How to pair the ABUS FUBE50013 remote control with my receiver?

Press the learning button on the receiver (often marked 'LEARN' or 'PROG') until the LED flashes. Then press the button on the remote you want to pair. The receiver's LED stays on to confirm pairing. Refer to your receiver's manual for details.

What battery to use for the FUBE50013 remote and how to replace it?

Use a CR2032 lithium battery (3V). To replace the battery, open the compartment with a Phillips screwdriver, remove the old battery and insert the new one with correct polarity (+ facing up). Close carefully.

The range of the remote is reduced. What to do?

Check that the battery is not low (replace if necessary). Make sure no large metal obstacle is between the remote and the receiver. Keep the remote away from other electronic devices that may cause interference. Maximum range is about 30 meters in open field.

Can I use the ABUS FUBE50013 remote with other brands of receivers?

This remote is designed to work with ABUS FUBE500 series receivers. Use with other brands is not guaranteed. If your receiver accepts code learning on 433.42 MHz with rolling code, it may be compatible, but this depends on the manufacturer.

How to reset the remote to factory settings?

The ABUS FUBE50013 remote does not have a user reset function. To clear programmed channels, remove the battery for about 10 seconds. This clears temporary memory, but rolling codes are reset automatically. For a real erase, consult the manual.

What to do if a button on the remote is stuck or no longer responds?

First check that the battery is in good condition. If a button seems stuck, gently clean around it with a dry cloth. If the problem persists, the button may be damaged; the remote is not repairable for individual buttons. Replacement will be necessary.

Does the remote work with an old garage door system?

It depends on the receiver. Old systems often use fixed codes (DIP switches) and not rolling codes. The FUBE50013 uses a dynamic rolling code, so it is not compatible with fixed code receivers. Check compatibility before purchase.

Can I program multiple remotes on the same receiver?

Yes, most ABUS receivers accept multiple remotes. Follow the pairing procedure for each remote. The maximum number of remotes that can be stored depends on the receiver model (usually up to 8 or 16).

The LED on the remote does not light up. Is it defective?

Most FUBE50013 remotes do not have an indicator LED. If no sign of operation is visible, check the battery: remove it and measure voltage (should be >2.7V). If the battery is good and the remote does not work, contact customer service.

How to clean the remote without damaging it?

Use a soft, slightly damp cloth (clean water) to wipe the surface. Never immerse the remote in water. Avoid chemicals, solvents or abrasive cleaners. Dry it immediately after cleaning.

Information on the battery

The device is supplied with direct current from a 3V lithium battery. To guarantee a long service life and avoid fire and injury, please note the following:

• Do not dispose of the battery in domestic waste.
• The battery must not be directly exposed to heat or sunlight, and must not be stored in a place with a very high temperature.
• The battery must not be burned.
• The battery must not come into contact with water.
• The battery must not be dismantled, pierced or otherwise damaged.
• The battery contacts must not be short-circuited.
• The battery must be kept away from small children.
• The battery cannot be recharged.

The wireless remote control is used for arming and disarming alarm systems. It indicates the current status of the alarm system. A switching output can also be armed as an option. The wireless remote control has a panic feature. This can also be used for controlling 868 MHz transceivers in the Secvest/Terxon product range.

Operation

Inserting or changing the battery

Before the wireless remote control can be used, the battery has to be inserted. When inserting the battery, all the LED pairs light up red and green one after another which show that all the LEDs are working properly.

Reading the software version

The software version of the remote control is then shown by the two LEDs at the top. The main version is shown by the flashing red LED and the sub version is shown by the flashing green LED.

Learning in

Follow the steps described in the user guide for the compatible component. The “*” button can be used for “arming internally” or for switching an output.
