How to configure my Easy WiFi AC 750 range extender?

Log in to the web interface via http://easywifi.config or IP address 192.168.1.200. Use the default password 12345678. Follow the wizard to choose the range extender mode, scan for networks and enter your Wi-Fi password.

Where to place my range extender for optimal signal?

Place it halfway between your router and the area to cover, in an open location with a signal greater than 60%. Avoid thick walls, metal objects and microwaves.

How to reset the range extender to factory settings?

Hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds using a paperclip. The lights will flash and the device will restart with default settings.

What to do if I cannot connect to the configuration interface?

Check that your computer is connected to the range extender's network (default SSID: easywifi_AC750_2.4G_XXXXXX or easywifi_AC750_5G_XXXXXX). Make sure the IP address is 192.168.1.200 or 192.168.1.1.

How to use the WPS button?

Press the WPS button on your router, then within 2 minutes press the WPS button on the range extender. The connection is established automatically.

Is this range extender compatible with all operators?

Yes, it works with any internet box or router offering a standard Wi-Fi network (802.11b/g/n/ac).

What do the LED indicators mean?

The Power LED indicates power on. The WPS LED flashes during pairing. The Signal LED shows quality (green = good, orange = average, red = weak).

Can I use the range extender in access point mode?

Yes, connect the range extender to your router via an Ethernet cable, then in the interface select Access Point mode. This allows using 100% of the bandwidth.

How to change the Wi-Fi password of the range extender?

Log in to the web interface, go to wireless settings and modify the security key. Remember to note down the new password.

Why is my throughput lower than advertised?

The range extender theoretically halves the throughput in range extender mode. Make sure the source signal is greater than 60% and place the extender in an interference-free area. For maximum throughput, use access point mode via Ethernet cable.

How DOES THE REPEATER WORK?

Is the WiFi signal of your modem too weak in certain rooms in your home? The repeater allows you to relay, and therefore extend the signal of your WiFi base (modem or router) in areas with weak coverage.

The repeater “repeats” an existing WiFi signal to allow you benefit from an extended WiFi network. The repeater uses the same frequency band to receive the WiFi network and emit the repeated network.

Your internet modem emits 100% of the wireless signal on the same frequency band.

How CAN YOU OPTIMISE RECEPTION OF THE SIGNAL?

To optimise the signal emitted by the repeater, it is important that you position it correctly within the coverage area of your internet modem or router:

If you place it too close to your modem, the repeater will not be able to extend your coverage area.
. If you place it too far away, the quality of the repeated signal will be poor.

Repeater ADSL modem or router

The repeater must be placed in an area without any electromagnetic interference, and ideally with the least possible obstacles.

The WiFi coverage of a modem or repeater can significantly be reduced by walls and floors.

Avoid, for example, transmitting through heavy concrete walls, metal objects or having a microwave oven nearby.

How CAN YOU CHECK THE QUALITY OF THE SIGNAL?

A good way to check that you have chosen a good position for the repeater, is to check the signal strength in the settings interface.

To do this, connect to your repeater's interface either through WiFi or as a wired network (Ethernet). Then open your web browser to enter the IP address relevant to your product.

Warning! Check that the signal for your chosen network is above 60%. If not, repeating the network will not ensure a sufficient speed.

Check that the signal you want to amplify is at least 60%. Below this level, the signal strength is too weak to ensure sufficient speed.

If this is the case, move the repeater closer to the modem to improve the signal strength and ensure you are in an open area (without any walls or obstacles) between the repeater and the modem.
