OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Preparation before use
Before first using the hot plates run it at the highest temperature for 3–5 minutes. You will thermally stabilize the surface layer this way. After that never start the hot plate without a cooking vessel.
You will achieve the most effective operation when using cookware with firm flat bottom with diameter 15–17 cm and about 1 l volume (on the smaller plate).
- Clean the hot plate using soft wet cloth. Place it on an even, stable surface close to the electrical outlet.
- Check if the voltage marked on the appliance corresponds to the voltage of your outlet. Before plugging it in, make sure that the thermostat control is in the "MIN" position.
- When cooking, always use pots and pans with flat bottoms that have close contact with the cooking plate. Keep the surface of both hot plates clean and dry.
Operation
Used cookware should not have larger diameter than the diameter of the plate. The cookware used should never extend to the area of control elements.
Using both plates in the same time
Note: Both plates can be used in the same time, but you have to be careful that the dishes do not extend outside of the plates.
- Put food in the pot (the total amount of water and food in the pot should not exceed 80% of the volume of the pot, to prevent overflowing). Cover the pot with a lid and place it on the hot plate.
-
Plug the hot plate in the outlet. The degree of heating can be controlled by turning the thermostat toward the position MIN or MAX. Turn the thermostat control from the "MIN" position to maximum. The control light comes on and the hot plate starts warming up.
-
There are two points, which you have to remember when using new hot plate:
-
When using the new hot plate the first time, the surface can emit odor or smoke. This is normal and it is caused by an invisible layer of protective film applied to the appliance during production.
-
Before the food starts to boil, the control light on the hot plate can go off temporarily because the thermostat temporarily switches off. This safety feature is a normal function of the hot plate.
-
When you finish cooking put the control in the MIN position and always disconnect from power supply. Wait until the appliance cools off before moving it or cleaning it.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Make sure that the power cable is unplugged. Clean the hot plate using gentle detergent or gel cleaner and soft cloth after it thoroughly cools down.
DO NOT CLEAN THE APPLIANCE WHILE IT IS HOT.
-
DO NOT USE hard brushes, abrasives or alcohol, kerosene or other organic cleaners.
-
Do not immerse the hot plate in water while cleaning it.
-
Store the hot plate in a cool place after cleaning.
