How to use the Clatronic TA 2629 toaster?

Plug the appliance into a 230V/50Hz outlet. Set the browning level from 1 (light) to 5 (dark) using the selector. Place the bread slices into the slots and lower the lever until it clicks. The toaster switches off automatically and the carriage rises.

How to use the defrost function?

After lowering the lever, press the DEFROST button. The indicator light turns on. The toaster defrosts and toasts frozen bread.

How to reheat already toasted bread?

Lower the lever with the bread, then press REHEAT. The indicator light shows the function. The bread is reheated without being over-toasted.

How to stop the toaster during the cycle?

Yes, it's normal. To eliminate the protective coating on the heating elements, operate the appliance empty 2 or 3 times at the maximum toasting level in a well-ventilated area.

How to clean the Clatronic TA 2629 toaster?

Unplug the appliance and let it cool. Clean the exterior with a damp cloth. Remove the crumb tray by the tab, empty it, and replace it. Do not immerse the appliance.

The toaster is guaranteed for 24 months from the date of purchase. Keep the receipt. In case of defect, return the appliance in its original packaging with the receipt to the store. Defective accessories are replaced free of charge without returning the appliance.

In order to remove the protective layer on the heating coil you should operate the machine approximately three times when it is empty. Please select the maximum level of browning. Any smoke or smells produced during this procedure are normal. Please ensure sufficient ventilation.

Operation

1. Only connect the appliance to a correctly installed safety plug (230 V, 50 Hz).
2. Turn the selector switch clockwise to set the toasting level from the lightest stage 1 to the darkest stage 5. If in any doubt, start with the lower setting (the black mark on the selector switch shows you the setting).
3. Insert sliced bread into the toasting slot and push down the lever until it locks.
4. The appliance starts toasting. The appliance switches off immediately once the set degree of toasting has been reached. The toast then pops up automatically.
5. The appliance has a heat-insulated "cool touch" casing. However, as metal parts still heat up during operation, please allow cooling down before you put it away.

If you wish to use the special functions, press the button you wish to select once you have pushed down the lever: REHEAT or DEFROST. The corresponding control lamp displays the function.

Cleaning

• Before cleaning, remove the plug from the socket and allow the appliance to cool down.
• Use a moderately damp cloth to clean the outside of the appliance.
• Do not use any aggressive or scrubbing detergents.
• Grasp the crumb shaft by the loop and pull it out, remove the bread residue and push the shaft back in.

Guarantee

We accept a guarantee period of 24 months for the appliance we have sold from the date of purchase (receipt).

During this period we will repair any defects in the appliance without charge, provided that these defects are due to material or manufacturing faults. Subject to our own decision, we will repair or replace the appliance. Guarantee services neither extend the guarantee period nor do they mark the start of a new guarantee period!

The receipt of purchase is the proof of guarantee. Free exchange or repair is not possible without this receipt.

In the event of a guarantee claim, please return the complete appliance in the original packaging together the receipt to your dealer.

Defects in accessories will not lead to a replacement of the entire appliance. Free replacement will be sent instead. Do not send back the appliance in these cases, but only reorder the defect accessory! Broken glass damage will always be subject to charges!

Defects in wear parts (e.g. motor carbon, mixing hooks, driving belts, spare remote controls, spare toothbrushes, saw blades and such like) and cleaning, maintenance or the replacement of wear parts are not part of the guarantee services and are therefore subject to charge.

The guarantee will be cancelled in the event of unauthorised tampering.

Repairs can be carried out by licensed dealers or the repair services after the end of the guarantee period, but are subject to charge.
