How to pair the keyboard with the Link-5 receiver?
Place the keyboard within 30 cm of the Link-5 receiver, press the pairing button under the keyboard (the LED starts blinking), then press any key on the keyboard. The LED stops blinking after 2 seconds when pairing is complete.
What to do if the action keys (volume, share) do not work?
Make sure the HP keyboard software is installed (download from www.hp.com/support). Check that Skype for Business or Lync is installed and configured. The fn-lock switch must be enabled for action keys. Otherwise, press the action key and the Fn key simultaneously.
How to use collaboration functions (Skype for Business)?
Skype for Business or Lync subscription required. If the application is not installed, the keys open your contacts or Outlook calendar. The LEDs indicate call status (green flashing for incoming call, solid for active).
The LEDs do not light up, what to do?
Check that the keyboard is turned on (power switch in ON position). If batteries are low, replace them. The battery LED flashes orange when battery is low.
Screen sharing issue: the LED does not light up?
The screen sharing LED lights up only when the recipient has accepted your sharing request. Make sure you are in an audio or video call with the recipient and that screen sharing is supported.
Battery drains quickly?
Use quality batteries. Avoid leaving the keyboard on unnecessarily. Slow blinking white LED indicates charging (if rechargeable batteries). For standard batteries, replace when low.
How to enable/disable Fn lock?
Use the fn-lock switch located on the keyboard. In enabled position, press an action key directly to use it. In disabled position, press the action key + Fn key to perform the action.
Can I use this keyboard with another USB receiver?
No, the keyboard is designed to work only with the provided HP Link-5 receiver. Older versions of Link-5 receivers are not compatible. You can pair up to 5 compatible HP devices on the same receiver.
How to reset the keyboard?
Remove the batteries, wait 10 seconds, then reinsert them. Turn on the keyboard and re-pair with the receiver if necessary.
What to do if the keyboard does not turn on?
