  • Remove all packaging material and check whether the appliance is complete.
  • Placetheapplianceonanevenandheatresistantsurface and connect it to a properly installed wall socket.

The integrated indicator light indicates that the appliance is in operation. An integrated mechanism automatically opens the lid for the brewing through function. Note: The brewing process can be interrupted at anytimebypressingtheOn/Offswitch (6). Note: If you wish to have a cup of coffee before the brewing cycle is completed, remove the thermo jug (4) from the appliance. Due to the automatic drip stop, dripping will automaticallycease.Putthethermojug(4)backwithin30 seconds, dripping process will resume automatically. 10.After the brewing cycle is completed (no more water isdrippingthroughthelter),thethermojug(4)canbe removed. Attention: After the brewing cycle is completed, the red indicator light will switch to blue automatically and the appliancewillshut-offwithin5minutes. Note: Neveropentheappliancelid(1)duringoperation –hotwatercouldevaporate–Danger of serious burns! If you wish to prepare more than one pot of coffee, the appliance has to be switched off for approx. 5 minutes, in order to cool down. Always disconnect the appliance from the mains if you are not using it! Thermo jug / brewing through lid Thethermojug(4)accumulatesheatenergy.Therefore,the jugshouldpreferablybelledtoitsmax.capacity. Tip: Before starting the brewing process, rinse your thermo jug(4)withhottapwater.Toobtaintastefulcoffee,brewat leasthalfajugotherwisethetemperaturewillnotbeheldas efficiently. The brewing through lid does not close hermetically. Therefore,alwaysholdthethermojug(4)uprightwhenlled with coffee.22 When serving coffee, simply press down and hold the lever button of the lid and the coffee will be pouring out from the spout. To removethelid,turnitanti-clockwiseuntilitcanbelifted off. To fasten the lid, insert it into the thermo jug and turn it clockwise until it is fixed. The lever button of the lid should pointtowardsthehandleofthejug. Cleaning and Care Before cleaning, always switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains. Let it completely cool down. Never immerse the appliance in water. Danger! Electric Shock! Clean the body of the appliance with a moistened soft cloth. Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents and/or other hardobjectstocleantheappliance. The thermojug (4) and lid arenot dishwasher safe, rinse them under some tap water and dry them thoroughly. DESCALING Depending on the water quality and usage, calcification can occur. Therefore, to keep your coffee maker operating efficiently, you should descale it on a regular basis. Neveruseanysharp,pointedormetalobjectstoremove limescale built up in the appliance. To remove limescale, use a common gentle descaler, which is suitable for your appliance. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions. After descaling, always rinse your appliance as described under Before First Use. Note: Descaler mixtures should not be poured down enamel coated sinks. Storage Disconnect the appliance from the mains and let it completely cool down. Keep the appliance away from children and store it in a clean and dry place.24 Disposal Instructions Waste electrical devices marked with this sign must not be disposed of with your household waste, but are to be collected separately.
