How to assemble the blending foot onto the motor unit?

Place the foot on the motor unit and turn counterclockwise until it locks. The symbols should align.

How long can I use the blender continuously?

Maximum 30 seconds. Then let the appliance cool down before using again.

How to clean the motor unit?

Never immerse it in water. Wipe it with a damp, lint-free cloth. Always unplug before.

Can I blend hot ingredients?

It is not recommended to blend very hot liquids (risk of splashing and burns). Let cool to room temperature.

How to use the whisk?

Insert the whisk into the drive shaft and lock it by turning counterclockwise. Use it for whipped cream, egg whites, soups.

Is the blade removable?

The blade is fixed in the blending foot. Clean it carefully with a soft brush.

What to do in case of malfunction?

Contact a Severin authorized service center. Do not repair yourself. The list of centers is in the manual.

Can I blend ice cubes?

This model is not designed to crush ice cubes. Use it only for soft foods.

How to detach the blending foot after use?

Unplug the appliance, wait for the motor to stop completely, then turn the foot clockwise to unlock.

Can I use a container other than the provided bowl?

Yes, any flat-bottomed container works. Immerse the foot into the ingredients before starting.

Connection to the mains supply

Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage marked on the rating label of the blender.Th is product complies with all binding CE labelling directives.

Important safety instructions

Before the appliance is used, the main body as well as any attachment fitted should be checked thoroughly for any defects. Should the appliance, for instance, have been dropped onto a hard surface, it must not be used any longer: even invisible damage may have adverse effects on the operational safety of the appliance.

• The power cord should be regularly examined for any signs of damage. In the event of such damage being found, the appliance must no longer be used.

Do not operate the appliance if excessive force has been used to pull the power cord. Damage cannot always be detected from the outside; the entire unit should therefore be checked by a qualified technician before it is used again.

• This appliance is not intended for use by any person (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lacking experience and

Before using for the first time

Before the appliance is used for the first time, all detachable parts must be thoroughly cleaned as described in the section General Care and Cleaning.

Short-time operation

The appliance is designed to process average domestic quantities of food; it can be operated without interruption for a maximum of 30 seconds, when it should be allowed sufficient time to cool down.

Blender operation

Push the blender unit into its mounting - and lock it by turning it anti-clockwise, observing the markings on the blender unit and drive unit.

Any pieces of fruit should be cut into smaller cubes measuring about 1.5cm

Always use a suitable container for operation. The blender jar provided, or any tall container with a fl at base are best suitable.

Insert the plug into a suitable wall outlet. - Push the blender unit well down into the ingredients in the bowl before using one of the operating buttons to switch the unit on.

Make sure that the unit can rotate freely inside the bowl and is not blocked during operation.

As soon as the operating button is released, the blender will switch off. Always wait until the motor has come to a complete standstill before lifting the

blender attachment from the mixture.

Always remove the plug from the wall - socket after use.

To detach the blender unit, turn it - clockwise to unlock before pulling out.

Whisk attachment

The whisk attachment is suitable for whipping cream or beating egg-white, or for processing liquids such as soups or sauces.

Always remove the plug from the wall - socket and wait until the motor has come to a complete standstill before changing any attachment.

-Fit the whisk attachment to the drive unit and lock it by turning it anti-clockwise.

General care and cleaning

• Always remove the plug from the wall socket before cleaning the appliance.
• To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the drive unit or the power cord with water and do not immerse them in water. The drive unit may be wiped with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
• Do not use abrasives, harsh cleaning solutions or sharp or pointed objects for cleaning.

For cleaning, the blender or whisk attachment can be detached from the drive unit by turning clockwise. To re-fit any attachment, push it into its mounting and lock it by turning anti-clockwise.

• The blender and whisk attachments can be cleaned using hot water and a mild detergent. However, make sure that water does not enter the drive shaft of the attachment from above.

Caution: the blade of the blender unit is extremely sharp.

If necessary, a suitable brush may also be used to clean the blade.

Disposal

Do not dispose of old or defective appliances in domestic garbage; this should only be done through public collection points.

Guarantee

Th is product is guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase. Under this guarantee the manufacturer undertakes to repair or replace any parts found to be defective, providing the product is returned to one of our authorised service centres.
