How to replace the battery of the FUSG50010 remote control?

Open the battery compartment, remove the old battery and insert a new lithium CR2450 (3 V) battery, observing polarity. Close the compartment. When inserted, all LEDs briefly light up to verify proper operation.

What is the range of the remote control?

In open field, the range is approximately 200 m. Indoors, the range varies depending on obstacles and building materials.

Is the remote control waterproof?

No, the remote control is not waterproof. Avoid any direct contact with water. Do not use it in the rain and do not immerse it in water.

How to know if the alarm is armed using the remote control?

Press the dedicated button (usually the * button or a status button). The LEDs indicate the status: for example, red steady for armed, green for disarmed. Refer to your control panel manual for more details.

Is the FUSG50010 remote control compatible with all ABUS control panels?

It is compatible with Secvest control panels (models FUAA50xxx) provided the firmware is at least version v2.00.06. It also works with 868 MHz receivers of the Secvest/Terxon ranges.

What to do if the remote control stops working?

First check the battery. If it is discharged, replace it with a new one. If the problem persists, reset the remote control by removing and reinserting the battery. If nothing changes, contact your installer or ABUS customer service.

How to use the panic function?

The panic function allows you to send a silent alarm in case of threat. Depending on the programming, press a specific key combination (e.g., hold down a key). Refer to your control panel manual for the exact configuration.

Can I use the remote control to control multiple control panels?

Yes, it is possible to learn the remote control on several compatible control panels. Follow the learning procedure described in each control panel's manual. Note that each control panel must be in learning mode.

How to read the software version of the remote control?

When inserting the battery, observe the upper LEDs: the red LED blinks to indicate the major version, the green LED blinks for the minor version. For example, 2 red blinks followed by 3 green blinks correspond to version 2.3.

How to dispose of the remote control at end of life?

Do not throw the remote control in the household waste. In accordance with the WEEE directive (2002/96/EC), take it to a collection point for electronic waste or to your retailer. The battery must be removed and disposed of separately.

Information on the battery

The device is supplied with direct current from a 3V lithium battery. To guarantee a long service life and avoid fire and injury, please note the following:

• Do not dispose of the battery in domestic waste.
• The battery must not be directly exposed to heat or sunlight, and must not be stored in a place with a very high temperature.
• The battery must not be burned.
• The battery must not come into contact with water.
• The battery must not be dismantled, pierced or otherwise damaged.
• The battery contacts must not be short-circuited.
• The battery must be kept away from small children.
• The battery cannot be recharged.

Operation

Inserting or changing the battery

Before the wireless remote control can be used, the battery has to be inserted. When inserting the battery, all the LED pairs light up red and green one after another which show that all the LEDs are working properly.

Reading the software version

The software version of the remote control is then shown by the two LEDs at the top. The main version is shown by the flashing red LED and the sub version is shown by the flashing green LED.

Follow the steps described in the user guide for the compatible component. The " *" button can be used for "arming internally" or for switching an output. Find out more details from the user guide for the compatible component.
