When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the points listed below:
This appliance can be used by children over 8 years old and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or with a lack of experience or knowledge if they have been given supervision or instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance and the risks involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised.
Never leave the appliance and its cord unsupervised and within reach of children less than 8 years old or irresponsible persons, especially when it is plugged into the wall or when it is cooling down.
Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the appliance.
Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use or when plugged to the electric network.
From time to time check the appliance for damages and should it be damaged, have it checked by a competent qualified electrician.
If the adapter's cord is damaged, it cannot be repaired
but the complete adapter must be replaced by an identical adapter or an adapter similar to the original one and showing the same characteristics. This replacement
should be done by a competent qualified electrician in order to avoid all danger.
The vacuum cleaner can only be used with the ZD12D270050EU charger provided.
Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in these instructions.
Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever. Otherwise the appliance may be damaged.
Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.
Unplug the appliance before cleaning it.
Never use the appliance with its adapter outside and always place it in a dry environment.
Never use accessories or an adapter that are not recommended by the producer (see characteristics of the adapter). They could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance.
Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way.
Do not use the cord to hang your appliance.
Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.
Never use the appliance to vacuum matches, pointed objects, cigarettes, butts or other glowing things.
Do not use it on wet surfaces or surfaces covered with cement or other substances that are too fine or even toxic when inhaled.
Never vacuum any kind of liquid with this appliance, particularly flammable liquids.
Make sure not to point the vacuum cleaner at persons or animals, and especially stay clear of eyes and ears. If you use the appliance with a full dust container or saturated filters, the appliance might get damaged. Make sure to check the good quality and placement of the dust container and/or filters.
If your appliance no longer vacuums correctly or if the dust container is full, clean the filters and empty the dust container in order to prevent the appliance from overheating.
Never replace the batteries yourself. If the batteries have to be replaced, please contact a competent qualified electrician.
When you decide to throw away the appliance, make sure to remove the batteries and to dispose of them in an ecological manner by handing them in at a place destined to this end.
Always unplug the appliance before removing the batteries.
If liquid coming out of the batteries comes in contact with clothes or with skin, immediately clean the polluted surface with clear water and consult a doctor. If the appliance contains rechargeable batteries, do not replace them with ordinary batteries.
Competent qualified electrician: after-sales department of the producer or importer or any person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger.
In case of need you should return the appliance to this electrician using the appliance when not all the filters are installed properly and in good shape might damage the appliance. No guarantee claims will be accepted for damages due to that reason.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ADAPTER
Your appliance is delivered with an adaptor, and if you have to replace it, we advise you to call in the nearest customer service or, in case of emergency, to pay attention to the following characteristics:
- Voltage: make sure to respect the voltage of the country you are using the appliance in.
- Voltage supplied: 22.2V ---
- Current intensity: 2200mAh

CHARGING THE VACUUM CLEANER
The adaptor should only be connected to a 230V, 50Hz power supply.
Important: The charger and its cord cannot be repaired. Should they be damaged, they must be thrown out. Contact the customer service to replace them.
Make sure the "jack" plug enters the appliance in the opening foreseen in the back of the appliance. Insert the plug of the adapter into a 230V wall socket. The charging indicator will come on, indicating that the charging process will start. The charging indicator will stay illuminated even if the battery is fully charged.
You can leave your appliance on the charging base for a long time without any risk of deterioration. Do not charge the battery if the room temperature falls below 0°C or rises to more than 37°C. The charger will warm
up during use. This is perfectly normal. It will cool down as soon as the charging process is over. ASSEMBLING THE VACUUM CLEANER
Remove the packaging from the appliance and its attachments. Your appliance contains following attachments:

Close-up of a metallic mechanical component with no visible text or symbolsThe dust collector always has to be attached to the motor unit before using the appliance. If the dust collector is not mounted, attach it to the motor unit and make sure it fits into place.
You can use the vacuum cleaner in two ways:
1) You can use the appliance without stick as handheld vacuum cleaner.
2) Attach the stick to the body of the appliance until it clicks into place. Then you can use the appliance as a stick vacuum cleaner.
Attach the desired suction tool (floor brush, small upholstery brush or crevice tool) to the suction opening of the dust collector if necessary.

Use of mop and water tank
Mount the water tank and fix the cloth.
Open the lid of the water tank, fill it with water, make sure to close it after filling water.
On the other hand, the button OPEN/CLOSE (OUVRIR/FERMER) can be used to moisten the cloth
(OPEN) or to stop humidification (CLOSE).
Use the device normally to vacuum and clean the floor.

Once your appliance is fully charged, remove it from the charging base by holding it by its handle.
Switch it on by pressing the ON/OFF switch. When you are finished, press the ON/OFF switch again to switch off the appliance.
By pressing the electronic power regulator, the suction power can be adjusted when using the appliance as a stick vacuum cleaner. Use a low suction power for furniture and other delicate surfaces and use high suction power for fitted carpet and other floors.
The floor brush can be used for daily cleaning of large surfaces, hard floors or fitted carpet.
To clean surfaces that are difficult to reach, use the crevice tool supplied. The crevice tool can also be used for mattresses, couches, curtains or wallpaper.
The small upholstery brush is useful to clean delicate surfaces or tissues without scratching them.
AFTER USE
If necessary, disassemble the stick and the suction tool used.
After use we advise you to empty the dust collector to avoid smells and mildew that could be caused by damp dust particles that may have been vacuumed, and also to guarantee an optimal efficiency during the next use. To do so, see below.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Never use the appliance to vacuum hot, glowing objects such as cigarettes, matches etc. or sharp objects that could damage the filter.
Only use the appliance with the charger supplied.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Cleaning the filter and the dust collector is extremely important as it allows the optimal use of your appliance and eliminates the unpleasantness due to bad smells that can occur after having vacuumed liquids or humid particles.
Remove the dust collector by pressing the release button situated on top of the appliance and turning the dust collector. We advise you to do this over a dust bin.

Empty the dust compartment and clean it with soapy water if necessary.
To clean the filter you can detach it from its holder and gently knock the dust off over a dustbin. You can then take the filter and clean it in soapsuds if necessary. If you use soapsuds, rinse the filter with clear water and let it dry before putting it back into the appliance.
Once the filter is clean and dry, put it back in its holder. Then reinsert the filter and filter holder in the dust collector. The correct position of the filter and filter holder is extremely important, as it guarantees the tightness between the dust compartment and the motor. If the filter is too dirty or damaged, it must be replaced. To do so, please contact the nearest customer service. After having replaced the filter, attach the dust compartment to the motor unit.
To clean the floor brush, slide the rolling brush and remove it. Clean the rolling brush and reinstall it into the floor brush.

Remove the dirt and put the wheels back by pressing them down. Clean and rinse the water tank.
The surface of the motor block and the stick can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth.
REMOVING THE BATTERIES
If the filter is too dirty or damaged, it must be replaced. To do so, please contact the nearest customer service. The batteries must be taken out of the unit when the batteries no longer provide power after charging or when you want to throw away the appliance.
Unplug the appliance, press the battery release button and remove the batteries. Please dispose of your old batteries in an environmentally friendly way.
BE CAREFUL NOT TO TOUCH THE LEAKING LIQUID COMING OUT OF THE BATTERIES.
Wash your hands after having removed the batteries. Make sure that children do not come into contact with the batteries.
Put the used or leaking accumulator in a bag and bring it to a recycling park. For more information, contact your town authorities.
