USER MANUAL CRISPER GK2000W Eldom

- CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Disconnect the appliance from the mains and let it cool down before cleaning it.
- Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
- First rub the heating plates with paper towels in order to remove grease. For ease of cleaning, the heating plates may be disassembled.
- Then clean the appliance and the cord gently with a wet cloth.
- Do not use cleaning agents and dissolvent.
- In case of residue which is difficult to be removed, do not use sharp tools as they can destroy coatings on the plates of the appliance. The best way to remove dirt is to cover them with a wet cloth to dissolve the residue.

INTENDEDUSE
The GK2000W grill is able to replace 2 appliances, often found in modern kitchens. This is possible thanks to 2 types of interchangeable plates, with the help of which a traditional grill can be turned into a waffle maker. This is an ideal solution to save a lot of space in the kitchen.
- SETTING UP THE APPLIANCE
- Make sure that the appliance, the plug and the power cord are in order and that all parts of the packaging have been removed before you start using the appliance.
Important: The appliance may give off a smell while being used for the first time. The smell is associated with the manufacturing procedure. It is a natural process which ceases to occur after a certain period of time. Ensure a suitable ventilation in the room, e.g. by opening a window. Use the toaster with any food products while using it for the first time.

The appliance is equipped with 2 types of hotplates:

To remove the plates, press the buttons (9) located next to the plates.
- To insert the plates, slide their bottom edges into the holes in the housing and press from the top.
USE
- Place the device on a flat, stable and heat-resistant surface.
- Install the appropriate heating plates (3 or 4) and grease them.
- When using the grill plates (3) in the base (2), install the grease container (10).
Contact grill, waffle maker
- Close the lid (5).
- Turn on the appliance to the mains compatible with the parameters specified above, a single beep will sound, all the lights on the control panel (1) will flash once, and the power switch light will start flashing. The device will be in standby mode.
- Touch the power switch ( ) - the lights on the control panel (1) will illuminate.
- Press the appropriate icon to select the desired program, the "Preheat" light will illuminate, and the corresponding time and temperature will be displayed on the screen.
- The temperature and time can be changed by pressing the time ① and temperature ⑧ buttons, followed by the "- " and "+" symbols.
- When heating is complete, the buzzer will sound three times and the "OK" light will flash.
- Put the prepared food (grilling) or carefully pour the batter (waffle baking), close the lid and press the "OK" button to start the selected program for frying or baking the product.
CAUTION The locking device (7) is used only to protect the device from opening when storing. It must not be used while the device is running.
Time and temperature settings can be changed during the program.
CAUTION. The food preparation times defined in the automatic programs are approximate.
- You can check the status of grilled foods or waffles during the program by carefully opening the lid (5).
CAUTION. The steam coming out of the unit is hot - use caution!
- At the end of the program, a beep will sound three times and the unit will switch to standby mode.
- The device will not maintain the temperature.
- Remove hot grilled products or waffles. To avoid damaging the hot plates, use wooden or heat-resistant plastic cutlery.
- When preparing subsequent batches of products, close the lid (5) to maintain the temperature.
- Unplug the appliance from the mains when finished.
Horizontal grill
Horizontal grill is useful for roasting burgers, steaks, poultry, fish and vegetables. In the version, the grill surface is twice as large. You can grill different types of products at the same time without worrying about the flavors getting mixed up, or prepare large quantities of the same type of products.
- Press the lock button (8) and, holding the handle (6), unfold the upper plate (5).
CAUTION. Unfolding the upper plate is allowed only when the appliance is cold. Otherwise there is a risk of burning. Guide the power cord so that it does not come into contact with the upper plate.
- Proceed in the same way as for a contact grill.
