Read all instructions before first use.
To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the mains cord, the plug, or the motor housing in water or any other liquid.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is operated near or by children.
Unplug the unit from the outlet when not in use, assembling and disassembling, and before cleaning, make sure the motor stops completely before disassembling.
Make sure the supply power is the same as indicated on the rating plate.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or if the appliance malfunctions or is damaged in any manner.
This appliance is intended for household use only. Do not use outdoors.8. Do not allow the cord to hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
Do not place the unit on or near a hot gas or electric burner or a heated oven.
Do not use the appliance for other than its intended use.
Never touch hot parts.
The use of accessories not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire electrical shock, or injury.
Never turn the power on unless the appliance is fully and properly assembled.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be placed by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

in bed and breakfast type environments.Save these instructions Introduction This rice cooker provides a simple, trouble-free method for cooking perfectly rice. The Warm-function automatically keeps the rice warm, fluffy and ready to serve for several hours. The large capacity of the rice cooker makes it possible to prepare rice economically for a family, for a party and for a bulk cooking for the freezer. Before first use Wash the bowl, the lid the measuring cup and spatula in the warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Wipe the base with a clean, damp cloth. Dry thoroughly. Do not use harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners on any part of the appliance. Never immerse the base in water or any other liquid. How to cook the rice Before each use, make sure that the outside of the rice bowl is clean and dry and that the heat sensor in the centre, on the inside of the base, is clean, dry and cool. Handle the rice bowl carefully; scratching or denting the bowl may result in unsatisfactorily performance. Note: There are different opinions about whether the rice should be washed before cooking or not. Those in favour argue that this washes away the starch content and ensures non-sticky grains. Those against, feel valuable soluble vitamins and minerals are lost. Drier, fluffier rice is obtained by washing before cooking.
- Measure rice and water and place evenly into the rice bowl. (See Rice cooking chart) Never put any liquid into the base.
- Place the rice bowl into the base and make sure that the bowl is properly sat unto the base. Close by placing the lid.
- Plug cord into a 220-240V AC outlet. Depress the switch and the red light will glow. Cook switch will not stay down unless the rice bowl is placed in the right way: this is a safety feature of this rice cooker.
- Wait 20 minutes for the rice to finish cooking. Fluff the rice with the spatula.
- Unplug the rice cooker before removing the lid and rice bowl from the base.
- If the rice is to be kept warm, leave the rice cooker plugged-in and reposition the lid after fluffing.
- If using unwashed rice, a thin layer of starch may form at the bottom of the rice bowl: this is quite normal and can be mixed in with the rice when fluffing as it does not affect the taste or texture. Hints If other ingredients were added to the rice, the keep warm-cycle should be on for less than one hour; to avoid loss of flavour. Care and cleaning After each use the rice bowl, the lid, the measuring cup and the spatula should be washed in warm, soapy water. Do not use harsh detergents, abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads. Rinse and dry carefully. If rice has been cooked onto the bottom of the bowl, fill the bowl with hot, soapy water and let stand for about 10 minutes. Wipe the base with a clean, damp cloth and dry. To reduce the risk of electric shock only cook in the removable container. If water should accidentally enter the switch mechanism or spill onto the heating plate, carefully unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Allow to dry thoroughly before using the appliance again.All repairs should be executed by an official service center. THIS APPLIANCE IS ONLY FOR DOMESTIC USE
