- Before connecting the device to your power supply, please ensure that the supply voltage stated on the rating plate is compatible with your mains supply.

- Do not immerse the device in water or other fluids.

- If nonetheless, liquid should penetrate the inside of the device, unplug the mains cable immediately.

- Keep the cable away from hot surfaces.

- Only use the device with water and appropriate bath oils and not with other liquids.

- Do not touch the mains plug while your feet are standing in water.

- Turn off the device after use and unplug the mains plug from socket.

- Do not stand up inside the device as it is not designed to take the burden of full body weight.

- Place the device on a firm floor area when in use so that it cannot tip over.

- Only touch the switch and the mains plug of the device when your hands are dry.

- Do not use the cable to pull or carry the device.

• Always ensure that the supply cord is not placed under the appliance.

- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

• Children shall not play with the appliance.

- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

- Do not leave the device unattended when it is switched on.

- Only use the device for its intended use as described in the instruction manual.

- The appliance must always be operated with water (content app. 7.3 liter).

- Only fill up the device to the maximum filling height ("MAX").

- The device heats up the water to the selected temperature. It will not exceed the set temperature level.

- Do not use the device outdoors.

- Do not use the appliance in damp rooms like bathroom, near a shower or swimming pools or near to other open water sources.

- Never cover up the ventilation holes on the bottom of the device.

- In the event of a malfunction or damages do not attempt to repair the device yourself, as this would invalidate the warranty. Do not use the device any further. Ask your specialized dealer. Repairs should only be carried out by authorised service centres to avoid hazards.

- If water leaks from the appliance, the appliance should no longer be used.

- Should you have any health questions regarding the application, your doctor will certainly be able to help you further.

- Should you have inexplicable pain or swellings in your legs or feet or have injured a muscle, please consult your doctor before use.

- Stop a massage if you experience pain during the application or swellings crop up after use.

• We advise consultation with your doctor if you are pregnant.

- If you suffer from diabetes or vein complaints, heat sensitivity or circulation problems, or have any swelling, inflammation, skin irritation or cuts, please consult your doctor before using the product.

- People with a reduced sensitivity to heat should be careful when using the device.

- Do not use while sleeping, or if you feel drowsy.

- The surface of the appliance is hot. People who are insensitive to heat must be careful when using the appliance.

In order to achieve the desired effect with your foot spray bath in the long term, we recommend that you read the following information on its use and maintenance carefully.

2.1 Items supplied and packaging

Please check first of all that the device is complete and is not damaged in any way. In case of doubt, do not use it and contact your supplier or your service centre.

The following parts are included:

• 1 MEDISANA foot spa PR-F90
• 6 Removable massager rollers
• 1 Instruction manual

The packaging can be reused or recycled. Please dispose properly of any packaging material no longer required.

If you notice any transport damage during unpacking, please contact your supplier without delay.

WARNING

Please ensure that the polythene packing is kept away from the reach of children! Risk of suffocation!

2.2 Pedicure using the PR-F90 foot spa

Well cared feet are not only looking good, they are also more healthy. Just a few minutes of attention per day are enough to get a comfortable and painfree feeling throughout the whole day. An important factor of your pedicure procedure is a relaxing footbath. The MEDISANA PR-F90 foot spa offers the best requirements to reach this goal. It features a foot massage, an intensive reflex zone massage and red light heat radiation. In every case you achieve an effect for your body with the diverse applicabilities, which will be described as soothing and relaxing by many people. The MEDISANA foot spa PR-F90 enables a foot massage from the sole of your feet up to the bridge. The foot massage improves the blood circulation in the tissue layers, what dissolves venous stasis in the veins and lymphoid vessels. Tense muscles may be eased and the cell metabolism is stimulated.

2.2 Heat treatment and red light

Pedicure using the PR-F90 foot spa

The MEDISANA PR-F90 foot spa heats up the water until the chosen temperature of the water is reached. The water will be kept on this temperature level - it will not increase while using the device. Choose a temperature by pressing the button ⑥. The red light may be switched on or off separately. The red light may support the blood circulation. The radiation penetrates the soles of your feet and causes a smooth, warm feeling.

3 Operating

3.1 Filling with water Before filling the device with water, make sure, that no connection to the mains is present - therefore, the mains plug must not be plugged in! Only plug in the mains plug when the device is filled with water and placed firmly on an even ground and cannot tip over. The MEDISANA PR-F90 foot spa can be filled with up to 7.3 litres of water. The maximum filling height is marked in the foot spray bath. You can use cold or warm water with or without bath additives, just as desired.

CAUTION

Make sure, that your MEDISANA foot spa is used on a damp-resistant surface, where it cannot tip over.

Never use any foaming bath additives or bath salts.

3.2 ON/OFF

Function setting

After connected with the mains, press the button ⑧ to switch on the appliance. Spray function and red light are activated.

Press the on/off button again ⑧ and the device will switch off.

Temperature

The MEDISANA PR-F90 foot spa includes an innovative heating function. This technical improvement makes it possible to keep the water at a constant temperature during application or to warm it.

To activate the heat function, press the temperature selection button once ⑥. The Display ⑨ flashes and shows the desired temperature setting (initial value = 42°C). The water will be heated up, until the displayed value is reached. Each press on the temperature selection button ⑥ increases the setting value by 1°C (setting range: 30°C - 45°C). If no button is pressed for some seconds, the display will show the actual water temperature. The heat function LED ⑦ lights up when the heat function is activated.

3.2

Adjust functions

Massage

The massage button ④ turns on the vibration function, thus massaging the feet. Position your feet on the massage rollers ②, or take these out, and put your feet directly on the studded base of the unit. To turn off the vibration massage, press the massage button again ④.

Air spray / Red light

In addition, the appliance features air spray and redlight (on totally 4 red light spots ⑪). Activate or deactivate these functions by pressing the red light/spray button ⑤. Press the button once to turn on spray function, twice to turn on spray and red light function. A third press on the button switches both functions off.

If you are sensitive to heat or if you have circular disorders, swellings, inflammations, skin irritations or wounds, consult your physician before using the device.

4 Miscellaneous

4.1

Cleaning

and maintenance

• Before cleaning the device, make sure that it is turned off and the mains plug is removed from the socket.
• Pour the water out of the device from one of the corners at the back and clean the device with a cloth when it has cooled off.
• Please do not use any aggressive substances, e.g. scouring chemicals or other washing-up liquids when cleaning. These could damage the surface.
• Store the device in a dry, cool place.

4.2

Disposal

This product must not be disposed of together with domestic waste.

All users are obliged to hand in all electrical or electronic devices, regardless of whether or not they contain toxic substances, at a municipal or commercial collection point so that they can be disposed of in an environmentally acceptable manner.

Consult your local authority or your supplier for information about disposal.

Warranty and repair terms

Please contact your supplier or the service centre in case of a claim under the warranty. If you have to return the unit, please enclose a copy of your receipt and state what the defect is.

The following warranty terms apply:

1. The warranty period for MEDISANA products is three years from date of purchase. In case of a warranty claim, the date of purchase has to be proven by means of the sales receipt or invoice.
2. Defects in material or workmanship will be corrected free of charge within the warranty period.
3. Repairs under warranty do not extend the warranty period either for the unit or for the replacement parts.
4. The following is excluded under the warranty:

a. All damage which has arisen due to improper treatment, e.g. non-observance of the user instructions.
b. All damage which is due to repairs or tampering by the customer or unauthorised third parties.
c. Damage which has arisen during transport from the manufacturer to the consumer or during transport to the service centre.
d. Accessories which are subject to normal wear and tear.

1. Liability for direct or indirect consequential losses caused by the unit are excluded even if the damage to the unit is accepted as a warranty claim.

Any warranty claims prescribed by law shall remain unaffected.
