechargeable batteries if the product will not be used for a longer period. Risk of damage of the product Only use the specified type of battery / rechargeable battery! Insert batteries / rechargeable batteries according to polarity marks (+) and (-) on the battery / rechargeable battery and the product. Clean the contacts on the battery / rechargeable battery and in the battery compartment before inserting! Remove exhausted batteries / rechargeable batteries from the product immediately. Notes for coin / button cell batteries CHEMICAL BURN HAZARD! Do not ingest the battery. This product contains a coin / button cell battery. If the coin / button battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns in just 2 hours and can lead to death. Keep new and used batteries away from children. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children. If you think battery might have been swallowed or placed in- side any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.43 GB/IE Before use Note: Remove all packing materials before use. Note: Remove protection foil on light field
and anti-slip surface on the bottom before use. Note: Unplugged from the mains the light alarm clock only has two emergency functions (clock and electronic alarm signal). An electric connection is therefore required prior to use. First remove the protective film from the LC-display

on the rear side of the light alarm clock. Remove this pl astic strip to utilise the inserted battery. Plug the DC plug

of the light alarm clock. Then plug the power adaptor
into an easy to access socket. Setting up the product CAUTION! When choosing a position for the product, make sure that it is not exposed to direct sunlight, vibrations, heat, cold damp or dust. Do not install the product close to heat sources, e.g. radiators. There is otherwise a danger that the product will be damaged. Place the product on a flat, level surface. Do not place the product on valuable or sensitive surfaces with- out suitable protection. The surfaces may otherwise be damaged.44 GB/IE Your light alarm clock is now in clock mode. The clock starts at 00:00. Radio time signal (DCF): The DCF-radio signal (time signal transmitter) is made up of time pulses transmitted from one of the highest precision clocks in the world close to Frankfurt / Main in Germany. The time code signal can be received upto 1.500 km from Frank- furt / Main. Reception of the DCF radio signal generally takes approx. 3–10 minutes. If it does not work properly, restart the DCF radio signal re- ception process. To do this, keep the “+” button
pressed for approx. 2 seconds. Reception can be considerably impaired by obstacles (e.g. concre
walls) or sources of interference (e.g. other electrical devices). In the event of reception problems, change the position of the produ
(e.g. to somewhere near a window). Operation Reception of DCF radio signal The product automatically starts to search for the DCF radio signal after 3 minutes when the product is activated or reset. The radio control clock function display

at 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00. It is also possible to start reception of the DCF radio signal manually on the product. Press and hold the “+” button
for approx. 2 seconds. The product attempts to receive the DCF radio time signal. This process takes several minutes and is indicated in the LC dis- play
by a flashing radio symbol. To stop receive DCF radio time signal, press and hold the “–” button
for approx. 2 seconds. Note: When either light function, radio, alarm is activating, automatic radio time receive function will be skipped. You can receive the DCF radio time signal manual. Press and hold the “+” button
for approx. 2 seconds. The product attempts to receive the DCF radio time signal. Note: If the product cannot pick up the DCF radio signal on ac- count of an error, it is also possible to set the time manually. As so
as reception of the DCF signal is successful, the manual settings are overwritten. Time zone Note: Should you be in a country in which the DCF signal can be received but the time is different to your current local time, you46 GB/IE can use the time zone setting to have the product display your current local time. If you find yourself in a country in which, for example, the local time is an hour ahead of Central European Time (CET), you set the time zone to +01. The product is now still controlled by DCF but shows the time as one hour ahead of CET. Displaying summertime (DST) Summertime is automatically indicated on the LC-Display
. The product receives the information as to whether it is summertime or not from the DCF radio signal. Turn on / off the automatic radio time receive function If the reception of the DCF radio signal continues to be inter rupted, you can turn on / off the automatic radio time receive function manually. Press and hold down the “+” button
for about 2 seconds.

. Choose from the settings OFF, LO, ME and HI. Adjusting the time In clock mode, press the “Clock” button
for approx. 3 seconds to enter setup mode. Press the “+” button
to change the respective flashing value. TIP: Holding the “+”
will rapidly scan forward or backward through the numbers. When no button is pressed for 30 seconds, the light alarm clock with automatically return to clock mode. Briefly press the “Clock” button
to confirm the setting. This will take you to the next clock settings option. This allows you to successively adjust the following values:
- 24/12 hour display - in 12 hour mode the time from 12 to 23:59 will show PM next to the time.
- Time zone (+2, +1, 0, -1, -2)
- Language for displaying the day of the week - A bbreviations for languages: GE for German, EN for Engli sh, FR for French, DU for Dutch, SP for Spanish, IT for Italian.48 GB/IE Set the desired language by pressing the “Clock” button
will be shown in “M/D”. Alarm functions The light alarm clock features an acoustic and a visual alarm. The visual alarm is a light which appears in the illuminated panel
. The brightness is adjustable. You may further set a lead time. The lead time is the time from the alarm time setting during which the brightness of the light field will gradually increase from zero to the set value (sunrise simulation). Choose from eight different soundscapes, an electronic alarm signal sound or radio reception as the acoustic alarm signal. The volume of the acoustic alarm signal can be selected. The alarm signal starts at the set alarm time at a low volume and adjusts to the set value within a few minutes.49 GB/IE The alarm features an alternate simple alarm function and snooze function. When selecting the simple alarm function, shut off the alarm with a simple button of a button. When selecting the snooze function the alarm signal will turn off and sound again 10 minutes later. This process can be repeated any number of times until the alarm finally shuts off. Setting the alarm In clock mode, hold the “Alarm” button
for 3 seconds to enter alarm setup mode. Press the “+” button
to change the respective flashing value. TIP: Holding the “+” button

The higher the number the louder the alarm signal sound. Note: During the acoustic alarm is activate, depend on select alarms, a flashing “ ” or “FM” symbol will appear in the LC-display
. The symbol will be static once the alarm switched off. Sunlight / Mood light mode: Used to set the colour of the visual alarm. The two digit is flashing on LC-display

to select the visual alarm brightness. Visual alarm lead time: This sets the duration of the lead time. Choose from the following lead times: OFF (no lead time), 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 minutes. Note: During the visual alarm lead time a flashing will appear in the LC-display
. With the visual alarm going off at the same time as the acoustic alarm, the symbol will be static. Switching off the alarm If no button is pressed after the alarm automatically activates, the alarm will automatically switch off after one hour and will only reactivate the next time the alarm time occurs. When the alarm sounds, you can switch it off with the “SNOOZE” touch button
When using the snooze function, the alarm will sound again in 10 minutes. To completely switch off the alarm with the snooze function activated, hold the “SNOOZE” touch button
once. The alarm will then remain off until the next alarm time reoccurs.52 GB/IE Note: In clock mode, press the “Alarm” button

to confirm your selection. To recall a saved station repeatedly press the “T” button
with the light alarm clock in radio mode until the desired mem- ory location appears in the LC-display

The mood light function activates a dim coloured light in the illuminated panel

to activate the mood light. Repeatedly press the “Light +” touch button
to increase the brightness 1–5, and to switch it off. Or press the “Light –” touch button
to change the colour scale as follows C1–C9:
- red → orange → greenish→ light green → green → sky blue → purple→ automatic colour change → fix the current color of the color change function Activating the mood light does not impact the functionality of the visual alarm. The mood light will be switched off and on again after the alarm. Sleep timer mode In clock mode, touch the light “On / Off” touch button

Battery operation The inserted battery is only to backup the clock display and alarm function. In the event of a power failure the light alarm clock will automatically switch to battery mode. The clock will continue running in battery mode. To save energy, only the electronic alarm will sound. All light functions and the radio are non-operational. Once power returns via the DC plug
, all functions of the light alarm clock will be available again.56 GB/IE Replacing battery Battery should be replaced at least once a year to ensure reliable function of the light alarm clock.

For this re ason it is possible that it can be disrupted by radio transmitting equip- ment in the immediate vicinity. Electrostatic discharges can lead to malfunctions. In this case, press the “Reset” button
. This will reset the light alarm clock and perform a brief test of the LC-display
