Important safety instructions Before using the appliance, the user should read the following instructions ✦ carefully. Before the appliance is used, the main body as well as any attachment tted ✦ should be checked thoroughly for any defects. Should the appliance, for instance, have been dropped onto a hard surface, it must not be used any longer: even invisible damage may have adverse e ects on the operational safety of the appliance. Always switch the appliance o and remove the plug from the wall socket ✦ before adding, changing, removing or cleaning any attachments or tools.

parts have come to a complete standstill before touching them. Do not allow the appliance or its power cord to touch hot surfaces or to come ✦ into contact with any heat sources. Do not touch any moving parts during operation. ✦ Always place the appliance on a work surface impervious to splashes and ✦ stains. Do not leave the appliance unattended while in use. ✦ The power cord should be regularly examined for any signs of damage. In the ✦ event of such damage being found, the appliance must no longer be used. Always remove the plug from the wall socket ✦ after use, ✦ in case of any malfunction, ✦ before cleaning the appliance. ✦ When removing the plug from the wall socket, never pull on the power cord; ✦ always grip the plug itself. Do not allow the power cord to hang free.

Operation Short-term operation When using the speed levels 1 - 5, the unit should not be operated continuously for more than 3 minutes. Switch o the appliance afterwards and allow the motor to cool down for 15 minutes. Switch settings The appliance is equipped with a multi-stage switch. The following settings may be selected: 0 The appliance is switched o 1 very low speed 2 low speed 3 medium speed 4 medium-high speed 5 high speed When mixing light and liquid mixtures or when stirring in any ingredients, ✦ settings 1 and 2 should be used. For all stirring purposes, it is best to use settings ✦ 3 to 5. 8General information Before using for the rst time clean the attachments. ✦ Depending on the quantity of ingredients, use a su ciently deep bowl. ✦ Any bowl, round container or glass is suitable, provided it is scratch-proof ✦ and the attachments can rotate freely inside. Once the attachments are tted, take the blender in hand and position the ✦ attachments inside the container lled with the ingredients. Use your thumb to switch on the unit. ✦ Once processing is nished, or if you wish to interrupt the operation, ✦ switch o rst before lifting the attachments out of the mixture. Beater attachments For light and liquid mixtures such as crèmes, mashed potatoes, egg white or cream, insert one or both beaters into the openings on the underside of the blender and push them gently upwards until they lock into place. Ejecting the beater attachments Switch the appliance o and remove the plug from the wall socket. The attachments are automatically ejected when the release button is slightly pressed. General care and cleaning Before cleaning the appliance, ensure it is disconnected from the power ✦ supply. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the appliance with water ✦ and do not immerse it in water. The housing may be wiped with a damp, lint-free cloth. ✦ The beaters may be cleaned using hot water and a mild detergent. ✦ Disposal Do not dispose of old or defective appliances in domestic garbage; this should only be done through public collection points. Guarantee This product is guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase. Under this guarantee the manufacturer undertakes to repair or replace any parts found to be defective, providing the product is returned to one of our authorised service centres. This guarantee is only valid if the appliance has been used in accordance with the instructions, and provided that it has not been modi ed, repaired or interfered with by any unauthorised person, or damaged through misuse. 9This guarantee naturally does not cover wear and tear, nor breakables such as glass and ceramic items, bulbs etc. This guarantee does not a ect your statutory rights, nor any legal rights you may have as a consumer under applicable national legislation governing the purchase of goods. If the product fails to operate and needs to be returned, pack it carefully, enclosing your name and address and the reason for return.
