How to set the time on the Hama 00186356 thermometer?

Press the MODE button once in time mode to select the 12/24 h format. Use the ▲/▼ buttons to choose. Press SET, then set the hours and minutes with ▲/▼. Press SET several times to set the year, month and day. Finally, press MODE 4 times to return to the time display.

How to set the alarm?

In time mode, press MODE twice or ALARM once. Press SET, set the hour and minutes with ▲/▼, then choose a melody (1 to 9) with ▲/▼. Press MODE three times to save. To enable/disable, press ALARM then SET five times to display '--'.

How to use the snooze function?

When the alarm sounds, press any button to stop it and start snooze. If the function is enabled, the alarm sounds again after a few minutes. To enable/disable snooze, press ▲ in active alarm mode.

How to set a birthday reminder?

In time mode, press MODE three times to access the setting. Use SET and ▲/▼ to set the day, month, year, hour and seconds. Press SET to save. A fixed birthday melody will sound at the programmed date and time.

How to use the timer (countdown)?

In time mode, press MODE four times. Set the hours and minutes with SET and ▲/▼. Press SET once to start the countdown. An alarm sounds at the end. You can stop it by pressing ALARM.

How to change the temperature unit (°C/°F)?

In time mode, press SET once to switch from °C to °F or vice versa.

How to enable or disable the music function?

In time mode, press the ▼ button to start playback (music symbol displayed). Press ▼ again to stop it.

How to replace the thermometer battery?

Push the thermometer upwards to detach it from the pen holder. Open the battery compartment (screw), remove the old battery and insert a CR2025 button cell respecting polarity. Close and reassemble the thermometer.

What to do if the screen shows nothing?

Check that the battery is correctly installed (polarity) and not depleted. If the problem persists, remove and reinsert the battery after a few seconds or replace it.

How to clean the thermometer?

Use a soft lint-free cloth slightly dampened. Do not use harsh detergents. Avoid moisture entering the device.

5.1 Changing the battery

• Pushtheintegratedthermometergentlyupwards sothatitisreleasedfromthepinholder.(Fig.1)
• Openthebatterycompartmentcover(7)by looseningthescrew.Ifnecessary,removethe spentbatteryandinsertanewCR2025button cell,checkingthecorrectpolarity.
• Closethebatterycompartmentbyscrewingthe screwbackinandpushthethermometerback intothepinholder.

5.2 Setting12h/24hFormat, theTime, and theDate

• Innormtimemode, presstheMODEbutton oncertoswitchbetween12hand24hformat.
• Use the and buttons to select the format youwanttouse.

• ThenpresstheSETbuttonosetthetimeusing the and buttons. The timeissetbeginning with the hourintheformatthat was previously selected, 12 or 24 hour time. The hourflashesinthedisplay.
