Hersteller + Vertrieb: Hutter Trade GmbH + Co KGBgm.-Landmann-Platz 1-5,D-89312 Günzburg www.hutter-trade.com Game setup Take everything out of the game box, put the game board together and lay it back into the lower half of the box with the spin wheel as shown in the illustration. Before playing for the first time, apply the sticker to the appropriate corner of the plastic insert. Now insert the trees in the game box on the indicated positions bet- ween the game board and the edge of the game box. One place is left unoccupied. Hint: You have two options when inserting the trees: ✶Take a good look at where each tree is placed and try to remember where the treasures are hidden. ✶Do not look while the trees are being placed. Have an adult or someone else set up the trees, so that you don’t know where the treasures are hidden. This will make the search even more exciting!
game board with spin wheelmagic cardstreestreasure tilestreasure boards dice Lisa, Tom, Hannah and Oscar have disco-vered an old book in the attic. The book had belonged to their grandfather, who had used it to write down all the secrets of the forest a long, long time ago. The children leaf through the pages of the book and discover notes about a magnificent treasure belonging to the Object of the game Find the 5 treasures from gnome family, be the first to bring them home safely and win the game. Contents 1 game board with spin wheel50 magic cards10 trees20 treasure tiles 4 treasure boards 4 playing pieces 3 dicegnomes that is said to be hidden through- out the forest! Take on the role of one of the four children and search for the 5 parts of the hidden treasure. But be careful, or Gigi the gnome will cast a spell on you when she finds out that you’re searching for her family’s treasure. An enchanted game for 2 to 4 players ages 5 and up stickerplaying pieces6 Put the treasure tiles and the dice next to the game board. Face down, shuffle the magic cards and put them into a pile where everyone can reach them. Each player takes a treasure board and puts it in front of him on the table. Now everyone picks out a playing piece and puts iton the start space of the game board. Now the game can begin! How to play Each player takes turns in a clockwise direction. The last person to have been in a forest gets to go first. Roll all 3 dice.Do the dice show footprints?Move your playing piece forward as many spaces on the game board as there are footprints on all three dice. You don’t have to move the complete number of spaces forward, you can also move fewer spaces. But you have to move your piece at least one space forward. And you always have to move forward and never backwards. NOTE: Holes and spaces that are already occupied by other players are not counted! They are skipped. On the space that you land on there is a treasure showing. Find this treasure! Pick up one of the trees from the edge of the game box.Does the tree show exactly the same treasure as shown on the space where your piece has landed?Excellent! You’ve found the right treasure. If you don’t already have a tile of this treasure in front of you, you get to take it now and place it on your treasure board. You can have only one tile of each kind of treasure in your collection. If you already have this treasure tile you can release yourself from a gnome spell, should you have one in your collection. Gnome spells will be explained later together with the dust clouds. Simply lay the card with the spell next to the face-down pile of cards. This will be the discard pile. Now put the tree back into the game box, but not on the same positi-on, where you got it from. Put it on the position that was empty at the beginning of your turn. IMPORTANT: The trees’ positions always change whenever the correct treasure has been found.Does the tree (that you have picked up) not show the same treasure as shown on the space where your piece has landed? Too bad! You didn’t find the right treasure. Put the tree back into the game box at the same position, where you got it from. Do the dice show a dust cloud?Have you moved your playing piece or do the dice not show any footprints? Check to see if the dice show any dust clouds. If you haven’t rolled any dust clouds, the next player takes his turn.If you rolled one ore more dust clouds, move the pointer on the spin wheel one point further for each dust cloud. Pay attention to the direction of the arrow. Try to turn the wheel as quickly and smoothly as possible. As soon as at least one playing piece has fallen into a hole, don’t turn the wheel any further. Any dust clouds that may be left over are disregarded. The wheel continues to turn. Each playing piece that is stuck in a hole up to the hat has been caught by Gigi the gnome. That's too bad! Gigi the gnome casts a spell. Players whose playing pieces have fallen into a hole now draw a card from the magic cards pile. The cards show the gnome’s magic spell. start spaceSpace
Were you caught? Show all the other players your card so they know what magic spell you have to carry out. You now have to perform the action shown until you’re able to release yourself from the magic spell, or until a spell has been cast on you again. The others will be happy to look them up for you ...A list of all the different magic spells can be found at the end of these game rules. If you already have a magic card when a magic spell is cast on you, put the old magic card (lying in front of you on the table) on the discard pile and carry out the new magic spell. You can have only one magic card at a time.Take out your playing piece from the hole in the forest floor and put it on the next glade behind the hole along the path. NOTE: The forest glades are only important when moving your pieces backwards. They are not counted when moving forward. Now it’s the next player’s turn. Forest glades:Example: Hannah has been put under a spell. She puts her playing piece onto the next forest glade behind her.Breaking a magic spellIf you find a treasure that you already have, free yourself from the spell and put the card onto the discard pile (see above). You can also break a spell when you hand in a treasure that you have already collected. Since you now no longer have the treasure, you have to collect it again to be able to win the game.Final spaceIf you have made it through the whole forest and land on the start space, you get to stay on this space and pick out a treasure of your choice. If you still haven’t found all five different treasures, you haveto start a new round!End of gameOnce you have collected all five of the different treasures, you have won the game.Magic card descriptionsThere are different types of spells: some of them you always carry out after completing your turn, some you carry out after all moves (which means also after the other players have taken their turn), and some which you carry out all the time. When you have to carry out a spell is indicated by these symbols: This spell you carry out after your own turn. This spell you carry out after every turn. This spell you carry out all the time.
