MOIST (moist):suitableforsealingwetbagsorbagscontainingmoistfood for which a medium sealing time is required. >> The default setting is DRY

NORMAL (normal):tocreateanormalvacuumpressure; suitable for standard foods.

Useful information It is essential to follow some simple rules to optimise and make food storage safe:

  • Onceperishablefoodsarepackaged,refrigerateorfreezeimmediately.Donotleave them at room temperature.
  • Vacuumpackagingincreasestheshelflifeofdryfoods.Foodsthathaveahighfatcontent developrancidityduetooxygenandhottemperature.Storeinacoolanddarkplace.
  • Cannedorvacuum-packedfoodsonanindustriallevelcanberepackagedinavacuum afteropeningthemfromtheoriginalpackaging.Followtheinstructionsforrefrigeration afteropeningandtostorethefoodaftervacuumpackingitagain. However, pre-packaged food must be consumed by the expiry date indicated on the original packaging of the product.

  • Cleanandkeeptheopenendofthebagtautbeforesealing.Makesurethatthereisno residue in the area to be sealed and that the lm is not wrinkled or creased. Residue and wrinkled lm can cause problems in correct sealing.
  • Donotleavetoomuchairinthebag.Beforestartingthevacuumoperation,pressthe bag to allow more air to escape. Too much air inside the bag increases the load of the vacuumpumpandcancauseinsucientmotorpowerforcompleteairextraction. L37 Vacuum packing machine with scale
  • Donotvacuumpackfoodswithpointedorsharpendssuchasshbonesandhardshells! Do not cut or tear the lm! We recommend the use of containers for these foods.
  • Werecommendyouwaitatleast1minutebetweenpackingonebagandthenextto allow the appliance to cool down.
  • Ifforsomereasonthebagdoesnotreachavacuum,theapplianceswitchesoff automatically after 60 seconds. In this situation, check that the bag has no leaks and that it has been correctly positioned.
  • Makesuretherearenocracks,deformationsorsmallparticlesonthesealsaroundthe vacuumchamber.If necessary,remove thegaskets,washanddrythem carefully;if damaged, replace them.
  • Duringthevacuumpackagingprocess,smallamountsofliquids,crumbsorfoodparticles maybeinadvertently“sucked”intothevacuumchamberandriskcloggingthepump anddamagingtheappliance.Toavoidtheabove,werecommendyoufreezemoistor juicyfoodbeforepackagingitortoputafoldedpapertowelintheupperpartofthe bag.Forpowderedornegrainfood,avoidoverllingthebags.
  • Non-solidfoodsmustbecooledbeforevacuumpackaging.
  • Storeperishablefoodsinthefreezerorrefrigerator.Vacuumpackagingprolongsthelife offoodproducts,butdoesnotpreservethem.
  • Fillabagwithabout2/3ofwater,sealit(notinavacuum)andputitinthefreezer.Once frozen, the bag can be used as ice or ice packs.
  • Manyfoodsaresoldpre-packagedincommercialvacuumbagssuchascheeseanddeli and meats. You can keep the taste and freshness of these foods, repacking them under vacuumafteropeningtheoriginalpackaging.
  • Foodssuchas:our,riceandcakeandpancakemixes,stayfreshlongerifvacuum-packed. Nutsandseasoningsretaintheiravour.
  • Therearemanynon-foodusesforvacuumpackaging. For example: - camping gear such as matches, rst aid kit and clothing can be kept clean and dry. - signal ares for emergencies can be kept clean and dry. - preservesilverorcollectibleitemsawayfromstains.38

  • Thisstoragesystemcanalsobeusedtostoreandprotectotherobjectssuchas:valuables, photos,importantdocuments,stampcollections,bookcollections,jewellery,cards, comics, drugs, patches and other rst aid items, etc. Cleaning and maintenance Before carrying out any cleaning operations, always disconnect the plug from the mains power supply and wait about 10 minutes for all the parts to cool down. - To clean the appliance body, use a damp cloth avoiding the use of abrasive materials or detergents. 1. Wash the bags in lukewarm water with a mild dish soap. Rinse and dry well.

3. Dry thoroughly before reusing.

To avoid the possible transmission of germs, do not reuse the bags after packing raw meat, raw sh or fatty foods. Do not reuse the bags that have been heated in a microwave oven or immersed in boiling water. SCALE CALIBRATION If the weight read by the scale is incorrect, you can recalibrate the scale.

  • Tocheck,sealthebagwithairin- side, immerse it in water and apply pressure. Bubbles indicate a leak. Reseal or use another bag.
  • Theappliance does not correctly seal the bag
  • Thesealingbaroverheats and tends to melt the bag.
