USING THE MINI VACUUM SEALER

GENERAL USAGE NOTES

  1. Provided that the mini vacuum is not charged:

Plug in the micro USB connection and connect the USB cable to the power through a suitable power adapter. The LED light illuminates in red when Vinnie is being charged. The light will

disappear once the battery is charged.

  1. Open a vacuum bag and put food in the bag. Make sure that the bag is large enough and is filled at most up to the marking below the adhesive valve.
  2. Seal the vacuum bag by pressing together the two seal strips with your fingers and make sure that the bag is sealed well.
  3. Make sure that no food or liquid gets under the adhesive valve and place it on a level surface. For liquids: Let the bag hang over the edge of a table up to the marking so that the adhesive valve is on a level surface.
  4. Place the mini vacuum sealer Vinnie on the adhesive valve so that the suction area is exactly in the middle. Push the on/off button on the top of the vacuum sealer - the vacuum process will begin. As soon as the air is visibly sucked out of the bag, you can let go of Vinnie. For liquids: Hold both the bag that is hanging over the edge of the table and the vacuum sealer throughout the process.
  5. Make sure that no liquid is sucked in. As soon as no more air is extracted from the bag, push the on/off button again and remove the vacuum sealer.
  6. Seal the adhesive valve by pushing lightly on the adhesive valve.

CLEANING AND CARE

Warning!

  • Always turn off the device before cleaning or care;

pull out the USB plug from the wall outlet until the device has cooled down completely.

  • Do not submerge the device in water or other liquids.
  • Never use a scouring agent or solvent.
  • Clean the outside of the device with a soft, moist towel. If necessary, use a little neutral cleaning agent. Dry the device thoroughly with a clean, dry towel.
  • Do not try to repair the device yourself. If it does not work properly, replace it with a new one.
  • The silicone attachment on the bottom of the device can be removed and cleaned in the dishwasher.
  • The vacuum bags may be re-used up to 10 times, depending on prior use. Clean the bag with a moist towel and mild cleaning agent; the adhesive valves lose their functionality in the dishwasher. We recommend using bags only once when using as a sous vide bag.

TIPS AND TRICKS

  • The mini vacuum sealer Vinnie vacuum-packs your food for space-saving storage. You can also freeze the bags or use them for sous vide preparation in a warm water bath.
  • You can marinate meat better in a vacuum. Simply add herbs, spices, or lemon peel and oil, soy sauce, or other liquids to the bag together with your meat. Dry marinades (rubs) are also ideal for this method.
The vacuum protects your food against air and makes it last longer.

Please go through the following steps if the mini vacuum sealer Vinnie does not work properly:

Problem Solution
No vacuum is generated.·Make sure that you have correctly sealed the bag. ·Make sure that the mini vacuum sealer Vinnie is placed correctly onto the adhesive valve. Change Vinnie's position while it is running and see when the air is extracted.
The device does not start.·Make sure that the battery is charged or connect Vinnie to a power supply through the USB cable. ·If the device still does not start, contact the customer service.

The bag loses its vacuum after some time.

Vacuum the bag again and then make sure that you have completely pressed and sealed the adhesive valve with your finger.
Make sure the that the bag, valve, and bag seal are not damaged.
