TILT PROTECTION

The tilt protection switches the appliance off immediately, as soon as the

BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE THE FIRST TIME

  1. Remove all packaging materials and any transport safeguards.
  2. Check whether all listed accessory parts are present and intact.
  3. Comply with all instructions that are specified in the chapter, "The

ideal location", and find a suitable location.

  1. When you use the appliance for the first time, or if it has not been operated for an extended period of time, a slight odour can occur.

REMOTE CONTROL

  1. Carefully pull the cover of the battery compartment off of the remote control unit.
  2. Insert the battery, in this process, strictly ensure that the polarity is correct; for orientation there are appropriate marks in the battery compartment.
  3. If you want to insert a different battery, ensure that you use type AAA batteries.
  4. Close the cover.
  5. If you adjust the appliance with the remote control unit, ensure

that you hold it in the direction of the fan heater while you are making the settings.

  1. The designations of the buttons on the remote control unit are identical to those of the buttons on the appliance. Please comply with the instructions in this regard in the chapter, "Preparing the appliance for operation".

PREPARING THE APPLIANCE FOR OPERATION

  1. Comply with all safety instructions and safety regulations.
  2. Ensure that you have selected a safe location.
  3. Plug the mains plug of the appliance into an electrical outlet (230V 50Hz)
  4. Switch on the appliance via the ON/OFF switch on the top of the appliance.
  5. The appliance can be adjusted via the remote control unit or directly on the control panel. The button designations are identical in each case.
  6. Press the On/Off button on the control panel.
  7. The fan heater starts to heat at level 1 (1,000 watt). In the display the symbol of half of a sun is illuminated.
  8. If the room temperature exceeds the selected temperature, after approx. 10 seconds hot air will no longer be generated, the sun symbol will be grey and the appliance will generate cool air.
  9. The following information is shown in the display.

Arrow symbol - flashes when the21. oscillation function is switched on.

  1. Select the desired function by pressing the "Mode" button once.

  2. The preset temperature of 17^ is shown on the display.

  3. Now use the "+" and "-" buttons to select the desired temperature within a range from 15^ to 35^ .
  4. The selected temperature remains intact, even if the appliance is switched off and back on again.
  5. Press the "Mode" button again.
  6. In the display the number for the timer setting is illuminated.
  7. Now use the "+" and "-" buttons to select the desired runtime of the appliance within a range from 1 to 23 hours.
  8. Press the "Mode" button again.
  9. The numbers of the temperature and timer settings are no longer flashing.
  10. Select the desired heating capacity via the "High/Low" button. The following heating levels are available:

  11. Level "I" for less heat (approx. 1,000 watt)

  12. Level "II" for more heat (approx. 2,000 watt)
  13. Use the "High/Low" button to change between the levels.

  14. If you want the appliance to swing back and forth, press the "Swing" button.

  15. The arrow symbol appears in the display and the appliance swings back and forth in a radius of 86^ .
  16. To switch off the swing function, press the "Swing" button again.
  17. As soon as all settings have been made and the appliance is working, the anion function is also

active and cleans the air flowing through the appliance.

  1. To switch off the appliance, press the "On/Off" button, switch off the appliance via the ON/OFF switch and unplug the mains plug.

CLEANING AND CARE

Switch off the appliance. To switch off the appliance, press the "On/Off" button, switch off the appliance via the ON/OFF switch and unplug the mains plug.

Allow the appliance to cool completely.

  1. Never use any abrasive scouring agents, steel wool, metal objects, hot cleaning agents or disinfectants.
  2. You can remove dust in the appliance if you carefully hold a vacuum cleaner against the air inlet and outlet grille.

  3. To clean the filter, open the filter cover. Remove the filter and clean it with warm water that must not be hotter than 30^ , (do not put it in a washing machine!)

  4. Allow the filter to dry completely, before reinserting it. Then carefully close the filter cover.
  5. Store the fan heater in a dry, safe place so that it is protected from dust, shocks, heat and moisture.

OVERHEATING PROTECTION CIRCUIT

  1. The appliance is equipped with a double overheating protection circuit that switches the appliance off when it is heated over 70^ C.
  2. If the overheating protection circuit has been tripped, switch the appliance off, unplug the plug from the electrical outlet and let the appliance cool for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Eliminate the cause of the overheating, (e.g. excessive dust in the appliance, air outlet grille is

covered) and start up the appliance again.

  1. If after eliminating the cause, you still cannot switch the appliance back on, or if the overheating protection circuit switches on without an apparent reason, contact our customer service organisation.

GUARANTEE CONDITIONS

We grant a 24 months guarantee, and in case of commercial use a 12 months guarantee, starting from the date of purchase for any damage demonstrably due to manufacturing defects and when the appliance has been used according to its intended use. Within the warranty period we will remedy defective materials or workmanship through repair or replacement, at our option.

Our warranty terms apply only to appliances sold in Germany and Austria. For other countries, please contact the responsible importer. In the event of a claim for remedy of defects, please send the appliance to our after sales service, properly packaged and postage paid, together with a copy of the automatically generated sales receipt, which must show the date of purchase, and a description of the defect. If the defect is covered by the warranty, the customer will be reimbursed for the shipping costs only in Germany and Austria. The warranty does not cover damage from normal wear, improper handling and failure to comply with the maintenance and care instructions. The warranty is void if repairs or modifications are made to the appliance by third parties. Any claims of the end consumer vis-à-vis the retailer are not limited by this warranty.
