Frequently Asked Questions - TOAST 2010 S GUTFELS

How to clean the TOAST 2010 S toaster?
Before any cleaning, unplug the appliance and let it cool completely. Do not use abrasive products. Wipe the exterior with a slightly damp cloth. For crumbs, remove the crumb tray located opposite the lever, empty it, and replace it.
Why does the appliance not turn on?
First check that the plug is correctly inserted into a working socket. Test the socket with another device. Also check the household fuse. If nothing works, contact after-sales service.
Can I toast rolls with this appliance?
Yes, use the provided roll adapter. Do not exceed one roll at a time and set the power level to a maximum of 3. Do not butter or grease the bread, as this can melt and ignite.
How to use the defrost function?
Insert frozen bread into the slots, lower the lever, then press the 'Defrost' button (indicated by an indicator light). The appliance will automatically adjust the toasting time to defrost and toast the bread.
Why does my bread always burn?
The selected power level may be too high. Choose a lower level (1 to 3) for a gentler toasting. If the problem persists, check that the automatic shut-off mechanism works correctly.
How to remove a stuck slice of bread from the toaster?
Immediately unplug the appliance. Let it cool down. Gently turn the toaster upside down to make the slice fall out. If it stays stuck, use a non-conductive object (like wooden tongs) to dislodge it.
Can I use butter or oil on the bread before toasting?
No, never spread butter, grease, or oil on the bread before toasting. The fat can melt, drip into the appliance, and cause a fire. Use the toaster only for dry bread.
How to store the toaster after use?
Let the appliance cool completely. Clean it as directed and dry it well. Wind the cable into the compartment under the appliance. Store it in a dry place, away from dust and out of reach of children.
What is the warranty period for the TOAST 2010 S?
The manufacturer's warranty is 2 years from the date of purchase. For commercial use, it is reduced to 12 months. Manufacturing defects are covered free of charge during the first 6 months; thereafter, proof of a pre-existing defect is required.
Where is the crumb tray located and how to use it?
The crumb tray is located opposite the lever of the appliance. Pull it by the handle to remove it, empty the crumbs, then reinsert it completely. Do not operate the toaster without the tray in place.
