SAFETY INSTRUCTION
This appliance corresponds to accepted technological standards with regards to safety. Nevertheless, as a manufacturer we consider it our obligation to make you aware of the following safety information.
General Safety
- This appliance may only be connected to a power supply with the same voltage as that specified on the rating plate!
- Never use the flex to pull the plug out of the socket but pull the actual plug.
- If the main cord of this appliance is damaged, it has to be replaced by the manufacturer or its customer service or a trained electrician to avoid risks.
- Never use the kettle if it has been dropped or has evidently been damaged or has become immersed in water. Contact Customer Care Department for examination and repair.
- Repairs to this appliance may only be carried out by qualified service engineers. Considerable danger may result from improper repairs. If repairs become necessary, please contact the Customer Care Department or your authorized dealer.

before cleaning and attending to the kettle and after each time it is used and for faults during operation
Safety
- Only use the electric kettle when supervised.
• Supervise children particularly carefully! - Packaging materials, e.g. Plastic bags, should be accessible to children.
• Before starting the appliance ensure that the mains cord and plug are dry - Never use the kettle with wet hands.
- Never use the kettle outdoors.
- Keep appliance at least 4 inches away from the walls or other objects during operation. Do not place any objects on top of appliance while it is operating. Place the appliance on a surface that is resistant to heat.
- Whilst using the kettle, high temperature is reached which can cause scalding if the kettle is not handled carefully. Therefore only hold the appliance by the handle (G) provided.
- Do not use the kettle unsupervised. Do not place or use the kettle on hot surfaces or near naked flames.
- Always pour water into kettle before plugged in and heating up the appliance. Never pour water into heated kettle.
- Be sure kettle is filled with water to at least 0.75L. Do not operate appliance without water or with an insufficient amount of water.
- Attention: if the kettle is overfilled, there is risk that the kettle above the maximum marking.
THE AUTOMATIC SWITCH OFF
The kettle will switch off automatically and the power indicator light (E) will go out when the water has boiled or the kettle is removed from the base.
If you want to stop the heating process before the kettle automatically switches off, simply press the ON/OFF switch (F) down again.
When the water has boiled the kettle will switch off automatically. If the kettle is only filled with a little water, it takes longer to switch off.
USING YOUR KETTLE
Before using your kettle, you should wipe it inside and outside with a damp cloth due to hygienic reasons.
Initial use
- Place the base unit on a firm surface. The base unit must be dry before us.
- If the mains cord is longer than necessary it can be wound up at the bottom of the base unit.
- Open the lid.
- Fill with at least sufficient water, but not higher than the MAX mark.
- Close the lid until it engages. The automatic switches off can only function reliably if this is done. Wipe excess water off the kettle.
- Place the kettle onto the base in any position you wish.
- Plug the mains plug into a wall socket.
- Press the ON/OFF switch down to the ON position, the power indicator light lights up and the kettle starts to heat up.
- The ON/OFF switch only catches when the kettle is on the base unit.
- Do not use the water from the first boiling cycle to prepare food.
- Be careful not to spill any water onto the base unit.
- To reheat water, check the water level to ensure it is above the 0.75L water level. If necessary, add more water, then place kettle back onto base unit. Press ON/OFF switches down, into the ON position. You can switch it to OFF position when the temperature reaches your desire through the temperature dia.
- When refilling, take care when lifting the lid, as the kettle, if hot, may be full of steam, and keep your face, hands, etc. clear of the opening.
CLEANING AND CARE
- Always disconnect the kettle from the mains supply before cleaning. Allow the kettle to cool before cleaning.
- Never clean the kettle and base unit under running water or immerse it in washing-up water.
- Occasionally rinse out inside of the kettle with clean water.
- Clean the outside of the appliance only using a damp cloth. Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleansing agents.
