Installation

Notes:

• HDD/SSD drives are sensitive to static electricity and must be handled properly, so as not to risk data loss. Always handle your HDD/SSD drive with caution by wearing an anti-static strap (Such as Tripp Lite P999-000) when transporting it, or by touching a grounded metal surface to discharge yourself of static electricity prior to picking up the drive.
• When disconnecting the drive, go through your operating system's disconnection steps to safely disconnect. Removing the drive prior to proper disconnection can result in loss or corruption of data stored on the drive.

• If your SATA drive has not been formatted yet, you must first format it using your computer's disk management utility in order to copy and access files.

• Remove the USB to SATA connector piece from the front end of the enclosure.

• Connect your 2.5" HDD/SSD to the SATA connector on the USB to SATA connector piece.
• Insert the USB to SATA connector piece with installed HDD/SSD drive back into the unit, being sure to match up the drive installation holes on the side of the unit.
• Using the included screwdriver and screws, affix the screws into place on the side of the unit so the SATA connector end is firmly in place.
• Connect the included USB 3.1 Cable between the USB Micro-B port on the unit and the USB port on your computer.
• Your enclosure is now ready to use. The blue LED will blink to indicate power and data access.
