What type of battery is used and how to charge it?

The camera uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery (model DMW-BLH7 for example). Charge it with the supplied charger. Refer to the instruction manual for details.

How to insert a memory card?

Open the memory card compartment cover on the bottom of the camera. Insert the card (SD/SDHC/SDXC) in the indicated direction until it clicks.

How to switch to manual focus (MF)?

Use the [AF/MF] switch on the lens. Set it to [MF] to activate manual focus. You can also adjust the focus mode in the camera menu.

How to install the supplied lens hood?

First remove the lens cap. Turn the decorative ring in the direction of the arrow to remove it. Align the mounting notch of the lens hood with the mark on the lens, then turn until it clicks. Refer to the manual for details.

How to adjust the aperture manually?

Turn the aperture ring on the lens. In Aperture Priority (A) or Manual (M) mode, the aperture value is controlled by the ring. If the ring is set to [A], the camera manages the aperture automatically.

What is the flash range?

The approximate range of the built-in flash is 0.5 m to 9.4 m when ISO setting is [ISO AUTO].

How many photos can be taken with a full charge?

According to CIPA standard, approximately 240 photos can be taken with the H-X015 lens. Video recording time is approximately 90 minutes in AVCHD or MP4.

Is this lens stabilized?

No, the H-X015 lens (LEICA DG SUMMILUX 15 mm/F1.7) does not have optical image stabilization. Use a tripod or enable in-body stabilization (if available) to reduce motion blur.

What is the minimum focusing distance?

• If you set the camera to Aperture-Priority AE Mode or Manual Exposure Mode, the aperture value of the ring will be enabled.

• When the aperture ring is enabled, check if the aperture value has changed after attaching or removing the decoration ring.

Attaching the Lens Hood

Interchangeable Lens (H-X015)

• Before attaching the lens hood, make sure to remove the lens cap. The lens hood cannot be attached unless you remove the lens cap.

1 Rotate the decoration ring in the direction of the arrow to remove it.

2 Align the mounting index on the lens hood with the mark on the tip of the lens.
3 Rotate the lens hood in the direction of the arrow until it clicks into place, and align the stop position ⑥ on the lens hood with the index on the tip of the lens.

■ Attaching the decoration ring

• Before attaching the decoration ring, make sure to remove the lens cap.
  1 Align the mounting position ① on the decoration ring with a position approximately 90^ away from the lens fitting mark E to fit the decoration ring into place.
  2 Rotate the decoration ring in the direction of the arrow to align the mounting position ① on the decoration ring with the lens fitting mark E.
