Tips for beginners
- If you have not used an epilator before, it may take some time for your skin to adapt to epilation. In the beginning, epilate on a weekly basis to help reduce the discomfort.
- First time users should epilate in the evening so that reddening can disappear overnight. To relax the skin, we recommend applying a moisturizing cream after epilation.
- Epilation is easier and more comfortable when the hair is between 0.5 - 3 mm long. If hairs
are longer, we recommend that you shorten them.
General information on epilation
All methods of hair removal from the root can lead to irritation (e.g., itching, discomfort, and reddening of the skin) depending on the condition of the skin and hair. This is a normal reaction and should quickly disappear. It may be stronger when you are removing hair at the root for the first few times or if you have sensitive skin.
In general, skin reactions and the sensation of pain tend to diminish considerably with repeated use. If, after 36 hours, the skin still shows irritation, we recommend that you contact your physician.
To minimize the risk of infection or inflammation due to bacteria penetrating the skin when it comes to micro-injuries, thoroughly clean the epilation head and your skin before each use.
If you have any doubts about using this appliance, please consult your physician. In the following cases, this appliance should only be used after prior consultation with a physician: eczema, wounds, inflamed skin reactions such as folliculitis (purulent hair follicles) and varicose veins around moles, reduced immunity of the skin (e.g., diabetes mellitus), during pregnancy, Raynaud's disease, haemophilia, candida, or immune deficiency.
B How to shave / trim
The shaver head (6) is designed for a fast and close shave of legs,
underarms and bikini line, contour trimming, or pre-cutting hair.
a) Attach the shaver head (with the trimmer facing the front). Shave with switch setting «II». b) Put on the trimmer cap (I) to pre-cut hair to the ideal length for epilation. c) Cleaning: Press the release bars on the front and back to remove the shaver foil frame (II). Carefully tap it on a flat surface. Brush out the cutter block (III) and the area below. d) Do not clean the shaver foil with the brush as this may damage the foil. Do not shave with a damaged foil. e) The shaving parts need to be lubricated regularly every 3 months.
Replace the foil frame and cutter block when you notice a reduced shaving performance. Replacement parts can be obtained via www.service.braun.com.

General information about epilation
Removing hair with the root may cause skin irritation (for example, itching, discomfort, or redness) depending on the condition of the skin and hair. This is a normal reaction that should quickly subside; however, irritation may be stronger when removing hair with the root in the first few times or on sensitive skin.
As a rule, skin reactions and pain sensations significantly decrease with repeated use of the device.
If after 36 hours there are still traces of irritation on the skin, it is recommended to consult a doctor. To minimize the risk of infection or inflammation,
Due to the entry of bacteria into the microtraumas of the skin, thoroughly clean the head for epilation and the skin surface before each procedure. If you have any doubts about the use of the device, consult a doctor.
In the following cases, the use of the device is allowed only after consultation with a doctor: eczema, wounds, inflammatory skin reactions, such as folliculitis (inflammation of the hair follicle) and varicose veins in the treatment area, decreased skin immunity, for example in diabetes, during pregnancy, in case of Raynaud's disease, hemophilia, candidiasis, or immunodeficiency.
