General safety guidelines
1. This device is only to be used indoors.
2. Use this device only for the purpose for which it was designed
(ventilating a household space) and in the manner described in this9 booklet. Any other use can be dangerous and can cause fire, injury, damage, electric shock, etc., and will void the warranty.
3. Check the fan, plug and electrical cable for damage before use.
4. Assemble the fan completely before using it. Always remove the
plug from the socket when mounting / dismantling.
5. Do not operate the device if you notice any damage to the device,
electrical cable or plug, or if it malfunctions, has been dropped or otherwise malfunctions. Return the complete device to your supplier or an authorized electrician for inspection and / or repair. Always ask for original parts. The device (incl. Electrical cable and plug) may only be opened and / or repaired by authorized and qualified persons. Never carry out repairs yourself.
6. Remove the plug from the wall socket and immediately switch off
the fan when you hear strange noises, smell or see smoke.
7. Before use, check that the voltage supplied by the outlet to which
you want to connect the fan is the same as the voltage on the rating plate of the fan: 220 / 240V-50Hz.
8. Prevent the use of extension cables. If this is unavoidable, use an
approved cable of sufficient capacity and unwind it completely.
9. Prevent the electrical cable from coming into contact with sharp,
hot or moving objects. Do not wind it around the fan and do not wind it too tightly.
10. Never use the fan with a damaged electrical cable. Never repair this
yourself, but contact your supplier or an authorized service point for repair.

13. This device is not suitable for use in wet or damp areas such as

18. Keep the suction and discharge grille clean and dust-free and
ensure a minimum of 30 cm free space around the fan.
19. Make sure that there are no objects in the vicinity of the fan that
can prevent oscillation.
20. Never put a finger, pen, stick or anything else through the
protective grille into the working fan!
21. Do not spray any agents (anti-insect, cleaning or whatever) on or in
the fan; this can cause physical complaints (especially with children!) or damage parts.
22. Do not store or use the device:
- In places where it can get wet or fall into water - Near to highly flammable, explosive or gaseous substances - Near acids, alkali, oil and other substances that can cause corrosion.
23. Do not connect the fan to a timer or a dimmer.
24. Do not use the fan at temperatures above 40 ° C, near heating
equipment and in dusty areas.
25. Always remove the plug from the socket before moving, cleaning or
servicing the fan. Do the same when the fan is not in use. To do this, hold the plug in your hand; never pull the cord!
26. Always unplug the appliance after use.
27. This device can be used by children 8 years of age and older and
persons with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been supervised or have instructions on how to use the device in a safe manner and understand the associated dangers.
28. Children must not play with the device.
29. Prevent the device from constantly blowing on small children,
patients or people who have difficulty moving.
30. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children
without supervision.11 Assembly (only HVF18S-2)

1. Put the holder (3) together with the
telescopic stand (2) in the foot (5); there are recesses to attach the screws to the foot.
2. From the bottom side, insert the
large screw together with the plate (6) through the foot into the holder and turn the holder tightly onto the foot.
3. Put the holder including the foot in
an upright position and slide the decorative cap (4) over the fastening.
4. Slide the mounting tube of the frame (1) into the telescopic stand (2) (see the
illustration.), screw holes should align with screw holes. Insert both screws through the telescopic stand into the mounting tube. Tighten them using both nuts.
5. Set the required height by (a) loosening the clamping screw (8), (b) setting the
telescopic stand to the required height and (c) tightening the clamping screw.
6. Check that everything is secured properly. Never use the fan before it has been
fully assembled! Operation (for all models) Before using the device, make sure all of the safety guidelines have been taken into account. Operation button (at back) to 0. Insert the plug into the socket. Choose the setting desired: 1 = low (pleasant breeze) 2 = average (powerful breeze) 3 = high (very powerful wind) Back to 0 = switch off In order to switch off, always turn the button to 0 then take the plug out of the socket!12 Changing wind direction Always switch the fan off and remove plug from socket before changing wind direction! Take the safety grille in both hands and turn it to the desired direction. Tilted The HVF14-2 and HVF18-2 can be tilted by approximately 150°, the HVF18S-2 can move by about 275°. Cleaning and maintenance Switch the fan off and remove the plug from the socket if you wish to clean the device or perform maintenance. The fan only needs general, exterior maintenance. Dust it regularly with a soft cloth or duster or use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush to clean.. Ensure that water does not come into contact with anything other than the grille and blades. Never rinse or spray the fan! In order to prevent material discolouration or deformities, never use aggressive or corrosive (cleaning) products. If the fan is to be stored at the end of the season, repack in its original packaging: this offers the best protection. Store it in a safe and dry place that is not subject to extremes of heat or cold. Removal In the EU this symbol indicates that this product may not be disposed of as ordinary household waste. Old equipment contains valuable materials, suitable for recycling. These materials should be made suitable for reuse in order to prevent any adverse effects to health and the environment caused by unregulated waste collection. Therefore, please make sure that you bring old equipment to a designated collection point.
