1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8

years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.

2. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made

by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.

BEFORE USING YOUR APPLIANCE

If you are using the appliance for the first time, it is recommended that you clean your appliance before use by brewing a full kettle of water twice and then discarding the water. Note: The maximum capacity and minimum capacity for brewing water is 1.7L and 0.5L. The maximum capacity and minimum capacity for brewing tea is 1.0L and 0.5L.- 6 - OPERATION

1) Rotate the kettle lid anti-clockwise to turn the mark “OPEN” (on the rim of the lid) align with the mark

“▲”. Lift the lid; pour out left over water from the previous brewing cycle and fill with the desired amount of fresh water to the kettle. Rotate the kettle lid clockwise to turn the mark “CLOSE” (on the rim of the lid) align with the mark “▲” to lock the kettle lid in place.

2) Put the kettle body on the power base and plug the appliance into an appropriate electrical outlet. A

beep sound will be heard.

3) Press the temperature setting buttons to set your desired brewing temperature (70-100℃). Press the

time setting buttons to set the time to “0:00”.

4) Press the button “ON/OFF”, the digital display firstly shows “- -” and then shows the current water

temperature. The appliance starts to brew water.

5) When the temperature reaches the set temperature, 3 beep sounds will be heard. The appliance will

stop working and the digital display will extinguish after approx. 20 seconds. Note: for brewing water, it is recommended to take the tea-brewing basket out of the kettle by the ring-pull on the top of the basket.

4) Secondly, press the button “Strength” to select your desired tea strength: “Strong”, “Medium” and

“Mild”. Its corresponding indicator light will illuminate and the digital display will show the corresponding brewing time. If you want other strength of tea, press the button “Strength” to select “Custom” and then press the time setting buttons to set your desired brewing time (0-10minutes).

5) Finally, press the button “ON/OFF”, the digital display firstly shows “- -” and then shows the current

water temperature. The appliance starts to brew water.

6) When the temperature reaches the set temperature, the tea-brewing basket will go down into the

water and the brewing time will start to count down. When the brewing time is “0:00”, the tea-brewing basket will go up automatically and 3 beep sounds will be heard. The appliance will stop working and the digital display will extinguish after 20 seconds. Reference pre-set programmes for brewing temperature and brewing time

/2min Type of tea Tea strength Brewing temperature/time- 7 - Auto start function If you want to set the auto start time to brew water, firstly follow the steps “1) - 3)” in section “Brew water”. If you want to set the auto start time to brew tea, firstly follow the steps “1) - 4)” in section “Brew tea”. And then follow the below steps: - Press and hold the button “AUTO START” for approx. 2 seconds. The indicator light of the button “AUTO START” will illuminate in blue and the digital display will flash the “CURRENT TIME” and the “START TIME”. - Press the temperature setting buttons to set the current time, the digital display will show the value under “CURRENT TIME”. Press the time setting buttons to set the start time, the digital display will show the value under “START TIME”. (See below picture.) The time cycle is 24 hours. Long press for rapid adjustment. - Then press the button “ON/OFF” to enter into the auto-start working mode. The digital display will extinguish after 20 seconds. - When the current time counts to reach the start time, the appliance will start brewing. Keep warm function Press the keep warm button during brewing, its indicator light will illuminate in blue. After brewing is finished, 3 beep sounds will be heard and then the appliance will enter into keep-warm mode. The digital display will start to count the time and extinguish after approx. 20 seconds. You can press any button to turn on the digital display to check the current temperature and the keep warm time. The whole keep-warm process will last 30 minutes. The keep-warm temperature is ≥60℃. Press the button “ON/OFF” or “Keep warm” to exit the keep warm function. Under keep-warm mode the tea-brewing basket should not move. It should stay on top. Press the keep warm button after the brewing is finished, the digital display will show “- -” and then show the current water temperature. - If the current water temperature is ≥60℃, the appliance will enter into keep-warm mode. The digital display will start to count the time and extinguish after approx. 20 seconds. The keep warm function will operate as above. - If the current water temperature is <60℃, the appliance will not enter into keep-warm mode. The digital display will flash the temperature value 3 times and extinguish after approx. 20 seconds. Tips: The digital display will extinguish in approx. 20 seconds with no operations. If you want to do further operations, press any button first to turn on the digital display and then press the buttons to choose your desired functions. The appliance will not work if the set temperature is lower than the current water temperature. Boil-dry protection Should you accidentally let the kettle operate without water, the boil-dry protection will automatically switch off the power. If this occurs, allow the kettle to cool before filling with cold water and re-boiling.- 8 -

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

1. Always let the kettle cool down first and disconnect the appliance from the power outlet before

cleaning. Never immerse the kettle or base into the water or other liquid to avoid electric shock.

2. Never immerse the kettle, power cord or power base in water, or allow moisture to contact with these

1. Fill the kettle with 3 cups of white vinegar, and then add water to the amount so as to cover the bottom

of the kettle completely. Leave the solution in the kettle overnight.

2. Discard the mixture in the kettle, fill the kettle with clean water, boil and then discard the water. Repeat

several times until the odor of vinegar has been flushed away. Any stains remaining inside the spout can be removed by rubbing with a damp cloth.
