2. 2-position operating button
Connection to the mains supply Before using the appliance, the user must read the following instructions carefully. Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds to the voltage marked on the rating label of the appliance. This product complies with all relevant CE- labelling directives. Important safety instructions Before the appliance is used, the main body as well as any attachment ✦ tted should be checked thoroughly for any defects. Should the appliance, for instance, have been dropped onto a hard surface, it must not be used any longer: even invisible damage may have adverse e ects on the operational safety of the appliance. This appliance is not intended for use by any person (including children) ✦ with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lacking experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the ✦ appliance. Caution: ✦ Keep any packaging materials well away from children, as they are a potential source of danger e.g. from su ocation. Do not allow the appliance or its power cord to touch hot surfaces or to ✦ come into contact with any heat sources. Before using for the rst time Before the appliance is used for the rst time, it must be thoroughly cleaned as described in the section General Care and Cleaning. Short-time operation The appliance is designed to process average domestic quantities of food; it may be operated without interruption for a maximum of 1 minute, when it should be allowed to cool down for approximately 5 minutes. Operating button The blender is equipped with a 2-position operating button. Level I (1 dot) - low power Level II (2 dots) - high power Operation Always use a suitable container for operation. A tall container with a at ✦ base is best. Push the blender unit down into the ingredients in the bowl before ✦ brie y switching the unit on with the operation button. Make sure that the unit can rotate freely inside the bowl and is not ✦ blocked during operation. As soon as the operating button is released, the blender will switch o . ✦ 7Always wait until the motor has come to a complete standstill before lifting the blender attachment from the mixture. Always remove the plug from the wall socket after use. ✦ General care and cleaning Always remove the plug from the wall socket before cleaning the ✦ appliance. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the drive unit or the ✦ power cord with water and do not immerse them in water. The drive unit may be wiped with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasives, harsh cleaning solutions or sharp or pointed ✦ objects for cleaning. The blender can be detached from the drive unit for easy cleaning. To ✦ remove, turn the blender towards the -symbol and pull it out. When re-attaching the blender, turn it towards the -symbol, ensuring that it locks properly into place. The blade can be cleaned under hot, running water. Be careful not to ✦ allow any water to enter the drive shaft from above. To remove persistent food residues, a suitable brush may also be used. ✦ Disposal Do not dispose of old or defective appliances in domestic garbage; this should only be done through public collection points. Guarantee This product is guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase. Under this guarantee the manufacturer undertakes to repair or replace any parts found to be defective, providing the product is returned to one of our authorised service centres. This guarantee is only valid if the appliance has been used in accordance with the instructions, and provided that it has not been modi ed, repaired or interfered with by any unauthorised person, or damaged through misuse. This guarantee naturally does not cover wear and tear, nor breakables such as glass and ceramic items, bulbs etc. This guarantee does not a ect your statutory rights, nor any legal rights you may have as a consumer under applicable national legislation governing the purchase of goods. If the product fails to operate and needs to be returned, pack it carefully, enclosing your name and address and the reason for return.
