- Before connecting the device to your power supply, please ensure that the supply voltage stated on the rating plate is compatible with your mains supply.

- Do not immerse the device in water or other fluids.

- If, nonetheless, liquid should penetrate the device, unplug the mains cable immediately.

- Do not use the device if the cable or plug is damaged and keep the cable away from hot surfaces.

- Only use the device with water and appropriate bath oils and not with other liquids.

- Turn the device off after use and pull the plug out of the socket.

- Do not stand up inside the device as it is not designed to take the burden of full body weight.

- Place the device on a firm floor area when in use so that it cannot tip over.

- Touch the switch and plug only with dry hands.

- Do not use the cable to pull or carry the device.

- This device is not designed to be used by persons (including children) with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities, or by persons with insufficient experience and/or knowledge, unless under observation by a person responsible for their safety, or unless they have been instructed in the use of the device.

- Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.

- The device is not determined for commercial use.

- Do not leave the device unattended when it is switched on.

- Only use the device for its intended use as described in the instruction manual.

- If you suffer from diabetes or vein complaints, heat sensitivity or circulation problems, or have any swelling, inflammation, skin irritation or cuts, please consult your doctor before using the product.

- Persons with a reduced sensitivity to heat must exercise caution when using the device.

In order to achieve the desired effect with your comfort foot spa in the long term, we recommend that you read the following information on its use and maintenance carefully.

2.1 Items supplied and packaging

Please check first of all that the device is complete and is not damaged in any way. In case of doubt, do not use it and contact your dealer or your service centre.

The following parts are included:

• 1 MEDISANA comfort foot spa WBB
• 4 Massage inserts
• 1 Instruction manual

The packaging can be reused or recycled. Please dispose properly of any packaging material no longer required.

If you notice any transport damage during unpacking, please contact your dealer without delay.

WARNING

Please ensure that the polythene packing is kept away from the reach of children! Risk of suffocation!

3 Operating

3.1 Footbath and massage with water

Before filling the device with water, make sure that no mains leads are connected, i.e. the electricity lead must not be plugged-in!

When the comfort foot spa is securely placed on the floor (ensuring that it cannot tip over), and has been filled with water, insert the mains plug into the power supply socket.

Generally speaking you can take about 10 to 15 minutes for a footbath with a massage, once or twice daily. However you should ensure that the device has completely cooled off before it is used again!

3.2 Foot massage without water

You can also use the device for a foot massage without water - for this mode switch the Rotary switch ① to position 1 (massage and heat function).

3.3 Filling with water

The comfort foot spa WBB can be filled with up to 3.3 litres of water. The maximum filling height is marked ③ in the comfort foot spa. You can use cold or warm water with or without bath additives.

CAUTION

Make sure that you use your MEDISANA comfort foot spa on a safe and even surface that is not sensitive to moisture. Never use any foaming bath additives or bath salts.

3.4 Setting the functions

Sit down comfortably in front of the comfort foot spa and select one of the three different functions using the Rotary switch. All three positions make use of the heat function, i.e. the water is kept at a constant temperature for up to 20 minutes. However the device is not designed to heat water, i.e. if you fill it with cold water, the water will remain cold.

WARNING

If you are very sensitive to heat, have cardiovascular problems, swellings, inflammations, skin irritation or skin wounds, please consult your doctor before use.

3.5 Aromatic substances

Remove the cap ⑦ and place the aromatic substances and bath oils in the depression located below. During operation of the device, the additive will slowly be mixed into the water.

4.1 Cleaning and maintenance

• Before cleaning the device, make sure that it is turned off and the mains plug is removed from the socket. Pour the water out over the water outlet notches ⑥ and clean the device with a cloth when it has cooled off.
• Please do not use any aggressive substances, e.g. scouring chemicals or other washing-up liquids when cleaning. These could damage the surface.
• Store the device in a dry, cool place.
  • Wind-up the electricity lead carefully to avoid it parting.

4.2 Disposal

This product must not be disposed together with the domestic waste.

All users are obliged to hand in all electrical or electronic devices, regardless of whether or not they contain toxic substances, at a municipal or commercial collection point so that they can be disposed of in an environmentally acceptable manner.

Consult your municipal authority or your dealer for information about disposal.

Warranty and repair terms

Please contact your dealer or the service centre in case of a claim under the warranty. If you have to return the unit, please enclose a copy of your receipt and state what the defect is.

The following warranty terms apply:

1. The warranty period for MEDISANA products is three years from date of purchase. In case of a warranty claim, the date of purchase has to be proven by means of the sales receipt or invoice.
2. Defects in material or workmanship will be removed free of charge within the warranty period.

3. Repairs under warranty do not extend the warranty period either for the unit or for the replacement parts.

4. The following is excluded under the warranty:

a. All damage which has arisen due to improper treatment, e.g. non-observance of the user instructions.
b. All damage which is due to repairs or tampering by the customer or unauthorised third parties.
c. Damage which has arisen during transport from the manufacturer to the consumer or during transport to the service centre.
d. Accessories which are subject to normal wear and tear.

1. Liability for direct or indirect consequential losses caused by the unit are excluded even if the damage to the unit is accepted as a warranty claim.
