1. Power cord with plug
Connection to the mains supply Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage marked on the rating label of the blender. is product complies with all binding CE labelling directives. Important safety instructions Before the appliance is used, the main z body as well as any attachment tted should be checked thoroughly for any defects. Should the appliance, for instance, have been dropped onto a hard surface, it must not be used any longer: even invisible damage may have adverse e ects on the operational safety of the appliance. e power cord should be regularly z examined for any signs of damage. In the event of such damage being found, the appliance must no longer be used. Do not operate the appliance if excessive z force has been used to pull the power cord. Damage cannot always be detected from the outside; the entire unit should therefore be checked by a quali ed technician before it is used again. is appliance is not intended for use z by any person (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lacking experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure z that they do not play with the appliance. Caution: z Keep any packaging materials well away from children, as they are a potential source of danger e.g. from su ocation. Before using for the rst time Before the appliance is used for the – rst time, all detachable parts must be thoroughly cleaned as described in the section General Care and Cleaning. Short-time operation e appliance is designed to process average domestic quantities of food; it can be operated without interruption for a maximum of 30 seconds, when it should be allowed su cient time to cool down. Operating button e blender is equipped with two operating buttons. Operating button I... low power Operating button II... high power Blender operation Push the blender unit into its mounting – and lock it by turning it anti-clockwise, observing the markings on the blender unit and drive unit. Any pieces of fruit should be cut into – smaller cubes measuring about 1.5 cm. Always use a suitable container for – operation. e blender jar provided, or any tall container with a at base are best suitable. Insert the plug into a suitable wall outlet. – Push the blender unit well down into the – ingredients in the bowl before using one of the operating buttons to switch the unit on. Make sure that the unit can rotate freely – inside the bowl and is not blocked during operation. As soon as the operating button is – released, the blender will switch o . Always wait until the motor has come to a complete standstill before li ing the blender attachment from the mixture. Always remove the plug from the wall – socket a er use. To detach the blender unit, turn it – clockwise to unlock before pulling out. Whisk attachment e whisk attachment is suitable for whipping cream or beating egg-white, or for processing liquids such as soups or sauces. Always remove the plug from the wall – socket and wait until the motor has come to a complete standstill before changing any attachment. Fit the whisk attachment to the drive unit – and lock it by turning it anti-clockwise. General care and cleaning Always remove the plug from the wall z socket before cleaning the appliance. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not z clean the drive unit or the power cord with water and do not immerse them in water. e drive unit may be wiped with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasives, harsh cleaning z solutions or sharp or pointed objects for cleaning. For cleaning, the blender or whisk – attachment can be detached from the drive unit by turning clockwise. To re- t any attachment, push it into its mounting and lock it by turning anti-clockwise.
e blender and whisk attachments can – be cleaned using hot water and a mild detergent. However, make sure that water does not enter the drive sha of the attachment from above. Caution: the blade of the blender unit is extremely sharp. If necessary, a suitable brush may also be used to clean the blade. Disposal Do not dispose of old or defective appliances in domestic garbage; this should only be done through public collection points. 8Guarantee is product is guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase.
