Connection to the mains supply Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage marked on the rating label of the adaptor. This product complies with all binding CE labelling directives. Important safety instructions ● Do not operate the vacuum cleaner without filter holder or filter. ● This appliance is not intended for use by any person (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lacking experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. ● Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. ● Never use the appliance to pick up hot, acid or inflammable materials. ● Do not attempt to operate the appliance (vacuum cleaner or adaptor) when it has been dropped on a hard surface or if it shows any signs of damage. ● No responsibility will be accepted if damage results from improper use, or if these instructions are not complied with. ● This appliance is intended for domestic use only and not for commercial applications. ● In order to comply with safety regulations and to avoid hazards, repairs of electrical appliances must be carried out by qualified personnel. If repairs are needed, please send the appliance to one of our customer service departments. The address can be found in the appendix to this manual. Mounting The wall bracket is designed for storing the vacuum cleaner. The charging device is integrated into the wall bracket. Attach the charging plug to the wall bracket from the rear, then mount the wall bracket vertically near a wall socket using the screws provided with the appliance. When mounting the wall bracket, ensure that the power cord is led through one of the openings (at the top or bottom) and that it is not jammed. Charging process Before using the vacuum cleaner for the first time, the battery must be charged for a period of approximately 14 hours.

Insert the adaptor into a wall socket.

Place the vacuum cleaner in the wall bracket. The charging process begins automatically and is indicated by the charge indicator.

This appliance can remain on charge indefinitely without damage or danger and is therefore fully charged and ready for use at all times.

When the unit is switched on, the power is supplied directly from the electric supply of the car. Crevice tool The crevice tool can be inserted into the suction aperture to clean crevices, corners and other areas difficult to reach. Picking up liquids Before picking up liquids, make sure that the rubber nozzle is fully inserted into the suction aperture. The dust container must be emptied as soon as the liquid picked up reaches the indicated ‘Max’ level. Operation

Remove the vacuum cleaner from its wall bracket.

If required, fit any of the nozzle attachments provided to the suction aperture.

Switch on the appliance using the On/Off switch.

Should you experience a decrease in vacuuming power during operation, switch off the appliance and recharge. Cleaning General ● Before cleaning the appliance, remove it from the wall bracket. ● To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the appliance or the adaptor with water and do not immerse them in water.

If necessary, the housing may be wiped with a damp cloth. Wipe dry afterwards. To empty the dust container To prevent dust from spilling out through the suction aperture, the dust container must be emptied immediately once the indicated ‘Max’ level on the dust container is reached.

Hold the vacuum cleaner with the dust container facing downwards.

Push the release button and remove the dust container.

Remove the filter holder from the dust container and empty the container.

The filter holder can be cleaned by lightly tapping it or by using a brush. For cleaning, the filter can be taken off from the filter holder. Release the filter from the inside and slide it out from the guide slots.

If the filter is visibly dirty, it should be thoroughly cleaned with soapy water (make sure to let it dry completely afterwards). The filter holder, dust container and attachment nozzles may be cleaned in the same manner. Disposal of the battery pack ● Remember to protect our environment. Never dispose of old battery packs in your domestic garbage. Ni-Mh ● The rechargeable batteries can be disposed of through your Severin Service 8or through the local ‘special garbage collection points in accordance with local regulations.

The battery compartment is located on the underside of the unit. To dispose of the battery pack, open the compartment cover by removing both screws. Loosen the clips at the side of the unit and remove the empty battery pack. The clips remain on the battery connection strands. ● Please observe that the battery compartment may be opened only for battery disposal; otherwise the guarantee becomes invalid. Disposal Do not dispose of old or defective appliances in domestic garbage; this should only be done through public collection points. Guarantee This product is guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase. Under this guarantee the manufacturer undertakes to repair or replace any parts found to be defective, providing the product is returned to one of our authorised service centres. This guarantee is only valid if the appliance has been used in accordance with the instructions, and provided that it has not been modified, repaired or interfered with by any unauthorised person, or damaged through misuse. This guarantee naturally does not cover wear and tear, nor breakables such as glass and ceramic items, bulbs etc. If the product fails to operate and needs to be returned, pack it carefully, enclosing your name and address and the reason for return.
