Frequently Asked Questions - IAN 114256 Meradiso

How to inflate the air bed?
Unfold the bed and check for any holes. Open the valve by unscrewing the cap counterclockwise. Use a hand pump (not a compressor) to inflate until the seams are tight. Stop when the measuring band reaches 10 cm in length. Close the valve.
How to know when the pressure is sufficient?
Place a 10 cm minimum ruler against the measuring tape. When the tape reaches 10 cm in length, the nominal pressure is reached. Be careful not to overinflate to avoid damaging the bed.
Can I use a compressor to inflate the bed?
No, never use a compressor. Only use a hand pump or a pump specifically designed for inflatable products. A compressor could overinflate and burst the bed.
What to do if the air bed leaks?
Completely deflate the bed. Clean the damaged area with alcohol, then roughen it with fine sandpaper. Cut a piece from the provided repair patch, larger than the leak, and apply it by pressing firmly. Let dry for 24 hours before reinflating.
How to clean the air bed?
For the flocked surface, brush it with a soft brush. For plastic surfaces, use water or mild soapy water. Do not machine wash the bed and do not use caustic or abrasive products.
Can I use the bed in water as a floating mattress?
No, the bed is not designed as a flotation aid. Do not use it in water and keep it away from moisture.
What are the safety precautions for children?
Never leave children unattended with the bed or its packaging. Risk of suffocation or choking from small parts. Keep children under 3 years old away.
What is the maximum weight capacity?
The maximum weight is 160 kg. Do not exceed this load to avoid injury or damage to the product.
How to store the bed after use?
Ensure the bed is completely dry inside and outside. Deflate by opening the valve, fold it with the flocked surface inside. Store in a dry, heat-protected place, ideally between 10 and 20°C. Close the cap for long-term storage.
What to do if the bed is exposed to extreme temperatures?
In cold weather (below 15°C), air contracts and the bed may lose pressure: add air. In hot weather (above 40°C), air expands: release some air. Do not inflate at extreme temperatures to avoid damaging the material.

- Pumping up the product

Note: Before using the product for the first time, check it carefully for holes, porous places and seams that are not airtight.

Recommendation: Pump the product up and leave it alone for one day. Let a new product air outside in fresh air for a couple of days.

CAUTION! Inflatable plastic products react sensitively to the cold and hot. That is why you should never use the product when the ambient temperature falls to below 15^ and rises above 40^ . Otherwise damage to the product may result.

Note: Basically, only an adult should be responsible for pumping the airbed up. Make sure that you do not pump too much air into the product. On no account should you use a compressor. Stop the process when resistance increases during pumping and the seams start to stretch. Otherwise the material might tear. Only use manual pumps and / or pumps specifically designed for use with inflatable plastic products.

Roll the product out first and then check for holes, tears, and other damage (see. Fig. A).
Turn the cover 2 of the stopper 1 anti-clockwise off the air valve in order to open it (see

Fig. B I).

Pump up the product.

IMPORTANT! Keep in mind that air temperature and weather conditions can affect the air pressure inside inflatable products. In cold weather the product behaves as if it has less air pressure in it because the air inside contracts. Under these conditions you may have to add air. In hot weather the air inside expands. Under these conditions you may have to remove air in order to avoid overfilling.

Hold a ruler line at least 10cm long up to the measuring strip 4. The rated pressure is reached as soon as the measuring strip 4 is 10cm long (see Fig.D). The ruler is not included with the product.
Stop the process as soon as the airbed is fully inflated. If necessary let a little air escape.
Turn the cover 2 of the stopper 1 clockwise onto the air valve to close it.

- Deflating the air mattress

Turn the stopper anti-clockwise to open the air valve (see Fig. B II).
Let all the air out of the product.
Slowly fold up the product (see Fig. A).

Note: Ensure that the product is completely dry before you fold it up.
