Intended Use
This appliance is designed to:
- mix liquids
- chop medium-hard foods
- crush ice
Only process hard foods such as nuts or chocolate with liquids.
It is intended for use in the home and similar applications.
It may only be used in the manner described in these instruction manual. You may not use the appliance for commercial purposes.
Any other use is considered improper and can result in property damage or even personal injury.
The manufacturer assumes no liability for damage caused by improper use.
Unpacking the Appliance
- Remove the appliance from its packaging.
- Remove all packaging material, such as foils, filling material, cable ties and cardboard packaging.
- Check the scope of delivery for completeness.
- If the contents of the packaging are incomplete or if damage can be detected, do not operate the appliance. Return it to the dealer immediately.
- There may still be dust or production residues on the appliance. We recommend that you clean the appliance as described under "Cleaning".

Warnings for the Use of the Appliance

WARNING: Risk of Injury!
- The blades of the knives are sharp! Handle the knives with the necessary care! Special care must be taken when emptying and cleaning.
- Do not reach into the blender jug during operation! Risk of injury from the rotating blades!
- Do not tamper with the safety switches!
- During operation, no objects such as spoons or scrapers should be left in the blender jug.

Do not pour any liquids above 60^ into the blender jug. Risk of burns!

Do not carry or lift the appliance during operation. Switch off the appliance and unplug the power plug from the socket before moving it. Always carry the appliance with both hands on the base unit.
- Do not operate the appliance with an empty blender jug.
- Only operate the appliance under supervision.
- Do not operate the appliance for more than 2 minutes. Allow the appliance to cool down for approx. 1 minute before using it again.
Assembly
Blender Jug
- Place the blender jug on the motor housing so that the handle is on the right-hand side. Note the recesses on the motor housing.
- Turn the blender jug clockwise onto the motor housing with a short twist.

Lid
- Place the lid slightly offset on the blender jug. Note the latches on the blender jug.

Turn the lid clockwise until it clicks into place on the blender jug.

The lid must engage audibly to activate the safety switch.

- Insert the closure into the refill opening of the lid.
- The closure can also be used as a measuring jug.
Notes for Use
- The appliance is equipped with a safety switch. It prevents the appliance from being put into operation without the blender jug in place and the lid closed.
- Place the appliance on a firm and level surface. Position it so that it cannot tip over.
- Only switch the appliance on when the blender jug is closed with the lid. The refill opening in the lid must also be closed.
- Do not overfill the blender jug! A maximum of 1.5 litres can be filled. Observe the scale on the blender jug.
- Foam requires a lot of volume. Reduce the filling quantity for highly foaming liquids.
- Hold one hand on the lid when crushing ice or when filling large quantities.
- Cut the mixture into small pieces beforehand
Short-term Operation
The appliance is suitable for short-term operation for a maximum of 2 minutes. Allow it to cool down for at least 1 minute before using it again!
Pulse Mode
Pulse mode is achieved by turning the step switch to the P position and releasing it again. Use the appliance in this mode for a maximum of 2 minutes. Allow it to cool down for at least 1 minute before using it again!
Chopping Ice Cubes
The blades in the blender jug are also suitable for crushing ice cubes.
- Fill a maximum of 10 pieces (size approx. 25 × 25 × 25 mm ) into the blender jug.
- Use pulse mode P for 1 - 3 seconds. Repeat the process 8 to 12 times.
- When adding liquid, you can use level 2 for 1 - 2 minutes.
Electrical Connection
- Before you insert the plug into the socket, check whether the mains voltage you want to use matches that of the appliance. You will find the relevant information on the rating plate.
- Only connect the appliance to a properly installed earthed socket.
Operation
Preparation
- Ensure that the level switch is set to 0.
- Place the blender jug on top.
- Place the blending ingredients in the blender jug.
- Put the lid on.
- Close the refill opening with the closure.
Mixing
Operate with the level switch:

Refilling the Blender Jug
You can refill the blender jug with food or spices through the refill opening.
- Switch the appliance off previously.
- Before switching the appliance back on, close the refill opening again.
Ending Operation
- Turn the level switch to the 0 position.
- Wait until the blade has come to a standstill.
- Disconnect the mains plug from the socket.
- Remove the blender jug. Unscrew it anti-clockwise.

Remove the lid for pouring.

Important note:
Never store citrus juices or acidic foods in metal containers.
Cleaning

WARNING:
- Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning.
- Never immerse the appliance in water to clean it. This could cause an electric shock or fire.
- The knives on the knife block are very sharp. There is a risk of injury!

CAUTION:
- Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive objects.
- Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents.
- The individual parts are not suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher.
Pre-cleaning:
Fill the blender jug halfway with water and turn the switch to "P" for approx. 10 seconds. Then pour out the liquid.
- Remove the blender jug for thorough cleaning.
Removing and Installing the Knife Block
- Turn the blender jug upside down.
- With a little force, turn the closure anti-clockwise and loosen the knife block.
- Carefully remove the knife block from the blender jug.
- Remove the sealing ring for cleaning.
- After drying, place the sealing ring back on the knife block.
- Insert the knife block into the thread at the bottom of the blender jug.
- Tighten the closure of the knife block by turning it clockwise.
- Make sure that the knife block is firmly in place.

CAUTION:
Only operate the appliance if you have properly fitted the knife block with sealing ring! Otherwise the blender jug will leak.
Blender Jug, Lid, Knife Block, Sealing Ring and Measuring Cup
Clean these parts in warm washing-up water with a little washing-up liquid added. Allow all parts to dry thoroughly before reassembling them.
Housing
- Only use a moderately damp cloth to clean the outside of the appliance.
- Slight discolouration caused by carrot juice can be removed with oil.
Storage
- Clean the appliance as described. Allow the accessories to dry completely.
We recommend storing the appliance in its original packaging if you do not intend to use it for a longer period of time.
Always store the appliance out of the reach of children in a well-ventilated and dry place.
