Instructions for proper use

  • This device has been designed for domestic use. This clear water pump is suitable for dirt particles up to 1 mm grain size. Under no circumstances may the device be used in commercial or industrial areas or for purposes other than those described.
  • This device is used exclusively for water extraction, drainage and pumping out the garden pond or cellar. The temperature of the water must not exceed 35 °C.
  • It is strictly forbidden to transport aggressive, corrosive, ammable (e.g. motor oil) or explosive liquids as well as salt water, cleaning agents or food with this pump. Any violation will immediately void the warranty and may result in serious injury or damage. The pump is not suitable for commercial use.
  • The submersible pressure pump they use is intended for pumping water at a maximum temperature of 35°C. This pump must not be used for other liquids, in particular motor fuels, cleaning agents and other chemical products.
  • This pump is particularly suitable as a cistern pump. Installed in a shaft, this pump provides protection against ooding. But it can also be used wherever water has to be pumped around. Installation instructions
  • The submersible pressure pump is installed either stationary with a xed pipe or stationary with a exible hose.
  • During installation, it must be ensured that the pump is never mounted freely suspended from the pressure line or power cable. The submersible pressure pump must be suspended from the handle provided for this purpose or rest on the oor of the shaft. To ensure that the pump functions properly, the shaft bottom must always be free of sludge or other impurities. If the water level is too low, the sludge in the shaft can dry up quickly and prevent the pump from starting. It is therefore necessary to check the submersible pressure pump regularly (carry out start-up attempts). The oat switch is set in such a way that immediate commissioning is possible.
  • The pump shaft should be at least 60x60x50 cm so that the oat switch can move freely.12

Note: Long enough and strong ropes should be attached to the handle before the rst use. When the pump is immersed into the liquid, the rope along with a handle can be used to balance the pump. After you have read these installation and operating instructions carefully, you can put your new pump into operation by observing the following points:

  • Check that the pump rests on the ground.
  • Check that the pressure line has been properly installed.
  • Make sure that the electrical connection is 230 V ~ 50 Hz.
  • Check the proper condition of the electrical outlet.
  • Make sure that moisture or water never reaches the mains connection. Note: The pump must not run dry! When setting the oat switch, make sure that it does not touch the ground before switching off the pump. Check the functionality of the oat switch The switch-on or switch-off point is determined by the height of the water level. The switching differential can be set universally by lengthening or shortening the oat cable. The integrated oat switch is already set so that the pump can be operated immediately. If you use the pump stationary, you must check the function of the oat switch regularly, but at least every 3 months.
  • You must position the oat switch so that you can reach the switching point heights „On“ and „Off“ with relatively little effort. To check this, place the pump in a container lled with water and carefully lift the oat switch by hand and lower it again. The pump must switch itself on or off.
  • Always ensure that the distance between the head of the oat switch and the oat switch grid is not too small. If the distance is too small, proper operation cannot be guaranteed.
  • When setting the oat switch, also make sure that it does not touch the ground before switching off the pump.13

The submersible pressure pump is a maintenance-free and proven quality product that is subjected to strict nal inspections. However, for a long service life and perfect operation, we recommend regular inspection and maintenance.

  • Disconnect the mains plug before maintenance and cleaning.
  • If transportable, clean the pump with clear water after each use.
  • For stationary installation it is recommended to check the function of the oat switch every 3 months.
  • Remove uff and brous particles that may have settled in the pump housing with a water jet.
  • At the latest every 3 months, remove sludge from the shaft oor and also clean the shaft walls. This depends on the degree of contamination.
  • Clean the oat switch of deposits with clear water.
  • If the connecting cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its customer service or a similar qualied person in order to avoid hazards! Storage
  • Clean the pump before storage.
  • Store the pump in a dry and frost-free room out of the reach of children.
  • If you wish to store the pump for a longer period of time, you must clean the unit thoroughly after the last operation and before using it again. Otherwise, residues or deposits may cause start-up problems. TROUBLESHOOTING Problem Possible Cause Suggesed Solution Pump does not start. Mains voltage is missing. Check mains voltage. Float switch does not switch. Move oat switch to higher position. Pump does not pump. Screen clogged. Clean sieve with water jet. Hose kinked. Remove the kink.14

Problem Possible Cause Suggesed Solution Pump does not switch off. Float switch cannot sink. Place the pump correctly on the ground shaft. Delivery insufcient. Inlet sieve blocked. Clean the sieve. Pump performance reduced by heavily polluted water. Clean pump and replace wearing parts. Pump switches off after short running time. Motor protection switches the pump off due to excessive water contamination. Pull out the mains plug and clean the pump and shaft. Water temperature too high (motor protection switches off). Make sure that the maximum water temperature is 35 °C.
