ATTENTION: Risk of injury/burning!
- Do not immerse the appliance, the power cord or the plug in water for cleaning and do not clean them under running water!

NOTE: Do not put the reversible grill plate and the pans in the dishwasher, because the dishwasher salt might damage the non-stick coating resp. the surface of the plate/pans!
- Wipe the casing and the heating element with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
- Clean the grill plate, pans and small spatulas in lukewarm water with some dishwashing detergent. Soak severe soiling fi rstly with some oil.
- Make sure no water or steam may infi ltrate the appliance from below.
- Never use abrasives, solvents or sharp objects!
- Do not use steel wool or metal sponges!
- Do not use oven cleaners!
- Do not treat the appliance or accessory parts with a steam cleaner!
Tips and notes
- For the initial use the grill plate, grease it with some oil. There is no more grease required subsequently.
- Make sure the food does not get in contact with the heating element as otherwise the food might burn.
- Only season cheese after the melting process as spices burn at high heat and develop unpleasant smoke as well as an unpleasant taste.
- If possible, take the grill food out of the fridge 12 hour before you start to grill. Then it will roast thoroughly more quickly and you avoid that thicker meat stays cold inside.
- Oil lean meat slightly before grilling. You will achieve best results with small and tender meat cuts. Do not pierce the meat when turning it, so that no juice is lost.
- For achieving a nice browning, sear the meat shortly. The meat is well done when the juice coming out is clear.
- Spices and marinades might generate smoke during grilling. To avoid this, just use non-seasoned / non-marinated meat and offer seasoning mixtures and barbecue sauces when served.
- Spice the meat before, but salt it after grilling. This will keep the juice inside.
- Pierce sausages before grilling to prevent them from bursting.
- As side dishes, we recommend crispy bread, fresh salads and cooked potatoes.
Disposal/recycling
Packaging material
Do not simply throw the packaging material away but recycle it. Deliver paper, cardboard and corrugated cardboard to waste paper collection points. Also put plastic packaging material and foils into the specific collection containers.

The printed or embossed markings indicate the materials which were used: PE stands for polyethylene (code 02 means high-density PE, 04 stands for low-density PE), PS stands for polystyrene and CPE for chlorinated polyethylene. PAP 20 means corrugated cardboard and PAP 21 other cardboard. All plastics are thermoplastics which are very easy and efficient to produce. They are also very easy to recycle and therefore can even have a smaller ecological footprint than comparable cardboard packaging.
