Frequently Asked Questions - Nina STADLERFORM

How to turn the Nina diffuser on and off?

Press the On/Off button (6) to turn on the device (power level 2 by default). Press a second time to switch to level 1, a third time to turn off.

How to adjust the LED brightness?

Use the dimmer switch (7): press once for dimmed mode, twice to turn off the LED, once more to return to normal mode.

What is the battery life and how to charge it?

The lithium battery offers up to 50 hours of autonomy. Charge via USB port with the mains adapter or a 2A source (computer, power bank). The battery indicator LED (10) flashes when charge is below 10% and stays on solid during charging.

How to replace the scented globe?

Lift the upper part (4), remove the used globe, place the new globe (available in 6 fragrances: White Amber, Orange Bergamot, etc.) and put the upper part back in place.

Can I use the diffuser without plugging it into the mains?

Yes, once the battery is fully charged, you can unplug the USB cable and use the device on battery for up to 50 hours.

How to clean the inside of the diffuser?

Turn off and unplug the device. Remove the scented globe. Clean the upper and lower parts with a damp cloth containing a drop of dish soap, then dry thoroughly. Never immerse the device in water.

What to do in case of battery leakage?

Avoid any contact with eyes and skin. Collect the spilled liquid with a cloth and dispose of it according to local regulations. Consult a professional if necessary.

Where can I buy replacement scented globes?

Scented globes are available from the retailer where you purchased the Nina. Six fragrances are offered: White Amber, Orange Bergamot, Red Jasmine, Blue Rosewood, Black Orchid and Yellow Vanilla.

Does the diffuser make noise?

The noise level is below 26 dB(A), making it very quiet, ideal for use in a bedroom or office.

What is the product warranty?

The warranty is 2 years and covers material, construction and manufacturing defects. It excludes normal wear parts and damage due to neglected maintenance.

Congratulations! You have just purchased the exceptional aroma diffuser lady NINA. It will bring you a great deal of pleasure and improve the ambient air for you.

As with all domestic electrical appliances, particular care is needed with this model also, in order to avoid injury, fire damage or damage to the appliance. Please study these operating instructions carefully before using the appliance for the first time and follow the safety advice on the appliance itself.

The appliance consists of the following main components:

How your product works

The way that your aroma diffuser works is based on the natural principle of evaporation. A fan blows air across the beads in the fragrance globe which are filled with fragrance oil so that the fragrance is emitted into the room.

Important safety instructions

Please read through the operating instructions carefully before you use the appliance for the first time and keep them safely for later reference; if necessary pass them on to the next owner.

• Stadler Form refuses all liability for loss or damage which arises as a result of failure to follow these operating instructions.
• The appliance is only to be used in the home for the purposes described in these instructions. Unauthorised use and technical modifications to the appliance can lead to danger to life and health.
• Use and keep the device and fragrance globe out of reach of children.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
• Only connect the cable to alternating current. Observe the voltage information given on the appliance.

• Do not use damaged extension cords.

• Do not run the power cord over sharp edges and make sure that it does not get trapped.

• Do not pull the plug from the socket with wet hands or by holding on to the power cord.
• Do not use the appliance in immediate vicinity of a bath tub, a shower or a swimming pool (observe a minimum distance of 0.7m ). Place the appliance such that a person in the bath tub cannot touch the appliance.
• Keep the device and fragrance globe away from heat sources.
• This device contains a lithium battery.
• In case of battery leakage: Avoid contact with human eyes and skin. Collect spillage.
• Do not place the appliance near a heat source. Do not subject the power cord to direct heat (such as a heated hotplate, open flames, hot iron sole plates or heaters for example). Protect power cords from oil.
• Do not drop the device. Otherwise the battery may overheat, cause a fire or malfunction and reduce service life.
• See to it that the appliance is properly positioned to ensure a high stability during its operation and make sure that no one can trip over the power cord.
  The appliance is not splash-proof.
• For indoor use only.
• Do not store the appliance outdoors.
• Store the appliance in a dry place inaccessible to children (pack the appliance).

• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or a repair shop authorized by the manufacturer or by similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

• Prior to any maintenance, cleaning and after each use, switch off the appliance and unplug the mains cable from the socket.

• Repairs to electrical appliances must only be carried out by a qualified electrical technician.
• Only use the adapter provided by the manufacturer.
• Fragrance globe: Harmful if swallowed. May cause an allergic skin reaction. Very toxic to aquatic life. Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Avoid release to the environment.
• To prolong the life of your fragrance globe, please keep it in the airtight blister pack when it is not being used. The fragrance gloce may decrease in size if it is used over a period of several weeks.

Setting up / operation

1. Place Nina in the desired position on a flat surface. Connect the USB cable (1) to the power adapter (2) and to the appliance (3) and insert the adapter into a suitable socket. Alternatively, you can also connect the USB cable to another power source such as a PC or an external battery (battery pack/power bank) with min. 2A. The device is equipped with a battery. When fully charged, it allows Nina to operate for up to 50 hours without having to be plugged into the mains.
2. Take off the top part (4). Remove the fragrance globe (9) provided from the plastic bag and place the globe back in the device. Then put the top part back on the bottom part (5).
3. Then switch Nina on by pressing her on/off button (6). The LED underneath the globe will now light up and create a soft glow. Each fragrance globe creates

a unique atmosphere.

1. When you switch Nina on, she will automatically be set to level 2. To reduce her output to level 1, press the on/off button (6) again. If you press the on/off button a third time, the device will switch off.

2. If you find the lamps too bright (in a bedroom for example), you may reduce the light intensity by pressing the dimmer button (7). You can choose between three different modes:

You can return to normal mode by re-pressing the dimmer button (7).

1. On the back of the bottom part next to the connection for the USB cable (3), you will find the status display for the battery (10):

When the device is fully charged, the LED will go out. You can now disconnect the USB cable and use the device in battery mode (for up to 50 hours).

Note: There are 6 different fragrance types to choose from in the fragrance globe range: White Amber, Orange Bergamot, Red Jasmine, Blue Rosewood, Black Orchid, Yellow Vanilla. You can buy the fragrance globes from the same place you bought your Nina.

Cleaning

Before maintenance and after every use, switch the device off and pull the network adapter out of the socket.

Careful: Never immerse the device in water (danger of short circuit).

• Regularly as required: To clean the outside, rub with a damp cloth and then dry thoroughly.
• Regularly as required: Cleaning the inside: Take the fragrance globe out of the device and place it on a surface that is not sensitive to fragrances. Put a drop of washing-up liquid on a damp cloth or sponge, use it to wipe the inside of the top and bottom parts and then leave them to dry completely.

Repairs

• Repairs to electrical appliances must only be carried out by a qualified electrical technician. If improper repairs are carried out, the warranty lapses and all liability is refused.
• Never operate the appliance if the adaptor or plug is damaged, after it has malfunctioned, if it has been dropped or has been damaged in any other way (cracks/breaks in the casing).
• Do not push any object into the appliance.
• If the appliance is beyond repair, make it unusable immediately by cutting through the cable and hand it in at the collection point provided for the purpose.

Disposal

The European directive 2012 / 19 / CE on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed in the normal unsorted municipal waste stream. Old appliances must be collected separately in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain and reduce the impact on human health and the environment. The crossed out "wheeled bin" symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation, that when you dispose of the appliance it must be separately collected. Consumers should contact their local authority or retailer for information

concerning the correct disposal of their old appliance. The fragrance globe is made from chlorine-free plastic and can be disposed of with the household waste. Battery disposal method: do not throw into the trash can, the electrode is wrapped in insulating paper, it can be recycled and reused.
