How to install the SilverCrest SDWZ 1 A1 door and window sensor?

Pull the protective strip from the battery compartment. Choose a position with a maximum gap of 15 mm between the magnet and the sensor. Clean the surface, remove the protective film from the adhesives, and attach the magnet to the moving part (door/window) and the sensor to the frame.

How to pair the sensor with the Lidl Home app?

Make sure the smart home gateway is installed and configured. Open the Lidl Home app, select the 'Sensors' category, then 'Door + Window Sensor (ZigBee)'. Follow the instructions: insert a metal rod into the hole for 5 seconds until the LED flashes green quickly. Complete pairing by naming the product and selecting a room.

What to do if the LED does not flash during setup?

Check that the batteries are inserted correctly and the protective strip has been removed. If the problem persists, press the reset button with a metal rod for 5 seconds. The LED should then flash green. If nothing happens, replace the batteries.

What is the battery life of the sensor?

The battery life is approximately 12 months, based on 60 openings/closings per day. Actual usage may vary. The Lidl Home app will notify you when the batteries are low.

What is the range of the sensor?

The transmission range is approximately 70 meters in open field (without obstacles). In a house, the range may be reduced by walls and partitions.

Does the sensor work without a gateway?

No, a smart home gateway (reference IAN 341809_1910) is required to connect the sensor to your Wi-Fi network and the Lidl Home app.

Can I use multiple sensors in the same house?

Yes, you can add as many sensors as you want. Each sensor must be paired individually via the Lidl Home app and can be assigned to a different room.

How to reset the sensor?

To reset the sensor, insert a metal rod (e.g., a paperclip) into the reset hole for about 5 seconds. The green LED will flash quickly, indicating the sensor is ready for new pairing.

Is the sensor waterproof?

The sensor has an IP21 protection rating, meaning it is protected against vertically dripping water. It should not be installed outdoors or in very humid areas.

What type of batteries to use and how to replace them?

Use two AAA 1.5 V batteries. Open the battery compartment by sliding the cover. Remove the old batteries and insert new ones, respecting polarity. Close the compartment.

This product is used for the surveillance of windows and doors. The product registers when a window or door is opened. The product transmits this information to your mobile device.

Preparation

- Install Lidl Home app and setup Gateway (→Gateway instruction manual).

1. Pull protective strip 4 out of battery compartment 7.

2. Open Lidl Home app.

3. Home tab:

Tap + (add further devices)

1. Select category Sensors.

2. Tap Door Window Sensor (ZigBee)

3. Select Gateway.

Only necessary, if you have 2 or more gateways.

   OK
2. Push metal pin 5 into pin hole 9 for 5 s until green LED 2 flashes quickly (fig. B).
3. Tap Connect
4. Establishing connection.
5. Tap and enter name.
6. Tap one of the rooms to set location of product (selected room is grayed out).
7. Tap Done
8. Pairing completed.

● Unpairing product from mobile device

1. Open Lidl Home app.
2. Home tab:

Tap Door Window Sensor.

3. Tap Confirm.

Mounting

1. Pull protective strip 4 out of battery compartment 7.
2. Select position with max. 15 mm distance between magnet 8 and sensor 1.

Mounting surface must be even, clean and dry.
3. Remove protective film from back of magnet 8 and sensor 1.
4. Mount:

• Magnet8 on door/window
• Sensor1 on frame
