If in doubt, consult your GP.
Safety
- This item can be used by children 8 years of age and above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental abilities or lacking experience and knowledge, if they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the item and understand the dangers that may arise.
Children must not play with the item. - Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children, unless they are 8 years of age or older and are being supervised.
- Batteries, when swallowed, can be life-threatening. You should therefore keep the batteries and scale out of reach of small children. If a battery is swallowed, medical assistance must be sought immediately.
DANGER for children
- Keep children away from packaging material. Risk of choking if swallowed. Also make sure that children do not pull the packaging material over their heads.
RISK of fire/burning and/or explosion
- Risk of explosion if batteries are improperly exchanged. Replace the batteries only with one of the same or an equivalent type. Pay attention to the "Technical Data".
- Batteries must not be recharged, reactivated by other means, dismantled, thrown into fire, or short-circuited.
- Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and mucosa. If contact is made with the battery fluid, rinse the affected areas immediately with plenty of clean water and see a doctor straight away.
WARNING against risk of injury
- Do not step onto the outer edge of any one side of the scale. Risk of tipping!
- Do not step onto the scale with wet feet or when its surface is damp. Risk of slipping!
- The weighing surface is made of glass. If you drop the scale, there is a risk of the glass breaking and thus a risk of injury from glass splinters.
BEWARE of material damage
- Place the scale on a stable, even surface.
- Do not overload the scale. Pay attention to the "Technical Data". Place yourself on the scale only for weighing purposes.
- Protect the scale from sharp jolts and vibrations.
- Remove the batteries from the scale if they have been used up or if you are not going to use the scale for a long time. You will thus avoid damage that may result from the leakage of battery acid.

- Press the Unit and Bluetooth button on the rear side of the scale repeatedly. Pay attention to the display indication.
Install app
- Make sure your smartphone is connected to the internet.
- Download the "FITvigo" app in the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

- Depending on the settings of your smartphone, additional costs may be incurred for the internet connection or data transfer.
We recommend downloading over a wireless network.
The FITvigo app itself is free.
Connect the device with the app (pairing)
- Activate Bluetooth on your smartphone.
- Start the app and follow the instructions. Pay attention to the information and explanations displayed.
The scale will be connected to the FITvigo app after a short while.
Positioning the scale
- Place the scale on an even, firm, and dry surface. Do not place the scale on carpet.
This is how your body analyser scale works
Your new body analyser scale works using so-called BIA-technology (Bioelectric Impedance Analysis). This involves an undetectable, completely harmless and weak current flowing through your body.
The measurement takes place by means of a special coating which has been applied to the weighing surface.
- The current flows relatively unhindered through the fluid contained in muscle mass.
- The resistance of fat mass is stronger. This resistance is measured.
Using your personal data (sex, weight, age, and height), the scale calculates the following information about your body composition:
Body fat proportion in %
Body water in %
Muscle mass in %
Bone mass in g
Weight
The scale has a total of 8 user slots and also offers BMI calculation in the FITvigo app.
Measurement errors
Measurement or calculation errors may arise for the following groups of people during the body analysis:
People who ....
... spend 10 hours or more per week playing sport,
... are professional athletes, body builders and endurance athletes,
...are over 70 years old,
...are less than 10 years old.
The "normal" weighing function (see next chapter) is not affected by these considerations.
Measuring your weight

WARNING against injuries
- Do not step onto the scale with wet feet or when its surface is damp. Risk of slipping!

- For normal weighing - without body analysis - you do not have to enter any data.
-
Weighing is also possible without the FITvigo app connected. If you have connected the FITvigo app, the measured weight will be transmitted to the FITvigo app once the weighing process is finished.
-
Briefly step onto the weighing surface once, using a little force.
"0.0" and the set unit of measurement, e.g. "kg", will be shown on the display.
- Position yourself on the scale. Remain standing still and do not hold on to anything.
The measured weight will be displayed shortly afterwards.
A few seconds after you step off the weighing surface, the scale will switch off automatically.

When the scale is switched off you can also step onto the scale directly.
Entering personal data
- Press SET.
A user slot number (P1) will be shown blinking on the display.
-
Using the or the button, select the desired user slot.
-
Press SET.
Using the or the button, choose your sex: for male, or for female. If you are also a very sporty type of person, select the symbol, too.
- Press SET.
On the display, the preset value for height (e.g. "175" for cm) will flash.
-
Using the or the button, enter your height.
-
Press SET.
The preset value for the age blinks on the display.
-
Using the or the button, enter your age.
-
Finally, press SET. You have thus input the necessary data.
"0.0" is shown on the display and you can perform your body analysis. If you do nothing else, the scale will automatically switch off after a few seconds.

-
If you hold down the or the button, the forward and backward flow of the displayed data will occur more quickly.
-
Entered data can only be overwritten by making a new entry.
Automatic user recognition
The scale is equipped with automatic user recognition.
As soon as you step onto the scale, it switches on automatically and within a few seconds shows you the ascertained weight.
If the weight difference between two stored persons is less than 3kg , automatic user recognition does not work. In this case, "P1-P2" (for example) will be shown on the display:
This indication means that the scale cannot match the person on the scale unambiguously to one of the stored users. The scale hence displays the two users that cannot be differentiated (in this example, "P1" and "P2").
- In such a case, select the correct user slot using the arrow buttons or
After selection of the user, the scale automatically resumes the weighing and analysing process.
Body analysis

-
Body analysis is only possible if your data has been entered (see previous chapter).
-
Body analysis is also possible without the app connected. If you have connected the app, the measured data will be transmitted to the app after the weighing process is finished.
See the chapter "Weighing Tips".
- Briefly press SET, in order to switch on the scale.
- Using the or the button, select the user slot in which you have recorded your personal body data.
The data is briefly displayed, then "0.0" and the selected unit of measurement, e.g. "kg".
-
Position yourself barefoot on the scale. Remain standing still and do not hold on to anything.
-
Ensure that each foot is standing completely flat on the weighing surface.
- There must be no contact between your feet, your legs, your calves, or your thighs. Otherwise, the measurement will be imprecise.
The measured weight will be displayed shortly afterwards. The indicator "o" then runs across the display; the body analysis is being carried out. Remain standing still.
The measured values will then be shown to you repeatedly on the display.

At the same time, in the upper region of the display the type of indicator or value will be shown.
Indicator
Meaning
- Body fat Your proportion of body fat in %
- TBW Your body water in %
- Muscle Your muscle mass in %
- Bone Your bone mass in kg
- Your body weight in the set unit of measurement
Weighing tips
- Weighing for the body analysis can only be carried out barefoot. In doing so, your feet should only be lightly moistened. Completely dry feet can lead to false results, as the electrical conductivity will be poor then.
-
During the measuring process, stand still and do not hold on to anything.
-
Do not weigh yourself directly after unusual physical exertion.
-
Do not weigh yourself immediately after standing up. Wait approximately fifteen minutes. In this time, the water is able to distribute through your body.
- Always attempt to weigh yourself at the same time, in order to obtain comparable values.
Notes on the ascertained values
The proportion of body fat gives the amount of fat as a percentage of the total weight of the body. A universal recommendation for this value does not exist, since it depends significantly on sex (because of different physiques) and age.
Body fat is vital for day-to-day body function. It protects organs, cushions joints, regulates body temperature, stores vitamins, and serves the body as an energy store.
For women, a body fat proportion between 10% and 13% is essential; for men, between 2% and 5% with the exception of competitive sportsmen.
The proportion of body fat is not an unambiguous indicator of health. Excessive body weight and a too-high proportion of body fat are linked with the appearance of many diseases of civilisation such as diabetes, cardiovascular illnesses, etc. Physical inactivity and poor diet are often triggers for these diseases. There is a clear causal connection between excess weight and physical inactivity.
A considerable part of the human body consists of water. This body water is variably distributed throughout the whole body. Lean muscle tissue contains about 75% water, blood around 83% water, body fat approx. 25% water and bones have a water proportion of about 22% .
In men approx. 60% of body mass consists of water.
- In women, that value is about 55% (determined by a higher proportion of body fat).
Of this total body water approx. two thirds are stored in the cells and therefore called intracellular water. The other third is extracellular water.
