DESCRIPTION

The present manual is the integral part of the appliance and must be carefully read before using it as it gives important indications with regard to safety of installation, use and maintenance. Keep it with care.

  • After taking off the packaging make sure that the appliance is intact. In case of doubt do not use it and contact an assistance centre authorised by TERMOZETA.
  • Do not leave pieces of packaging (plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails etc.) within reach of children or persons with reduced mental capacities since these are potential sources of danger.
  • The electrical safety of this appliance is ensured only when it is correctly connected to an effective earthing system in compliance with the existing electrical safety standards. TERMOZETA shall not be held responsible for any damages caused by the lack of an earthing system.
  • Before connecting the plug to the socket check that the working voltage of the appliance corresponds to the one in your house. If in doubt, contact professionally qualified staff.
  • Use of adaptors, multiple sockets and extension leads is not advisable. In case of necessity use exclusively approved devices in conformity with the current safety regulations while making sure that they are compatible with the appliance power. If in doubt, contact professionally qualified staff.
  • Any installation which doesn't comply with what is specified can endanger your safety and the warranty expires.
  • The appliance was exclusively designed for dust suction in a domestic environment.
  • For safety reasons pay attention and:

  • do not use the appliance when you are barefoot or having wet hands or feet

  • do not use the appliance outside the domestic environment
  • do not leave the appliance exposed to atmospheric agents (sun, rain...)
  • the appliance is not intended to be used by persons with reduced physical or mental capacities or without experience, unless there is

someone controlling them or unless they have the use instructions

  • never pull the feeding cable or the appliance itself to disconnect the plug from the socket
  • do not leave the appliance unattended when it is plugged into the main power supply
  • never immerge the appliance in water or other liquids
  • before carrying out any cleaning and maintenance operation always disconnect the plug from the power outlet
  • keep the feeding cable away from hot surfaces, do not let it come into contact with sharp edges and do not let it slide on abrasive surfaces.
  • do not step on the feeding cable and pay attention not to trip over it.
    do not let the appliance pass over it
  • do not damage the feeding cable, do not knot the cable, do not close it in doors or drawers
  • do not vacuum explosive or inflammable materials. (e.g. lit cigarettes)
  • do not vacuum sharp or pointy objects
  • do not use the appliance on people or animals.

  • The feeding cable of the appliance should never be replaced by the user himself. In case of necessity contact an assistance centre authorised by TERMOZETA or professionally qualified staff.

  • In case of problem or malfunctioning of the appliance, turn it off and do not tamper with it. For any repairs contact an assistance centre authorised by TERMOZETA and ask for the use of original spare parts.

  • At the end of the life-cycle of the appliance, put it out of service by cutting the feeding cable after disconnecting the plug from the socket. For the disposal of the appliance follow the regulations which are valid in your place of residence.
  • Termozeta cannot be considered responsible for any damage to persons, animals or things caused by the incorrect installation or as a result of an illegitimate, mistaken or unreasonable use.
  • The appliance must be used for the purpose it was designed for. Any other use is to be considered incorrect and dangerous.

FIELD OF APPLICATION

  • The appliance has been exclusively designed for domestic use dust cleaning from dry surfaces; be careful when using on ramps or stairs.
  • Do not use the appliance without first carefully reading this manual.
  • Do not use the appliance in inflammable areas; if there is gas, sprays, highly volatile dusts, explosives etc.
  • Do not suck lighted cigarettes or inflammable substances.
  • Do not use the appliance on wet or damp areas. Do not suck liquids, sharpened items, big pieces of cellophane or paper, etc.

UNPACKING THE APPLIANCE

  • Remove all the components from the box and verify their conditions.
  • Do not leave parts of packaging (plastic bags, foam polystyrene, nails, carton, straps, metal staples, etc...) within reach of children or unqualified persons since they are potential sources of danger.
  • Dispose of the packaging elements according to the law in force.

INSTALLATION

After switching off the appliance and removing the plug from the outlet, proceed as follows:

  • Attach the flexible tube (1) via the connection (4) to the inlet (9) situated on the motor body (5).
  • Attach one or two extension tubes (15) to the handle (2) according to the necessary lenght. Then attach the accessory most suitable to the type of use:

  • Brush with two positions (hard floors/mats-carpets) (16)

Can be used with the bristles extended for smooth hard surfaces (e.g. tiles), or with the bristles withdrawn for carpets and mats. Use the lever positioned on top of the brush to extract or withdraw the bristles.

  • Crevice tool with upholstery nozzle (18)

Can be connected directly to the handle of the flexible tube or to the

extension tubes. It allows dust suction in places which are difficult to reach (corners, cracks, radiators...).

Turn the upholstery nozzle on the crevice tool for cleaning fabrics and mattresses.

OPERATION

  • Verify that all the above conditions are observed.
  • Make sure the bag for dust collection is correctly lodged in the compartment under the cover (7). If in doubt, refer to "Changing the Dustbag" section.
  • Verify that the front filter (23) and the rear filter (25) are installed before using the appliance (see "Cleaning and maintenance" section).
  • Completely unwind the feeding cable and connect the plug to the power outlet.
  • Press the ON key (11) to start the appliance.
  • Regulate suction capacity by means of ON/OFF and suction regulation key (11).
  • Move the slider (3) positioned on the handle (2) of the flexible tube up and down to adjust the suction level.
  • The brush (16) can be attached to the back of the appliance during pauses by means of the hook (17).
  • When the bag-full indicator (12) is red, it is necessary to replace the bag (see "Changing the Dustbag" section).

WARNING!

  • Do not vacuum explosive or inflammable materials, e.g. lit cigarettes or combustion ashes (fireplaces, stoves).
  • Do not use the appliance on damp or wet surfaces.
  • Do not vacuum water or other liquids.
  • Do not cover the air outlet holes in the rear of the appliance.
  • Do not vacuum pointy or sharp objects.

  • During use, do not run the appliance over the feeding cable.

  • Use the hand grips (6) and (13) provided to carry the appliance.
  • To avoid dangerous overheating, completely unwind the feeding cable and verify that the dustbag is not full, that the filters (23) and (25) are not clogged and that the tubes are not jammed.
  • Do not stand with the appliance near sources of heat (fireplaces, stoves).
  • Do not press and scratch repeatedly on the surfaces to avoid damaging them and the accessories used.
  • The use of the unit and the accessories must be carried out at user's discretion. TERMOZETA cannot be held responsible for damages to carpets, wooden floors, rugs, mattresses, etc.; verify that the surfaces to clean are not damaged during use.
  • The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a safety thermostat which stops the appliance if the motor overheats.

If the thermostat is enabled, the vacuum cleaner stops; disconnect the appliance from the mains, make sure that filters are not clogged and let it cool down.

  • In case of insufficient suction or if there is no suction, replace the dustbag, clean the filters (23) and (25) and clear the jammed tubes.

NOTE: An indicator (12) shows when the filters are clogged, the tubes jammed or the bag full.

Any use not indicated in this manual is forbidden as well as any incorrect or unreasonable use.

AFTERUSE

  • Press the button (11) to switch off the appliance and disconnect the plug from the power outlet. Never pull on the feeding cable.
  • Press the button (10) to rewind the feeding cable: when carrying out this operation, follow the feeding cable while it is being rewound.
  • The appliance was designed to be stored in a vertical position with the flexible tube, extension tubes and brushes attached.
  • The accessories can be disassembled by unhooking the flexible tube (1) from the appliance by pressing the buttons on the tube connection (4).

CHANGING THE DUSTBAG

This operation must be carried out with the appliance off and with the plug disconnected from the power outlet.

  • Unhook the flexible tube and open the cover by pressing the release lever near the grip (6).
  • Keep the dustbag-holder basket (19) in its position and unhook the dustbag (20) by pressing the peg (21) on the basket.
  • Attach the new dustbag to the basket and fasten with the peg. Make sure the hole of the dustbag is in the middle of the basket hole.
  • Close the cover (7) paying attention not to crush the bag.

NOTE: For hygiene purposes and to improve the suction of the unit frequently change the dustbag (20).

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Always disconnect the plug from the power outlet before carrying out any cleaning operations.

Use a slightly damp and soft cloth to clean the appliance. Never use detergents, acids or abrasive substances. Never immerge the appliance in water or other liquids. Make sure the appliance is completely dry before storing.

The motor filter (23) situated in the dustbag compartment must be washed or replaced at regular intervals.

Proceed as follows:

  • unhook the flexible tube
    open the rear cover
  • move the dustbag and, if it is full, remove it from the basket.
  • remove the filter clamp (22) and the filter (23) from the seat (24)
  • insert the new filter or wash the dirty filter with cold water and wait for it to completely dry before replacing.

The air filter (25) situated behind the grill (14) must be changed at regular intervals. To replace, remove the grill (14), replace the old filter with the new one and reposition the grill.

Contact an authorised Termozeta service centre for purchasing new

dustbags and filters. Always ask for original spare parts.

  • The barred symbol of the rubbish bin shown on the equipment indicates that, at the end of its useful life, the product must be collected separately from other waste.
  • Therefore, any products that have reached the end of their useful life must be given to waste disposal centres specialising in separate collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment, or given back to the retailer at the time of purchasing new similar equipment, on a one for one basis.
  • The adequate separate collection for the subsequent start-up of the equipment sent to be recycled, treated and disposal of in an environmentally compatible way contributes to preventing possible negative effects on the environment and health and optimises the recycling and reuse of components making up the apparatus.
