Operating principle

The induction loop receiver can receive signals which are transmitted by induction loop systems. This corresponds to a hearing aid in the »T« position.

Before first use, the batteries have to be charged for at least 14 hours. Only use the original batteries.

Make sure that the stethoscope receiver is worn correctly.

Reception range

Ensure that the induction loop receiver is operated within an installed induction loop. Outside of this area, the induction loop receiver operates with limited capacity only.

Volume adjustment of the receiver

There is no ON/OFF switch.

The receiver automatically switches on when worn.

If the sound quality of the receiver becomes noisy and distorted the battery should be exchanged by a loaded one.

Warning: do not force the battery into the charger or receiver. It fits easily when inserted correctly.

How to get the most out of your rechargeable batteries

Please make sure that the batteries are used on a regular basis. Constantly recharging of the batteries will shorten their service life.

50/60 Hz filter

The 50/60 Hz filter is used to suppress any annoying noise or buzzing in the induction loop receiver.

Use the ON/OFF switch on the back of the device to switch the 50/60 Hz filter on or off.

8 Cleaning the hygienic covers

The soft silicone earpieces should always be kept clean.

If they need to be replaced, please use the silicone earpieces available as a special accessory for DIR receivers (Order No. A-4985-0).

Using the transparent cover of the volume control:

Remove the silicone cover and replace it with the transparent cover.

The transparent cover has the following protective functions:

a) It prevents any unintentional changes in the volume level,
b) it protects dust and liquids from coming into contact with the volume control.

Please note the following information:

If the system needs cleaning ONLY use a soft damp cloth. If the ear pieces become damaged they should be replaced.

The product warranty does not cover normal wear or damage resulting from misuse, neglect, improper storage, accident, unauthorised repair or alteration.

Important Notice

This product is not protected against splash water. Do not place any containers filled with water, such as flower vases, or anything with an open flame, such as a lit candle, on or near the product.

Warranty induction loop receiver

The LPU-1 is a very reliable product. Should a malfunction occur despite the unit having been set up and operated correctly, please contact your dealer or the manufacturer directly. This warranty covers the repair of the product and returning it to you free of charge. It is essential that you send in the product in its original packaging, so do not throw the packaging away. The warranty does not apply to damage caused by incorrect handling or attempts to repair the unit by people not authorised to do so (destruction of the seal on the unit). Repairs will only be carried out under warranty if the completed warranty card is returned accompanied by a copy of the dealer's invoice/till receipt.

Always specify the product number in any event.

Disposal of used electric and electronic units (applicable in the countries of the European Union and other European countries with a separate collection system). The symbol on the product

or the packaging indicates that this product is not to be handled as ordinary household waste but has to be returned to a collecting point for the recycling of electric and electronic units. You protect the environment and health of your fellow men by the correct disposal of this products. Environment and health are endangered by a faulty disposal. Material recycling helps to reduce the consumption of raw material. You will receive further information on the recycling of this product from your local community, your communal disposal company or your local dealer.
