Insert a finger into the opening, then briefly press the function button . The device starts measuring. Stay still during the measurement. Results appear after a few seconds. The device automatically turns off approximately 10 seconds after removing the finger.
What batteries to use and how to replace them?
Use exclusively 2 AAA 1.5 V batteries (included). To replace, slide the battery compartment cover, insert the batteries respecting polarity (+/-), then close. Measurement data is retained during replacement.
How to activate Bluetooth® and transfer data to the HealthForYou app?
Turn on the oximeter, then press and hold the function button for 5 seconds to access Bluetooth settings. Select ON to activate. Open the HealthForYou app on your smartphone, enable Bluetooth in settings. Follow the app instructions to pair the devices (6-digit PIN code). Data can be transferred automatically after each measurement or manually by pressing and holding the button for 5 seconds when the device is off.
What do the displayed values (SpO₂ and pulse) mean?
SpO₂ (oxygen saturation) as a percentage: 99-94 % is normal, 93-90 % is low (consult a doctor), < 90 % is critical (medical emergency). PR bpm (pulse rate): number of beats per minute (normal 60-100). The pulse waveform and pulse bar are visual representations of the signal, not intended for diagnosis.
Why does my oximeter not display a measurement or show fluctuations?
Possible causes: dead or incorrectly inserted batteries, finger too large (width >20 mm or thickness >15 mm) or too small (width <10 mm or thickness <5 mm), nail polish, movement during measurement, or cardiac arrhythmias. Check the batteries, use a suitable finger, remove nail polish, stay still, and consult a doctor if in doubt.
How to clean and maintain the oximeter?
After each use, clean the housing and inner rubber surface with a soft cloth moistened with medical alcohol. Never immerse the device or sterilize it under high pressure. Replace the batteries if the low battery indicator appears. Remove the batteries if the device is not used for more than one month.

Do not use the oximeter if allergic to rubber, on infants or young children, during an MRI or CT scan, while taking blood pressure with a cuff, on fingers with nail polish, dirty or bandaged, or on fingers that are too thick. Also avoid explosive environments or proximity to combustible gas mixtures.
Can the oximeter be used at high altitude?
Yes, but oxygen saturation decreases with altitude. At 1500-2500 m, expected SpO₂ is >90 % (usually no altitude sickness). Between 2500-3000 m, it can drop to ~90 %, adaptation is advised. People with respiratory or cardiac conditions should consult a doctor before use at altitude.
How to reset the device to factory settings?
Remove one battery from the compartment. Press and hold the function button while reinserting the battery. Continue holding the button for an additional 5 seconds. The screen displays «RESET√» to confirm the reset.
What is the warranty period and how to claim it?
The oximeter has a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase against material or manufacturing defects. The warranty does not cover damage due to improper use, wear parts, or unauthorized openings. For a claim, contact customer service at 080 53 400 06 (toll-free in France) or return the device to NU Service GmbH, Lessingstraße 10b, 89231 Neu-Ulm, Germany, with proof of purchase.

Pulse oximeter

- Introduction

SILVERCREST IAN 322246 - - Introduction - 1

Familiarise yourself with the pulse oximeter before using it for the first time. Please carefully read the following instructions for use and the important safety notes. Failure to observe the notes may result in personal injury or property damage. Only use the pulse oximeter as described and for the indicated

purposes. Keep these instructions for use in a safe place. Include all documentation when passing the pulse oximeter to third parties.

Intendeduse

Only use the SPO 55 pulse oximeter on people to measure the arterial oxygen saturation (SpO _2 ) of haemoglobin and the heart rate (pulse rate). The pulse oximeter is suitable for private environments (at home) and healthcare (hospitals, medical facilities).

Any other use not specified above or modification of the pulse oximeter is prohibited and may result in injuries and / or damage the pulse oximeter. The manufacturer assumes no liability for damages caused by improper use.

Function

The SPO 55 pulse oximeter serves non-invasive measurement of the arterial oxygen saturation ( SpO_2 ) and the heart rate (pulse rate). The oxygen saturation indicates the percentage of haemoglobin in the arterial blood is loaded with oxygen. The respiratory function is therefore an important parameter of assessment.

The pulse oximeter uses two rays with different wavelengths which strike the finger inside the housing to take measurements. A low oxygen saturation rate is primarily caused by illness (respiratory illnesses, asthma, heart failure, etc.). People with a low oxygen saturation rate often experience the following symptoms: shortness of breath, increased heart rate, impaired performance,

59 GB/IE

nervousness and perspiration. Chronic and known low oxygen saturation requires monitoring with your pulse oximeter under medical supervision. An acute low oxygen saturation, with or without symptoms, requires immediate medical attention. This could be a sign of a life-threatening condition. The pulse oximeter is therefore particularly suited for high-risk patients such as persons with heart disease, asthma, as well as for athletes and healthy persons in high altitudes (e.g. mounting climbers, skiers or amateur pilots).

Improperuse

!me pulse oximeter shows

an instant measurement but cannot be used for continuous monitoring.

The pulse oximeter does not have an alarm and is therefore not suitable for analysing medical results. Do not self-diagnose or self-treat based on the measurements without consulting your attending physician. Do not start new medication without consulting a physician and do not modify the type and / or dosage of current medications.

The pulse wave and the pulse bar do not allow an assessment of the intensity of the pulse or circulation at the measured site but solely visualise the current signal visualisation at the site measured, but does not allow certain pulse diagnosis.
