• This device may be only used by children 8 years old or older and persons with limited physical, sensory and mental capabilities and / or lack of experience and knowledge, provided that they have been instructed in use of the device by a responsible person who understands the associated risks.

• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.

• Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.

• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: sta kitchen areas in shops, oces and other working environments; farm houses; by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; bed and breakfast type environments.

• Before connecting the kettle to the power supply, check that the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds with the voltage in your home. If this is not the same, contact your dealer and do not use the kettle.

• This appliance has been incorporated with a grounded plug. Please ensure the wall outlet in your house is well earthed.

• Do not operate the appliance without load to avoid damaging the heat elements.

• Unplug from the outlet when not in use.

• Do not let the cord hang over edge of table counter or touch hot surface.

• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.

• Should you accidentally allow the kettle to operate without water; the boil-dry protection will automatically switch it o. If this should occur, allow the kettle to cool before lling with cold water and re-boiling.

• Ensure that kettle is used on a rm and at surface where the children can’t touch, this can prevent from overturning the kettle to damage the person or kettle.

• To protect against a re, electric shock or personal injury, do not immerse cord, electric plugs or kettle in water or other liquids.

• Always take care to pour boiling water slowly and carefully without tipping the kettle too fast.

• Be careful when opening the lid for relling when the kettle is hot.

• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.15

• Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot water.

• The appliance is not a toy. Do not let the children play it.

• The use of accessory attachments that are not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in re, electric shock or personal injury.

• While water boiling, avoid contacting with steam from the spout when water is boiling or just after it has switched o . Do not be anxious to uncover the lid.

• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning; allow it to cool before putting on or taking o parts and before cleaning the appliance. CAUTION Risk of injury! Always ensure the lid is closed and do not lift it while the water is boiling. Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the brewing cycles.

• Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.

• If the kettle is over lled, boiling water may be ejected.

• The kettle is for household use only, not for outdoors.

• The machine should not be operated by means of an external timer-switch or by means of a separate system with remote control.

• Do not remove the lid while the water is boiling.

• If you wish to stop the kettle before the water has boiled, you must switch o the appliance before removing the kettle from its base.

• This appliance is not designed for commercial use.

• Our warranty does not cover water kettles that malfunction resulting from failure to descale.

• The kettle is only to be used with the stand provided.16

Before using vour Kettle If you are using the kettle for the rst time, it is recommended that you clean your kettle before use by boiling a full kettle of water twice and then discarding the water.17

Operation of your Kettle

1. Open the lid by pulling up the lid knob; ll with the desired amount of water

to the water kettle. Always ll the kettle between the minimum and maximum marks. Too little water will result in the kettle switching o before the water has boiled. NOTE: Do not ll the water over the maximum level, as water may spill out of the spout when boiling. Ensure that the lid is rmly in place before connecting the power cord to the outlet.

2. Connect the plug into a power outlet. Press the on/o switch button ” on the

handle and the kettle starts to boil the water. The LED lights inside the kettle will illuminate red. The kettle will switch o automatically once the water has boiled. You can shut o the power by pressing the switch button again at any moment during boiling water. NOTE: Ensure that the lid is rmly closed.

3. Take the plug out of the outlet. Lift the kettle then pour the water. NOTE:

operate carefully when pouring the water from your kettle as boiling water will scald.

4. The kettle will not re-boil until the switch is pressed again. Allow to cool for

30~40 seconds before reope- ning to boil water. NOTE: Ensure power supply is turned o when kettle is not in use.

5. Should you accidentally allow the kettle to operate without water; the boil-dry

protection will automatically switch it o. If this occurs, allow the kettle to cool before lling with cold water and re-boiling. Temperature showing by LED display Press the temperature control button to choose your desired water temperature 50°C, 70°C, 80°C or 90°C, the corresponding indicator light on handle will be on. Then press the on/o switch button ”, the kettle will start heating with dierent colour LED lights inside. When the desired temperature reaches, the kettle will stop heating and send out beep sounds. 50°C: Green light. 70°C: Blue light. 80°C: Purple light. 90°C: Yellow-green light.18

Keep warm function Press button ” to choose your desired water temperature 50°C, 70°C, 80°C or 90°C, the corresponding indicator light on handle will be on. Press and hold the on/ o switch button ” for approx. 3 seconds, the cor- responding indicator light on handle begins to ash and the kettle starts heating with LED lighs illuminating inside. When the set temperature is reached, beep sounds will be heard. The kettle will keep the water warim for 30 minutes and then shut o automatically. Note: Press and hold the on/o switch button ” for approx. 3 seconds without choosing the temperature, by default the kettle will heat to 50°C for keeping warm. Filter This water kettle is equipped with a lter. You can add tea or fruit in to the lter before heating to brew together with the water.19

Note: Before your cleaning, please unplug the electrical kettle and make sure it has been cooled down. Never immerse any part of the cable, plug, power cord base or kettle in water or any other liquid. Exterior of the Kettle

• Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a piece of damp cloth and then dry it with a piece of dry cloth.

• Never use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning agents as these may damage the nish of your kettle. Descaling the Kettle Over using a period of time, lime scale would be built up inside of your kettle. To remove lime scale: Method 1 1 Half ll the kettle with water and add the juice of a lemon. 2 Boil up the water and allow it to stand for 15 minutes before discarding. 3 Repeat steps 1 and 2 several time, please using cold water only. Method 2 (for stubborn deposits) 1 Fill the kettle with water and vinegar or juice (citric acid) or use a special descaling agent available in household stores. 2 Leave the kettle for 1 hour, then boil the water. 3 Empty the kettle and rinse it thoroughly with cold water. 4 If necessary repeat the procedure 1-3 times. 5 To eliminate the smell of vinegar, boil fresh water several times and pour it out. 6 Wipe the interior and exterior surfaces of the kettle with a cloth. Note: Do not use wire brush or any other abrasive objects. Do not clean the kettle with strong detergents.20
