I. Mayonaise recipient
Congratulations! You have just bought a high quality product, which will warranty you years of pleasure. Please read the instruction manual carefully before you take the product into use. Save these instructions carefully! All persons who have not read the instruction manual are not allowed to use this product. Pay ATTENTION to the warranty conditions. Please note: these instructions for use apply to the FRITEL HB 2870 in combination with the accessory set. The HB 2870 itself is not included in this package.
1. SAFETY REGULATIONS
This appliance has been built in accordance with the European CE safety standards and is compliant with the general recognized standards and prescriptions with regard to the safety of appliances. As for all electrical appliances, the necessary precautions need to be taken in order to avoid accidents or damages. - This appliance may not be used by children from 0 to 8 years old. This appliance may be used by children of min. 8 years old, only under continuous supervision. This appliance may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge provided they are supervised or instructed to use the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years. Cleaning and user maintenance shall NOT be made by children. - The appliance is only intended for household use and similar applications, excluding: staff kitchens in shops, offices and other work environments; farms; clients in hotels, motels and other residential environments; bed & breakfast environments. - This appliance can only be used in-house and is meant for household use. - NEVER touch the control button, electrical power cord and plug with wet hands. NEVER immerse the appliance, the power cord or the plug in water (or any other liquid). They are only to be cleaned with a damp cloth. In case the appliance does get wet or moist, immediately disconnect the plug from the power socket. - A damaged power cord can cause electric shocks. NEVER use the appliance if it is damaged, fallen or shows a malfunction, or if the power cord or plug are damaged. In all these cases return the appliance to your sales point or recognized after sales service. - After use, immediately turn off the appliance and wait until the motor has completely stopped. Then remove the plug from the socket. Also remove the plug when not in use, when cleaning and when you move it. - NEVER use separate timers or remote control systems. - Only use this appliance for what it is intended, namely for mixing or blending food, such as dips, sauces, soups, mayonnaise, babyfood, milkshakes, … - Only use the appliance with the correct mains voltage, as mentioned on the rating plate.14
- ATTENTION: the knives are very sharp! - NEVER touch the knife with your hands. - NEVER leave the appliance unattended when plugged in. - NEVER use extension cords and ALWAYS unroll the cord completely - NEVER use the appliance in the proximity of sharp sources or sources of heat, such as ovens, stoves, heatings… - NEVER let the cord hang over the side of the table. - NEVER use accessories from other appliances. - Always make sure to assemble the appliance correctly for your own safety. - Always place the appliance on a stable surface, like a kitchen table so that the appliance cannot shift or fall. - NEVER pull the cord to unplug the appliance, only use the plug. - NEVER open the appliance and NEVER put strange objects in the appliance. - Do not use aggressive cleaning products. - If the appliance doesn’t work, please return it to your point of sales. Repairs can only be done by and recognized repair shop.
2. TECHNICAL INFORMATION
- You will find the technical information on the rating label at the bottom of the appliance. - Use the appliance for a maximum time of 10 minutes at the time.
3. BEFORE THE FIRST USE
- Remove all packaging and stickers. - Keep packaging away from children. - First check your appliances for possible damages. If it is damaged, do NOT use the appliance but bring it back to your sales point. - Before the first use we recommend to clean all components thoroughly (see 5. ‘Cleaning’). - All parts should be dry! - Ensure that the voltage marked on the appliance is the same as your main voltage. According to the safety law: only use earthed sockets.
4. USE OF THE HAND BLENDER
- Use the FRITEL Hand Blender to prepare sauces, soups, purees, mayonnaise, babyfood… - The appliance is not meant to be used for blending hard objects such as wood, bones, cans, or other non-food items. - Only use the appliance for soft ingredients and do not let the hand blender work for more than 1 minute at a time. Let the appliance rest for 1 minute, and then let it work again for 1 minute. - Do not let the appliance blend without being in contact with food. - Do not shake the appliance while it is in use. - Very user friendly: click the mixing bar onto the motor base so that it is fixed. Plunge the mixing bar in the bowl, cup, kettle, and press button I or II. - When ready, unplug the appliance, press the unlocking button to release the mixing bar from the motor base.15
- FRITEL’s whisk set is suited for whipping up cream, egg white, mixing dough and ready-mix desserts. - Click the whisk set onto the motor block so that they are fixed. - Put the ingredients in the recipient or in a bowl. - Place the handblender with whisk set in the recipient or bowl and press button II or press button I at the same time to start the appliance. - Remove the whisk set from the motor block by pressing the release buttons.
- FRITEL’s chopper is suited for food such as meat, cheese, onion, herbs, garlic, carrots, nuts, … - Do not use very hard ingredients such as ice cubes, nutmeg, coffee beans, grains, … - Before the first use, remove the plastic foil from the blade. Attention: the blade is very sharp, only touch it by the upper plastic part. - Place the blade on the central pin in the chopper to fix it. Always place the chopper on the non-skid feet. - Add the ingredients to the chopper and close off with the plastic lid. - Place the motor block on the chopper and make sure it is well fixed. - Press the command button to start the chopper. During operation, hold one hand around the motor block and one hand on the chopper.16
- After use, click on the release buttons to remove the chopper from the motor block. - Then remove the lid from the chopper and carefully remove the blade. Attention: Only touch the blade by the plastic part. - Then remove the chopped ingredients from the chopper.
- Switch off the appliance and remove the plug from the socket. - Clean the motor unit with a damp cloth, NEVER immerse it in water. - The motor unit and the parts E, F and K are NOT dishwasher proof. - Parts G, H, I and J can be washed in the dishwasher. - Careful: the knifes are very sharp. - NEVER use the mayonaise recipient or the chopper for freezing, cooking or sterilising food.
The legal guarantee runs from the date of purchase. The proof of purchase determines the date of purchase. The duration and conditions of the guarantee depend on the national legislation of the country of purchase. If you have a defective appliance, contact your seller with your proof of purchase. The user is responsible for cleaning and properly packaging the defective appliance before presenting it for repair. It is not sufficient to wrap the appliance in cardboard packaging with paper. FRITEL is not responsible for damage resulting from insufficient packaging, this also irrevocably voids the warranty.17
Provisions of the guarantee: The warranty covers the repairs and/or free replacement of parts deemed defective by our technical services and where the defect is due to material, construction or manufacturing defects. The warranty does not cover damage or wear and tear to the plates. The guarantee is only valid for the first user. For 2nd-hand appliances, the seller is the sole point of contact. Shipping costs there and back, in case of repair, are always at the buyer's expense. The guarantee is only granted upon presentation of the original purchase invoice (no copy). The guarantee cannot be invoked for normal wear and tear. The guarantee lapses automatically in the following cases: In case of wrong connection, e.g. too high electrical voltage. In case of wrong, improper, professional or abnormal use. In case of insufficient or incorrect maintenance. In case of insufficient packaging and poor transport in case of return shipment. In case of repair or modification by NON-authorised third parties. In case of removal and/or alteration of identification numbers. In case of defects not due to the appliance itself, but due to an external cause, such as a fall, collision, damage, fire, earthquake, flood, lightning,... In case of non-compliance with the instructions in the user manual. For appliances not covered by warranty for any of the above reasons, all costs (transport, administration, examination and handling) will be charged. 9. PRACTICAL TIPS IN CASE OF MALFUNCTIONS
Do not use the appliance in case of a malfunction or when the power cord is damaged. Please address to your sales point. THE APPLIANCE HAS BEEN DESIGNED FOR DOMESTIC USE. THE WARRANTY CONDITIONS EXPIRE UPON PROFESSIONAL USE. DEFECTS AND/OF DAMAGES FOLLOWING TO THE NON OBSERVANCE OF THE USER MANUAL ARE NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY. We are entitled to make technical modifications at all times.
Do not throw the appliance away with the normal household waste at the end of its life, but hand it in at an official collection point for recycling. By doing this you will help to preserve the environment.
All liabilities, towards both consumer(s) and third parties, that could result from not observing all the safety regulations prescribed in this user manual, can under no circumstances be charged to the manufacturer. In case of non-observance of these safety regulations, the user of the appliance, or any other person not having observed these safety regulations, protects the manufacturer from all responsibilities that he could be charged with.
