- The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use.
- Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
- The device and the mains lead have to be checked regularly for signs of damage. If damage is found the device must not be used.
- Use only original spare parts.
- In order to ensure your children's safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.

Special Safety Instructions for this Unit

WARNING: Risk of injury!
- Before replacement of accessories or additional parts which move during operation, the device must be switched off and cut off from the mains.
- Do not touch moving parts.
- The knives in the mixing vessel are sharp.
- Before switching on, make sure that the accessories attachment has been installed correctly and is seated securely.
- Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.
• This appliance shall not be used by children. - Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
• Children shall not play with the appliance.

WARNING: Risk of injury!
- Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
- Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorized technician. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

Preparation
- Remove the appliance and all included accessories from the box.
- In order to remove any production residue, clean all accessories before initial use as described under "Cleaning".
Electrical Connection
Ensure that your mains power corresponds with the specifications on the type label.
The Kneading Machine
Installation and Operation

CAUTION:
- Never activate the lever (4) when you have attached the mixing vessel! The mixing vessel will tip over.
- Never use the kneading machine with attached mixing vessel.

NOTE:
A safety switch prevents operation without the cover for the mixer motor.
If you have used the mixer, cover the motor shaft of the mixer motor with the safety cover:
- Opening the swivel arm: Press the lever (4). Manually guide the swivel arm to the top position.

If you need the splash guard, attach it now to the swivel arm from below. Hold the splash guard (8) in such a way that the fill opening is positioned in front of you. On the bottom of the swivel arm, there are two recesses on the front and back. Insert the splash guard with its guide lugs into these recesses. Turn the splash guard towards LOCK to lock it.

If you want to use the dough hook (12) or mixing hook (10), first attach the hook splash guard (11). It will prevent the drive shaft from getting in contact with the dough.
Hold the guard like a bowl. Insert the dough hook or the mixing hook from below through the recess of the guard and then lock it by turning it one quarter of a turn.
4. Attaching accessories:
On the top end of the accessories, there is a recess for the drive shaft and the splint. Slide the accessory over the drive shaft. Push down and at the same time turn the accessory anticlockwise in order for the splint of the drive shaft to lock in

Mixing bowl: Place the mixing bowl into its holder. Turn the bowl towards ←→ LOCK to its limit.

Fill your ingredients into the mixing bowl.
- Check whether the control knob is set to "0".
- Press the lever (4) to lower the arm. You must press onto the arm from above, until it locks into the lowest position.
- Connect the mains plug to a tested plug socket.
- Select the speed using the table below.

i NOTE:
- Short time operation: With heavy dough do not operate the appliance longer than 5 minutes and leave for 10 minutes to cool down.
- Setting P for pulse operation: Briefly activate the highest motor setting by holding the control knob in this position.
Pulse Operation
WARNING: Risk of injury!
- Always set the control knob to "0" if you want to interrupt operation.
- Disconnect the plug from the mains if you want to change the attachment.
- Wait for the attachment to come to a complete stop!
- If you activate the lever (4) during operation to raise the arm, a safety switch deactivates the motor.
- The motor switches on again as soon as you lower the swivel arm again!
End Operation and Remove Bowl
- Set the control knob to "0" after use. Disconnect the plug from the mains.
- Press the lever (4) down for the arm to lift.
- Remove the tool.
- Turn the mixing bowl briefly anticlockwise to remove it.
- Loosen the dough with a spatula and remove it from the mixing bowl.
- Clean all used components as described in chapter "Cleaning".
Recommended Recipes
Sponge Mixture (Basic Recipe)
Speed setting 3-4
Ingredients:
250 g soft butter or margarine, 250 g sugar, 1 sachet vanilla sugar or 1 sachet Citro-Back, 1 pinch of salt, 4 eggs, 500 g wheat flour, 1 sachet baking powder, approx. 18 -litre milk.
Preparation:
Place wheat flour with the other ingredients in mixing bowl, mix with mixing hook for 30 seconds at speed 1, then approx. 3 minutes at speed 3. Grease baking tin or lay out with baking paper, fill in dough and bake. Before the cake is removed from the oven, test to see if it is done. With a sharp wooden stick pierce the centre of the cake. If no mixture sticks to it, the cake is cooked. Turn the cake on to a cake grid and allow to cool.
Conventional Oven:

Heat: Electric oven: top and bottom heat 175 - 200 °, gas oven: setting 2 - 3
Baking time: 50-60 minutes
You can modify this recipe according to your taste, e.g. with 100 g raisins or 100 g nuts or 100 g grated chocolate. Nothing limits your imagination.
Linseed Rolls Speed setting 1 - 2
Ingredients:
500 - 550 g wheat flour, 50 g linseed, 3/8-litre water, 1 cube yeast (40 g), 100 g low-fat curd, well drained, 1 teaspoon salt. For brushing: 2 tablespoons water.
Preparation:
Soak linseed in 18 -litre lukewarm water. Place the remaining lukewarm water ( 14 -litre) in mixing bowl, crumble the yeast into it, add curd and mix well with dough hook on speed setting 2. The yeast must be completely dissolved. Place flour with the soaked linseed and salt in mixing bowl. Knead on speed 1, then change to speed 2 and knead another 3 - 5 minutes. Cover dough and prove in a warm place for 45 - 60 minutes. Knead again, take out of mixing bowl and shape 16 bread rolls from it. Cover baking tray with wet baking paper. Place rolls on it, prove for 15 minutes, brush with lukewarm water and bake.
Conventional Oven:

200 - 220 °(preheat for 5 minutes),
Gas oven: setting 2 - 3
Baking time: 30-40 minutes
Chocolate Crème Speed Setting 4 - 5
Ingredients:
200 ml cream, 150 g semi-sweet chocolate coating, 3 eggs, 50 - 60 g sugar, 1 pinch of salt, 1 sachet vanilla sugar, 1 tbs brandy or rum, chocolate chips.
Preparation:
In the mixing bowl whisk the cream stiff with the eggbeater, remove from the bowl and place in a cold place.
Melt the chocolate coating according to the instructions on the packet or 3 minute in the microwave at 600 W. In the mean-time, in the mixing bowl with the eggbeater, whisk eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar, brandy or rum and salt to a foam. Add the molten chocolate coating and evenly fold in at speed setting 4 - 5. Keep some of the whipped cream for garnishing. Add the remaining cream to the creamy matter and fold in with the pulse function. Garnish chocolate crème and serve well chilled.
The Mixer
Notes on Use for the Mixer
WARNING: Risk of injury!
- The knife in the mixer is sharp! Handle the knife in the mixer with the care required, especially when emptying or cleaning the mixing jug!
- As soon as you switch on the appliance, the motor shaft of the kneading machine turns. Do not touch the rotating motor shaft during operation!
- For your safety, always attach the bowl.
CAUTION:
- Never use the mixer at the same time as the kneading machine!
- Never activate the lever (4) when you have attached the mixing vessel! The mixing vessel will tip over.
- Do not operate the mixer without foodstuffs!
- he glass may crack if the temperature is too high! Do not fill with liquids above 60 °C.
- Do not overfill the mixing vessel! Fill to a maximum of 1500 ml (fruit and liquid).
- Froth takes up a lot of volume. Reduce the capacity when liquids which produce a lot of froth are used.
- Cut the foodstuffs into small pieces beforehand.
- Do not fill any hard ingredients such as nuts or coffee beans into the mixing jug.
i NOTE:
The knives in the mixing jug are also suitable for the crushing of small quantities of pure ice. However, remember that this may blunt the knives.
Recommendation:
When preparing drinks with crushed ice, add the ice cubes while mixing. The ice is crushed during mixing.
Set the mixing jug onto a stable, level work surface when filling it. This facilitates the attachment of the lid afterwards.
Installation of the Mixing Jug
Please also observe our overview on pages 3 and 4.
Check the pre-assembly! The seal ring (16), the knife block (17), and the screw-on base (18) must be installed in the correct order.

CAUTION:
- The projection on the knife block must be in the recess of the screw-on base.
- Never forget to place the seal ring onto the knife block, as otherwise the mixing jug will leak.
- Never screw in the screw-on base inclined.
Operation
- Fill the chopped ingredients into the mixing jug.
- Press the lid tightly onto the mixing jug.
- Close the filling opening with the cap. Set the cap into the filling opening and tighten it by turning it anticlockwise.
- Set the rotary control to "0".
- Make sure that the arm has been lowered and is engaged.
- Remove the safety cover (2) from the drive shaft of the mixer drive. Press and shift the grooved surface.

Set the mixing jug onto the drive shaft of the mixer drive. Set the mixing jug with the arrow ▼ over the dot of the base unit. Turn the mixing jug clockwise up to the stop. The two arrows ▼ and ▲ must be one above the other.

Plug the power plug into a certified outlet.
-
Select a speed.

NOTE:
- Short-interval operation: When mixing, do not operate the appliance for longer than 2 minutes. Allow to cool for 1 minute before using it again.
- To refill with ingredients, switch off the appliance. Remove the cap or the lid. Continue operation only with the attached lid and closed refill opening.
Ending Operation
- Set the control knob to "0".
- Disconnect the mains plug.
- Remove the mixing vessel.
- Remove the lid before pouring out the ingredients.
- Clean the used parts as described under "Cleaning".
- Cover the motor shaft of the mixer motor with the safety cover.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Never keep citrus juices or acidic foodstuffs in metal containers.
Cleaning

WARNING:
- Disconnect from mains power supply before cleaning.
- Do not submerge the appliance into water. This may lead to electric shock or fire.
• The knives of the mixing vessel are sharp. Risk of injury!

CAUTION:
- Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive utensils for cleaning.
- Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents.
Motor Housing
Clean the housing only with a damp cloth and a squirt of washing-up liquid.
Mixing Bowl, Kneading and Mixing Attachments

CAUTION:
The attachments are not suitable for dishwasher. Heat and aggressive cleaning agents may warp or discolour the attachments.
- Parts which have come into contact with food can be rinsed out with water.
- Leave the parts to dry properly before re-assembling the appliance.
Accessories of the Mixer

NOTE: Pre-cleaning
Fill the mixing container half with water and run the appliance for approx. 10 seconds. Dispose of the liquid.

WARNING: Risk of injury!
The knives on the knife block are sharp. Be careful when disassembling, cleaning, and assembling the individual parts.
• To clean properly, remove the mixing vessel.
• Disassemble the mixing jug after each use.
- Unscrew the screw-on base from the mixing jug.
- Remove the knife block and the seal ring from the screw-on base.
- The glass carafe of the mixing jug and the lid can be cleaned in a warm rinsing bath. Rinse with pure water and dry.
Seal ring, knife block, and screw-on base
- Rinse these parts only briefly with hot water.
- After cleaning and drying all parts, reassemble your mixing jug in reverse order. For this, also refer to our illustration on page 4.
Troubleshooting
The appliance does not switch on or stops working.
Possible cause:
No power supply to appliance.
Remedy:
- Check the wall socket with another appliance.
- Securely attach the mains plug.
- Check the mains fuse.
Possible cause:
Your appliance has safety switches.
They prevent an unintended start of the motor.
Remedy:
Check correct seating of
- the swivel arm (3),
- the mixing jug (1), or
- the safety cover (2)
Possible cause:
The appliance is defective.
Remedy:
Contact our customer service or an expert.
